Some time ago, I decided that I would provide follow-up reviews on those things which are expensive and meant to be used over a long period. Clearly, air conditioning/heating units fall into this category. It's been a year and a half and our A/C/heating system works without issue. It a heat pump, electric or propane hybrid heater and works great. I think its SEER rating and according to my crayon math, that system alone saves about $400 to. $700 per year depending on weather overall. The heating and A/C performances are top-notch. I also have a ground-mount solar panel system put in by Apex Solar (another company for which I'll give a well-deserved good review like TTF HVAC in the next few weeks). I am saving so energy on the solar system that I believe I can heat the house for at least half of the winter, saving another $400 to $500 per month because TTC put in the hybrid system. Taking into account the cooling and warming of fall and spring, respectively, that's another $1200 or $1500 from late November to late April. I'll update those numbers next year. Tony is straight shooter, his employees are happy and do good work so I know they are treated well. Tony is responsive and attentive to details and respects his customers as only a smaller company can do. I feel its only fair to return an equal amount respect in return. A person can spend more or less money on another company but I honestly think that a person couldn't send better money than using TTF. I'm fairly certain that I would have to earn $10,000 to $12,000 a year to have the pocket money it takes to keep the house comfortable using TTF and APEX. Not bad and thank you, Tony. read more

What really stood out was their integrity -- they spotted a small dent on the new unit (I didn't even notice), hauled it back immediately, exchanged it within two hours, and installed a perfect replacement. Tony was referred to me by my friend with strong endorsement. I am so glad I gave Tony a cal. He helped me replace furnace and all old air ducts. A few years later, he put in heat-pump AC for us. Great service both during my HVAC upgrades and post-installation support! Tony and his team did an outstanding job upgrading my 40 yr old HVAC system (2 furnaces & 2 AC units). Additionally they installed a whole house fan (highly recommended) to save on A/C costs during the summer. They provided very a detailed proposal with several options for upgraded units and pricing was competitive with other offers. Their work was outstanding as they sealed off the entire garage during the demo with a negative pressure system to avoid any asbestos contamination. The entire job was completed in less than 3 days start to finish and the quality of work was impeccable. I am writing this review 5 years after the initial installation as I recently needed some help on a minor issue. My townhouse still had its original furnace from 1970, which was an extremely narrow model crammed into the side of the utility closet. When it died on me three years ago, there were no more furnace models that could fit in such a tight space. TFF was able to make just enough room for a new one by additionally performing the service of removing the water heater next to it and moving it over a couple inches, and also putting in a leak detector and drain pan for safety, which I didn't have. That was back in 2019. Fast forward to last week, and I notice that the furnace they installed wasn't kicking in anymore. After checking the diagnostic light and giving them a call late Friday afternoon, Tony called me back on Saturday. He knew exactly what was wrong and gave me instructions on how to make the fix myself, given that it was relatively simple. I opted to schedule for Monday morning, and he showed up, swapped out a fuse, and everything was fine again--no charge! Great long-term care from a detail-oriented company. My AC was blowing hot air during a heatwave (of course your AC always gives up when you need it). Tony is there for the rescue! TFF installed my system a while ago and I am technically out of warranty but even then they stand behinds of their work. Reliable and trustworthy was all I would ask for during a service call but Tony threw in a big bonus with his unbeatable rate. Even though they were slammed with request, Tony was able to squeeze me in as soon as possible which is super helpful as I have a one year old and he suffered with the heat. Tony always showed up on time as he promised and worked diligently. He explained me in details of the problem I had which was a leaked in the line and had it fixed properly. He insisted putting on shoe covers even when I was ok either way, and the house was exactly like nothing happened. I would like to start off the review with the customer service they provide to there clients. From the initial setting the appointment with me to the inspection they do. I was having issues with me HVAC and thermostat. They figured out the issue and proposed to replace the ducts and change my old thermostat. Almost exactly 3 years ago TFF installed a new air conditioner in my house. Fair price and excellent service was what made me select them as the vendor to do the replacement. Fast forward 3 years and right during this terrible heat wave my air conditioning stops working. I call and of course they are very busy but he got back to me the same day (Friday evening) and said he would stop by on Monday to take a look. He discovered that it was drawing too much current on startup and tripping the breaker so he added a capacitor in the unit to help lessen the current draw on startup and that solved the issue. He also cleaned up some of the electrical cutoff panel work that he had inherited from the original air conditioner from 20 years ago. No charge on the repairs. We contacted TFF via email and Heidi replied right away. Heidi does an excellent job replying to our emails in a timely manner. TFF helped me install a Nest thermostat, they replaced my sister's AC unit and they also helped out my mom. We thought that her AC unit broke and we asked Tony to take a look at it and replace it. He came by, looked at it and saw that the AC unit wasn't broken, it was the circuit breaker that wasn't working correctly. He fixed the circuit breaker and the AC unit was working again. What a refreshing difference from some other vendors in the area who we had bad service from before. Our house gave off carbon monoxide alarm, so we asked Tony from TFF HVAC to take a look to see if it was a problem with our heating system. Tony arrived early to the appointment. Looked at the heating system, and said there was no problem. As such, he said, he wouldn't charge us for his service.
