Aero Shade was fantastic to work with, and a we want to give Arlen a huge shoutout for his help and patience. Long story short, we needed a window shade for our living room (to help blunt the strong afternoon sun) and decided to stop by Aero Shade to see what options we had. As with many home decorating projects, choosing the "right" solution presented us with an overwhelming number of possibilities (color, material, opacity, cost, etc.). But Arlen and the crew at Aero Shade went above and beyond. Arlen and his team spent at least an hour with us going over the myriad of options and gave us multiple samples to try at home. While there, we set up at at-home visit (for a free estimate). Arlen came by the next day; he took window measurements and gave us his recommendation for how to mount the shade. Within a few minutes, we had a quote (and Arlen made a point of saying that there was no pressure or rush to decide). After a wet winter, the sun finally returned, so we were anxious to place an order -- and that process was equally easy: we stopped by the store, paid the deposit and got a 2-week install estimate. Fast forward just three days! and the shades were ready. The installer came by on time and within 15 minutes, the job was done. Excellent service shouldn't be such a rarity, but since it is, it's important to recognize it. Aero Shades is, without question, the best shades store in Los Angeles, in my opinion. In 2017, they installed bottom up shades for my balcony French door windows and my office, which allowed me protection from the blazing sun and allowed privacy and protection from outside annoyances. I have had zero problems with my shades until driving rains got to one of them last spring and it had to be re-stitched. I cannot recommend Joe or Phil from Aero Shades more highly to you. My family has been going to Aero Shades for years. We've gotten at least 7 or 8 mini blinds from here I believe. Well recently one of the mini blinds stopped working properly. It wouldn't stay up so I brought it in to Aero to have them repair it. They've repaired other blinds of mine before for a reasonable fee. This time it didn't need any new parts so they fixed it within 5 days and didn't charge me anything. Try doing that with cheap mini blinds from the Home Depot!!!! I called a few local places inquiring about bottom-up shades with no luck and most suggested the more expensive alternative of top-down bottom-up shades. I wasn't looking for anything fancy and almost gave up until I contacted Aero Shades. The salesman, Rob, came out to my condo within the next few days to take measurements and was really professional about everything. He didn't try to sell me on the other more expensive styles (motorized, top-down bottom-up, etc) and brought a bunch of different samples to make my selection. Since I've very indecisive, I asked him to send me samples of a few of the fabrics along with a quote which he was glad to do and it arrived in just a few days. I was told a 2-3 week turnaround to cut/make the shades, but I wasn't in a rush. A few weeks later, Salvador, the installer came by and set everything up nicely. The shades came out just as I expected for the price. Nothing to complain about so far. There was a minor mistake on my final balance and Rob fixed it promptly. From my conversations with both guys, it seems like they do jobs all over the area including out of state. 5 windows approximately 5'x8' each was about $1000 total. (solar trans shade material) The entire process was convenient, especially that I didn't have to drive out to their store. Yes, I'm lazy. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Aero Shade. This company made every effort to cater to my needs. I made an appointment to have a salesperson visit me at home. He arrived on time, was very professional, assessed my windows and interior designs, measured all the windows, and showed me a myriad of options to choose from for window coverings. He explained and demonstrated the various factors one needs to consider when choosing coverings, from the aesthetics to the functional aspects of shade/light & privacy offered. He was very patient with me and my wife. We then scheduled a follow up appointment at the store on 3rd street to view even more samples in their showroom and decided on the cordless duets for most of the windows, balloon shades for the nursery, and linen drapes for the dining & living rooms. We later scheduled the installation appointment and the workmen arrived on time, were very professional, installed everything just as they had explained they would, and everything looks fantastic! The cordless duets are amazing. Everything dovetailed nicely with our current design motif, and as a result of the salesman's very helpful input we have fantastic light coming from the windows during the day & privacy when/where needed. His communication was first rate, and the workmanship in the final product is just wonderful. Ours was a difficult job because of an angled and sloping ceiling, and when the drapes arrived too long, Aero shade sent a seamstress on site, sewing machine in hand, to hem them perfectly. I had decided on Bottom-Up Shades which I found exceeding difficult to purchase in LA. I had two sources in Northern California but did not want to do the installation myself. I walked into AeroShade and met Chris who showed me the sample in the showroom and let me take home samples of several fabrics that I was interested in. Rob came out to measure the windows and answer my questions. He brought the sample book and I bought solar shades. I was told that it would be about 2 weeks. Well, 5 days later they were ready for installation. The installer [sorry, forgot his name] was very nice and did an excellent job installing 19 shades total! I ordered roller shades from Aero for a loft. The sales person wasn't very knowledgeable and just tried to sell me what everyone else was getting. I told him multiple times that I wanted my room to be dark so I could sleep in during the morning. But he kept insisting that I wouldn't want black out shades. So I ordered what he suggested but wasn't satisfied. I had to order new black out shades and ended up paying for my shades twice. I should have listened to myself and ordered black out in the first place. Also the new blinds had a TERRIBLE chemical odor for the first day. I don't know why they couldn't air the blinds out before installing them. Instead I had to suffer through a miserable night of inhaling toxic fumes. read more
