The guy that I usually go to lost his Star certification and he referred me to Adem. Top notch guy and always cracking jokes. My 1993 Ford Truck failed on its first run, and Adem gave me a couple of tips and told me to check the EGR Valve Sensor. Sure enough, the sensor was faulty. What a great experience I had with Adem!! I wish all service people were like Adem! He checked my oil and showed me how low I was. He told me what oil to get and he filled my oil. He also suggested what type of gas to use to prevent my catalytic converter from going out, which is an expensive repair. Not sure how to add to what has already been said here about Adem, so I'll just say the same thing with different words. Smog testing is one of those things where there's not a lot of room for variance in the procedure itself, so how do test places differentiate themselves? Adem is all about customer service and makes it a pleasure to do business here. The guy who owns the shop has the greatest customer skills I have seen. I brought my car to get the smog check and he noticed something wrong so he did not want to run the test to avoid having a dent in my car's carfax. The guy is from Turkey I believe, he is an older dude who takes great care of his clients and he showed me what his priorities were by not forcing a smog check test that was going to fail and would have put an extra $60 in his pocket. read more

I took my car to Adem because his shop is very close to my house. This is the first year my car has needed smog so I had no other experience with smog shops, however, when calling around checking prices, some of the shops seemed kind of shady... Telling me if I brought my car in that day they would give me some great deal: $30 off my smog check! Only $50 out the door!! $80 at regular price???? I don't freakin think so. I showed up at Adems shop in the middle of the day on a Saturday. He was working on another car when I came, but he acknowledged me immediately and gave me a time estimate of how long it would be. He was very prompt and friendly. As I was waiting, I looked around the office and noticed a diploma on the wall. Adem has a masters degree in engineering from Berkley!!! I asked him what the heck he was doing smog for... And he told me the whole story. He used to design huge ships. But he traveled a lot and didn't see his family much. When his company was purchased by an outfit in Paris, he decided he didnt want to uproot his family, and he didn't want to leave them either. So he quit his engineering job and opened his own small smog business at home. What an amazing, selfless decision!!! I will definitely always use Adem for my smog needs from now on, I have tons of respect for him and admire the friendly, honest service I received! read more

Everything about this place is great! The man who runs the place has fantastic customer service skills and was very nice and friendly but not overly so. He got me in and out in 15 minutes even though he had a busy morning. Mentioned I found him on Yelp and he gave me a discount. Also note the entrance is on Almaden Road. A little hard to get to, but definitely worth it. We were quoted $75 for a smog test by another shop, so it was great to come here and get it for $40. Owner Adem was very friendly and informative, he was able to answer all of our questions. When we first called he even told us that our car was exempt and that we didn't need to get the test, willing to be honest even if it keeps business from him gives him super high marks. Though we did end up having to get it, as it's an out of state car. Fast and close to the DMV, yay! read more

I called them late Saturday afternoon to see if they were open on Sunday and Adem said "come now, I'm open and here." So I did and he got me done right away.
