Not sure how this company is getting a 5 start rating from other customers as I have a very different experience with them. I contacted them for an HVAC upgrade quote and they did schedule and perform an on-site inspection at my home. After that, I have spent the last month trying to get them to follow up with a proposal. After multiple phone calls and emails in addition to taking a half day off work to host the inspection, I have wasted a lot of time with nothing to show for it. I am giving two stars for some good ideas they relayed during the inspection but no follow through at all. read more

We contacted Gabe at Supreme Comfort services multiple times this year as we purchased a new home in San Jose in March 2019. He came highly recommended by our sister-in-law who he had done a huge project for a couple months prior. After our experiences with him and his business we also highly recommend him to all of our friends and co-workers. Here are a few things helped us with: 1. INSPECTION: Before purchasing our new home in March 2019, we called him to inspect our existing HVAC. We wanted to take down a wall in our home which ran right along the ducts crossing from the living room to the kitchen and were concerned this would not be possible. He reassured us that the house looked great and the heat and air also was in great shape. 2. NEST: A couple months after moving in we wanted to upgrade to a Nest from our older console and could not get the wiring figured out. He came over the next day to help us figure out what we had done wrong. We later found out that he is an expert in Nest connectivity and has them available while installing new/patching duct work in his homes. 3. TESLA CHARGER: Due to our new long commute we decided to get an electric car but were unsure of the work needed to install the charger to the inside of our garage. Without a doubt Gabe was there to answer all of our questions. He suggested texting pictures of our current electrical panel and where we wanted to install the charger in our garage. He determined that our electrical was a little old but wanted to see if he could find a connector part through a used shop that may match with our current electrical panel. We appreciated this because as new parents, home owners, now new car owners he was trying everything he could to save us a coupe bucks. Unfortunately, we were not able to find replacement parts but Gabe found a way to run new wiring through the beams in our garage to connect to our Tesla charger so we did not have to replace the entire electrical panel. We were so grateful for his quick thinking! Gabe and his team were extremely easy to communicate with, punctual, fast, and most of all always treating us with the same care and attention as he would as if we were family. I can't say enough about Supreme Comfort's service. Woke at 5am last week to a cold shower - water heater was not working. I called Marlen as soon as they opened and despite their schedule being completely booked Gabe had someone out to look at it and confirm the water heater needed to be replaced. They were able to get a new one and came back to install it, not finishing until nearly 9pm! March of 2020 I had them put in new heat and AC and again the service was top notch. After my reliable HVAC service person retired I did not relish the prospect of finding another firm / person that I could rely to repair my old furnace. Other than the PG&E technician who indicated it can be easily repaired and does not need replacement, the half dozen other firms I tried would recommend replacing with a new HVAC without even properly diagnosing the problem ... yes, a couple said they can repair but quoted a high price to convince me to replace. All these firms had hundreds of 5 star reviews, but I noticed that almost all were for replacements and very few of them were for repairs. Then, Pastor from Supreme Comfort amazes me with his diligence in diagnosing the problem (even though I told him the problem appears to be the Gas Valve Controller, he did many other tests to confirm that was indeed the case) and giving his honest assessment that the furnace can indeed be repaired and does not need replacement. He quoted a fair price and amazingly he had the replacement part in his truck (the two others had indicated the part would be hard to get and recommend retrofitting with an electronic ignition valve that is recognized to be less reliable). While he replaced the part, we chatted and it was crystal clear that he truly knew his art due to his hunger to learn and understand the "why" instead of just the "how" ... and took pride in honestly earning a living. I am lucky to have found this business and will rely on them for any needs in the future ... including replacing my HVAC when that is needed in the future. Gabriel and his team installed our AC and furnace earlier this year, just before the heatwave. He was very knowledgable, and recommended the perfect solution for our house with is 4 levels. He also recommended the right thermostat and provided me links for cost effective replacement parts and filters for future use. When Gabriel and his team were working on our house, they took extreme steps to make sure everything is clean, and the packed after themselves every day at the end of the work day - we didn't even notice they