My car got in to a problem in the snow and I hit the curb badly hitting a patch of black-ice. Wheels, Axle, alignment, certain parts of the suspension & etc, were damaged leaving the car not-drive-able. That's where the team of Johnson & Freddy come in at Advance Auto Body. I got the car towed to their shop and they took it from there. They kept me in the loop by texts and calling, even letting me know of items that I should get done for maintenance such as, tires etc. Johnson went out of his way to get me some great deals on tires since I needed some. To top it all off, since the car was a little late in delivery to me, Johnson went the extra mile to get my car fully detailed inside and out (especially the inside since it was dirty). I am not someone that writes reviews, but I knew I had to write one after I got my car back. I wanted to take the time to share my positive experience with this body shop and show how much I appreciate their excellent work. I was rear ended and the owner of the other car wanted to pay out of pocket. I went to 3 body shops for quotes and Advanced Auto Body gave me the most reasonable price. I went ahead and used them because of the great reviews and now having my car fixed up I can see I made the right decision. The car is a 2021 Subaru and I got it back looking like the first time I saw it in the dealership. The bumper was perfect. The car looked brand new. I don't know ANYTHING about cars so I always feel like I can be taken advantage of, but they were always upfront and trustworthy. My daughter rear-ended someone a while back and I had been holding off on getting the car fixed since it was still running. I finally decided to go and get some quotes from shops that were recommended on both Next Door and Yelp. Freddy's quote was less than half of the other quote so I decided to go for it. Once he started working on it, he did find some additional issues (the car is a VW Beetle and she hit a giant Lexus SUV) that he let us know needed to be fixed. Even with a couple of hiccups along the way, he always communicated with me to let me know what was going on - and at no point did the final cost get anywhere near the other local quote - and it was done in record time. I needed some some rust repair on my car. I checked around some body shops around Skokie and most gave me some expensive quotes. I finally checked Advanced Auto Body and spoke with the owner, Johnson Shino and gave me a cheaper decent quote and the estimated timeline of how long the work will take. I got my car back as promised with the repairs promised and paid exactly the amount I was quoted on. The labor and cost were more than my actual quote but I paid the quote I was promised plus they wash my car and vacuum inside. Back in August, I had a ding on my passenger door and stopped in to get a quote. They told me I could spend over $1,000 to have it fixed, or a couple of hundred to have it "good enough". I appreciated the choice. I went with the less expensive option. Johnson came to my house, picked up the car and left his just in case I needed it, and several hours later brought my car back basically good as new and without spending an arm and a leg. He called up the distributor immediately after looking at my 1998 Camry. The part came in the next day! He pushed hard to complete the old school paint and installation for about $200. That is half the price, I got at another place (not even including the paint job)! I would totally recommend this shop to a friend.
