Adem runs a great operation! I found him on Yelp two years ago and he quoted a price over the phone. When I showed up he recognized my car from the conversation and honored the quote he gave me. What a nice guy! He was honest, no hidden charges for SUV or larger vehicles like some places try to spring on you after you arrive. A real class act - he took off his work gloves, shook my hand, was so polite - it made the experience really charming! Adem is very professional, an upstanding guy, and very helpful. I bought this car with a problematic engine-light (*note that smog is automatically failed for this type of problem). After a long costly fixes, the engine light is finally gone and I need smog test badly to get the registration going. Took the old 911 to Adem's yesterday. Got there good and early because the previous weekend he'd been busy when I arrived mid-afternoon. This time no line and no waiting. Chatted with Adem some before he got started on the car. What a great guy. Very friendly and sincere. Walked to Mexico City (also 5 starts) for breakfast and when we got back the car was ready. And to my surprise the bill was for $20 LESS than the estimate ($48 instead of $68). How often does that happen! Chatted with Adem for another few minutes while we tended to the paperwork and then I was on my way. It's almost a shame that smog tests are only every two years because doing business with Adem is a pleasure. He takes a genuine interest in people and even though it's a "test-only" station, I've seen him give good advice to people who perhaps didn't pass the first time. My car failed a smog check at a different test only station for legitimate reasons. The guy told me that the failure codes indicated that certain devices on the car were bad & needed replacing. I took it to our mechanic, Akins, the ONLY place I trust. The Akin's crew had it diagnosed & fixed at a better price than expected and needed fewer things repaired than the test only station had recommended. Akin recommended we go to Adem's Test Only Station & I am glad he did. Mr. Adem is a first class guy! His location is a little difficult to find, but his shop is neat, clean, and organized. There is a touch of family all over the place, which always gets my attention in a great way. Mr. Adem also has the most beautiful posters of Turkey on his garage wall. We had a nice discussion about Turkey. (Between talking with Mr. Adem and Akin & Aydin from Akins, I REALLY want to visit Turkey more than any other country in the world! Turkey is beautiful and full of so much history.) Mr. Adem performed a very thorough check on my vehicle, more than I have ever had from any place I have had my vehicles smogged at. He even filled the tires! One thing I like about this place is that they are up front about the cost. Many places will give you a test fee, then there's a cost adder for the certificate and then more for taxes and more for this that and the other thing. Adem told me over the phone what the out-the-door cost was, why it was a little more than the standard smog fee (I was smogging a 1990 minivan, so it needed an extra test) and I was charged exactly what I was told. Adem is very friendly, and gave some free automotive tips while performing the smog test. My test took about 25 minutes, but only because there was one car ahead of me. I'll definitely bring my other cars here when they're due! read more

I was out on a Sunday looking for a last minute smog as we all do. With little hope, I drove to the almaden auto repair area, and that's where I saw the smog sign. Surprisingly, Adem's garage was open and he happily took me. I nervously asked his price through my window, he commented back "49.95"! The gentleman getting his car smogged chirped "can't beat that price". Adem began work about 5 mins later (immediately after he finished the other customer). My wife and I had our border collie with us and he happily welcomed the three of us into the lobby. He seemed to be a dog lover because he offered ours a nice bowl of milk while we waited. Through all the nice welcomed small talk he still finished the smog very quickly and then shared information about his home country with us, because we asked.
