So our 2017 Jeep GC overheated 2 days ago(05/14/26). I found Auto Fix online, and contacted them…read moreimmediately. Made arrangements to bring it in the following day. Did that. Explained my situation and was told it could be done right away. Got an estimate of over $700, and even though I knew that was a bit on the high side for the job, I agreed to have it done. Not even 2 hours later, I got a call from them, that the job was done. $60 for a gallon of coolant/antifreeze, and I had just paid $25 for a gallon of recommended coolant. Of which, one gallon in, one gallon out. that's when I figured it was more than likely the waterpump. And, for the sake of an hour and a half, I got charged $240 for labor. At just over 2 hours worth of labor, how much are they charging for it? Seems like $120-$150/hour. And for a job that barely took an hour and a half, Hmmm!! Anyway, happy that they got my vehicle in immediately, but not happy with their pricing. 20 years ago, I could have done this job myself for well less than 1/2 of that. But considering I'm now in my 60's, just don't have what it takes(tools, facility, or physical condition to do it anymore. Never again. Tired of being legally robbed.

HOWEVER: I returned today with brake issues and had a completely different experience, much more like what you would expect when you are up the creek without a paddle (i.e., when they don't see you as a prospect for future business). I guess all the friends I referred failed to drop my name! In any event, I am rescinding my recommendation after taking this bath. Hopefully, my previous super-positive review successfully deleted. My advice: don't drive past other mechanics to reach Viele's if you are in a bind. Expect that the price will suck, take your lumps, and move on. Be safe. No more reasonable prices for out-of-towners here. (Work was still sufficient on this hard-to-botch brake job, hence, I'll refrain from giving the lowest possible rating despite experiencing the lowest possible satisfaction.)

I'd trust them with any repairs I needed to any vehicle I have ever owned. Number One: THE SHOP IS CLEAN! You can all but eat off the garage floors. I can see that the bays and tools are organized and handy from looking in from outside, and that's a key signature of professional mechanics and management. The office and waiting area are clean as a whistle too; and everyone is very polite and friendly in addition to being knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are VERY fair, and they'll quote you up front for any work to be done. For maintenance, repairs, and towing I rely on Viele's as my go to and recommend them every chance I get.

Our technician was Junior, he was amazing. Everything was removed, scrubbed, vacuumed and polished. The leather seats, the dash and console were cleaned and a protective coating was applied. The car was washed and then wax. The car looked like it just came from the showroom floor. I would highly recommend Upstate Auto Detailing. It was without a doubt the grossest thing I've ever had a dog do and I have had dogs all my life. I really couldn't imagine how it could be cleaned. I contacted Upstate Auto Detailing and Tucker agreed, for some reason, to take it on. He couldn't have been nicer, friendlier, or more professional. Because of the, um, "scope" of the problem I left it with him for 2 days (1 extra day to fully extinguish the odor) and just got home with a renewed car. But, they also fixed (or faked) other 'problems' that we didn't ask about, for a total cost five times what we expected going in! We took our car in for an A/C recharge and oil change. Somehow they decided we needed new wheel bearings ($$$), even though we weren't having any problems. We couldn't even tell that they actually did anything. When we came to pick up our car, Boyer's had drained the battery to the point where the dash wouldn't light up. We had never had a problem starting the car prior to this. So we had to leave it there. When they replaced the battery a week later, they not only charged us the full price for the problem they had caused, they also tacked on some small charges for other 'fixes' we hadn't approved. This included new headlamps (I happen to have checked the headlamps just before bringing the car in and they were working fine then) and adding oil (I guess they forgot they had just changed the oil!)

Boxley's has two locations and in addition to auto detailing they clean homes and businesses. I went in last Friday Morning and they were immediately ready for me the customer service rep took me to the waiting area and the owner happened to be in at 9:00 a.m. He had me wait in the office/ waiting area, offered me a beverage turned on the Today Show for me and was so cordial and friendly. This was my first visit and he was so warm and welcoming. I chose the Ultimate Vehicle Bath which included a hand wash, tire dressing, Interior vacuum, Interior dash wipe down. The windows were cleaned and they applied spray wax. They also did additional detailing which I didn't ask for but I appreciated such as console clean, rim shine. I gave the service crew an additional tip for the extra service. My car looked brand new. I will definitely be back and would recommend their services.
