Top Mexican Breakfast in the area. I stopped in for the first time and picked up the ham and egg plate and it was one of the best I've ever had. I'm always on the hunt to find the most authentic delicious Mexican food when I'm on the west coast and this is the gem I've been looking for. The potatoes were seasoned perfect, and the salsas hit the spot. Only 1 tortilla an order but it's huge so you could rip it in half if you wanted 2. Not really sure what all the 5 star reviews are about. The employees were friendly and the flour tortillas are good, but that's about where the good ends. We got an Arizona burrito with carnitas instead of asada, a ham and egg burrito, and a machaca plate. The carnitas were dry and bland, the potatoes were clearly seasoned but somehow tasted like dirty water. The ham and egg burrito average. In total we spent around 35 bucks. If the food was good I'd be happy to spend that, but after this experience we won't be back. read more

Yummy food! This place is a hidden gem. It's located by some questionable trailer park and the place itself needs a remodel ASAP but the delicious food makes up for it. I always order the plate chorizo with eggs (comes with a good size portion of chorizo and egg plus potatoes, beans and tortilla) and I'm never disappointed. I have also tried the menudo, machaca and eggs, chilaquiles and the BEST pancakes Ever!! Everything has been delicious so far. This is a neighborhood restaurant and the staffs /owners were very nice and friendly. We had lunch here with couple friends for the first time. The food were very authentic but the price seems a bit high for this location consider there are so many other Mexican restaurants nearby. The restaurant itself is very small and 4 seats are the biggest table. I had a bowl of 7 mares which is seafood soup for $13.99, my husband had carne osada and our son had 2 beef tacos & rice and bean plus 2 large orcheta drink and our bill came out $42.00+tips and this was lunch. The toilet is outside tuck in the back of the restaurant (little bit dirty), but no sign at the door, so you pretty much just guess which door. Needed a place for a Breakfast Burrito while in Mesa. Read the reviews and decided on Adrian's. The neighborhood or outside appearance of the building was not a factor for me in my decision. The food was the number one priority. What I got was the best Egg, Chorizo, & Bacon burrito that I've ever had. My girlfriend got the Special Breakfast burrito and was enjoying it when she decided to take a bite of mine, now mind you she's Mexican and very picky when it comes to Chorizo, I'm happy to say that she loved it! She went on to say that most places don't do it right and that's why she doesn't order it out, but because of how they prepare the ingredients of the burrito and the quality of the Chorizo that they use it was perfect. I got both green and red sauce and I loved the red, just the right taste and heat. Lastly the staff was very nice, I'll be back for more. read more

This Family run business is doing it correctly, great food and sensible prices. I had the tamales and Rice and bean plate with two sunny side up eggs on my Tamales. The food took me back home the way G'ma and Mom would make. Being content with the meal but having travelled from Chandler to visit, I walked back in for a second plate. Really good food at a small mom n pop shop! There is very little seating so be aware of that when you go. The food is excellent- very homey and huge portions. I got their chilaquiles which were different than what I've had at other places but absolutely delicious. Their burritos are also amazing. I was having a craving for some good mole and came across this little gem. The chicken mole was pretty good and my boyfriend had a green chili burrito deep fried enchilada style. He loved it. The beans were one of the best I had ever had at restaurant! So flavorful and authentic. The only complaint that I have is how much seating is in there but the food is so good that it's worth waiting for a table. I look forward to coming back and trying the goat stew. read more

I am always on the hunt for ethnic cuisine prepared as close to how it's prepared in the home country. In the greater Phoenix/Scottsdale area the concentration of such restaurants is mostly concentrated in Mesa, Chandler and, to a degree, in Tempe. These communities are quite a distance from where I live. So yesterday when I was in close proximity to Mesa I yelped and found Adrian's. Home run!!!! This was my first time here and I ordered the goat stew. It was one of the best I have had outside of Mexico. Chunks of tender goat, ligament and fat in a bowl full of stew. I topped this with chopped onions, coriander and lemon. A spoonful of rice accompanied by this masterpiece was not only delicious but as very filling in a very good way. The heat was mild but most appropriate. Accompanied by a Mexican soda (my choice was sangria) it was a perfect lunch. Service was friendly and prompt. Hole in the wall restaurant with cheap prices and great food! I'm not a fan of the Mexican options I've tried here in Phoenix. Having lived in Mexico and being from San Diego (taco shop capital of the world) I have high standards when it comes to Mexican food, this is a place I can easily recommend. The one downside is a lot of people already know how good it is, so expect to wait for a table. I noticed a lot of people calling in their orders might be a good idea if you want to take avoid the wait and enjoy on the go. P.S. So, looking to grab some lunch after a class at Mesa Arts Center today - spotted Adrian's on the local search - 85 reviews - 5 stars - sounds promising... We navigated our way to the restaurant (a little challenging thanks to the light rail, but well worth the detour!). We spotted the sign, and pulled in, parked, and walked in. I decided to try the Chile Rellenos, while my son went for the Chicken Mole. The rellenos were really good - lightly battered, cooked to perfection, and tasty as all get out! I'm not usually a fan of mole, but I snagged a bite off my son's plate - it was also really great. And did I mention the savory refried beans???