were there, and the house did not look like a construction site. Once everything was installed, Gabriel went with me through all the steps, and then explained how I can extend the warranty for free. He was extremely approachable, and did a fantastic job. Had some issues with my A/C unit and called out a company I had used the month before on a different A/C issue to check it out. The technician told me my freon was completely gone from the system and gave me 3 expensive options to fix the problem. He said I must have a leak because it's a sealed system - it should never be down to zero. I felt uncomfortable with this technician and decided to get a second opinion so I called Gabriel at Supreme Comfort HVAC Inc. Gabriel showed up on time, was extremely nice, clean and professional. He pressure tested my system and sure enough, I was indeed completely out of freon. He then tested for leaks - none, zip, zero leaks. He decided to keep the pressure test going overnight to make sure. He came back the next day - still no sign of any leakage. Hmmm, how could that happen??? (I have my theory!) Gabriel not only replaced the freon in the system, he fixed a loose duct in the attic, insulated one of the parts, added a secondary drip pan in the attic, and his price was way more reasonable than the other bid I had. You know, it's such a relief to deal with professional, competent, honest and reasonably priced repair folks who are not trying to scam you into spending a ton of money. Whereas others wanted to put holes in three sides of the unit, Gabriel offered a much simpler suggestion, and didn't leave out any large chunks of work that I would have to get someone else for. So glad I found Gabriel. I had 4 different vendors come to give me a quote for an ac install for my newly purchased home. They all seemed ok and some were going to give me a cash discount etc.. when Gabriel came, he was the only one to go up into my attic, crawl around to see exactly what needed to be done so he could give me a fair and accurate estimate. While he was doing that he noticed several code infractions that my home inspector missed! He recommended I take care of those items before moving forward with the ac install, and he was right. I had to get an hoa inspection beforehand and I was able to work out a deal with the previous owner so I didn't have to pay anything. If he didn't catch that I would have lost thousands of dollars when I inevitably sell this place. Gabriel's estimate wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. But Gabriel was obviously the most knowledgeable and IMO possessed the most integrity. He and his crew came in and did an excellent job. He showed me exactly what was done and taught me how to use my new system. I have since called him a few times with questions and he is always willing to help. I recommended him to a few friends and family. My friend was about to get a whole new ac system installed because the vendor he spoke to said that was necessary. He was about to pay 6-7k for that new system. I insisted he try Gabriel before committing to that, and Gabriel was able to repair his current system for a couple hundred in a day. I am writing this review because there are a lot of companies out there that will not hesitate to take advantage of you. If you go with supreme comfort you can eliminate that possibility. Just had Supreme Comfort replace my entire 29 year old HVAC system with completely new installation of both zones. This was a big job which included units in the garage and attic. We had to replace two furnaces, two condenser coils, two AC units, all the plumbing, wiring and updated Ecobee thermostats as well as getting everything up to current code. I couldn't be happier with the crew, the work and the recommendations they provided. We decided to go with Carrier 96% efficiency furnaces and 17 Seer AC units. The entire process from the initial visit, to the quote (with options) to scheduling to installation to final permitting was extremely smooth. After getting two other quotes, Supreme Comfort was recommended by a neighbor and they got my business not by being the lowest cost (they weren't, but very competitive and you get what you pay for) but for their expertise, thoroughness and engagement during the initial visit and quoting process. Supreme Comfort did some HVAC work for my sister and they did a great job so I thought I'd give them a call to see if they installed tank less water heaters...and they do! Our 50 gallon tank was shaking and nearing the useful life so we decided to upgrade to a tank less. Supreme Comfort came out the very next day after I called. They were professional, reliable, courteous and super reasonable with pricing. Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable and recommended moving the water heater to a more convenient location to maximize our space. You know it's a good company when they do what they say they will do. They came on time, put down rugs to keep the work area clean, finished when they said they would and the price was exactly what they quoted even though they moved the water heater and added some extra piping. I'm thrilled with our upgrade and the work completed. The invoice was e-mailed with a link to pay electronically. This was the most seamless process I've had in working with a contractor.
