This place was sooo bad! I'm pretty sure I am going to sick from the food I was just had. We ordered the Baba Ghanouj and it was pretty much tasteless but we would have let that slide as long as the food was okay. I ordered the fish tikka souvlaki and my husband ordered the lamb tikka souvlaki; both of which were tasteless and chewy. How could they call these "tikka," anything they didn't have any flavor at all! The tomatoes on my souvlaki had gone bad from the taste of it (and who knows what else). I noticed the fries I had gotten tasted funny too, after having my husband taste them he said they had probably gone bad and served us old fries. I asked for hot sauce to cover us some of unpleasantness of what I was eating and provide even an ounce of flavor and what I got was some "hot," and extremely oily sauce that tasted like bad as well. Apparently, they didn't have hot sauce? They just gave me some flavoring they use which is a pretty bad one so I can' t imagine anything they use that on would taste any good. Please save your money and go somewhere else! I don't know why this place has 4 stars but I feel it should be negative 4 stars. read more

Came here for a work lunch, the restaurant is quite big with a private parking lot. I ordered the lambchop which was pretty good. It was pretty well-seasoned and flavorful. The side fries were a bit dry. They also serve you pita and hummus and both were good. The service was good. The waiters were pretty attentive and we didn't wait for too long to get our food. This is a pretty standard restaurant. The food is kind of tasty but nowhere near amazing. It's not every authentic either- it's kind of a fusion of a Greek and American grill, but it gets the job done if you're hungry and less discerning. I never realized that fries were such a cornerstone of Mediterranean cuisine, haha. Of the few times I've been here, I've tried the gyro plate, dolmades, and biftekia, which were all ok, but pretty plain and under-seasoned, and they got pretty boring after a few bites. Entrees come with a big salad, toasted pita bread, and hummus as appetizers. Plus the portions are huge for such a great price. The location is pretty convenient- I always see people walking here to get takeout. This place seems like it'd be very busy at lunch. The outdoor patio is nice in the summertime, and the staff is very friendly. However, last time I was here, there was this really weird Asian guy in a blue lab coat that would keep walking back and forth past the restaurant. He even went in and told us not to eat here because it was a "bad establishment." What a creep.... In conclusion, it's good if you're in the area- standard food but great value. You WILL be stuffed. This place is wonderful! Sometimes, we have food catered in at my work from Agape and I'm never disappointed. I haven't been to the restaurant as of yet, but I hope to find it and go in! The food is amazing! The salad is very light with lettuce, tomato, red onion and cubed cheese. The shish-kabobs are just awesome! The lamb and chicken is so tender! Came here on a Friday night and the place was packed. They had live Greek music and people dancing on the floor which was all great. The food though is average, especially the chicken tikka wrap and the chicken tenders plate. The chicken was bland, not fully cooked and not flavorful at all! I came here in a pretty good mood after my interview for my internship with the managers who had just interviewed me. The meeting had gone pretty well, which might have cause a bit of a bias in my taste buds. The meal began with a plate of complimentary pita and hummus. The pita was very warm and soft. We quickly finished a basket of these and the server promptly came out with another (yay!), but I had to watch myself to not eat too much of these in order to not get full before my main dish even came out. For my main, I got the Falafel Entree with fries, I believe. Of the very few times I have tried falafels in my life, this was probably one of the better, more flavorful ones. However, what really topped the meal was this olive oil dipping sauce (?) that came with the plate. I think the sauce might have been specifically for the fries, but I ended up putting it on my falafels too. I called Agape to cater a work event and everything went great. Their catering menu and simple and easy to order from. The portions are good and the trays come steaming hot. I ordered the tri tip, spanokopita, lamb kabob, hummus and feta and olives. The meats were cooked perfectly and flavorful the roasted veggies and rice that came with the orders were flavorful as well, they as much care into their sides as they do to their entrees. That is a rare trait. The sides and dips were fresh, one of the best hummus variations i have tried. I would order from Agape again. They are on-time and pleasant to work with. read more

I love this place. The thing I like the most is that all the ingredients are really fresh and the garlic fries are to die for.

The food gets four stars. It is delicious and generous with good amount of meat and vegetables. It is not as greasy as Athena Grill and not as lean as Ephesus, the food is nicely balanced. It is also a good candidate for take outs when you don't feel like cooking. Because of the good price and service, I gave it an extra star. I won't mind eating there once a week. read more

I am new to the area and have set up shop in Sunnyvale on Stewart Drive. I find the area to be severely lacking in quality locations for lunch, save one. Just down the street from my office is the Agape Grill. They serve Mediterranean and they do that very well. Staff is always pleasant and prompt. Only down side, being one of the few places for lunch in the area lunchtime is busy. A hearty "thumbs up", but come early. read more

Honestly just okay. The rice is kind of weak. The free pita and hummus are good, though.

I like this place because it's nearby my work so I go here every once in a while. The fries are really good and the other items are fairly good too. The lamb shank isn't all that good, and it's actually not as tender as I'm used to, but keep in mind that I live in a middle eastern household so we eat a lot of GOOD lamb so I'm probably a bit spoiled in that category. Overall I like this place and will be back for the usual lunch. I recommend it if you wanna grab some filling food for a decent price. read more

It is surprisingly bad. How come a simple recipe can me made so greasy and burnt it is unbelievable. When you ask well done meat, it comes with 3mm of carbon layer regardless of it is chicken or lamb. French fries is soaking oil, salads are not always fresh. The food is fantastic (one of our friend said he never liked Greek food but he liked this one!). The problem is the wait time is super long. We are a group of 17 people and we waited 10mins before we got an server to order food. Totally 50 mins before we got our food. Maybe it's because they have to many people that day. Great gyro. I love gyros. And if I am ever at a restaurant that serves them... I feel inclined to order one because I love them so much. The small and large parties I've been to have receive the same great customer service. Wait time is not more than 5 minutes if even. They may have to do a last minute table adjustment. The food is amazing not only in options, wait time and presentation but the taste. It is the best Greek food I've had since visiting Greece. Takes me right back to the family and restaurant authentic meals. Their fries and house sauce are incredible. Always leftovers that still taste good the next day. Wraps have the perfect combinations and the dip appetizer is always a must. Tucked out of the way with odd hours is part of the charm. Huge dining room, they host banquets and will be completely reserved. Even with a larger crowd the host and waiters are attentive, not annoyingly too much or too little. Desserts to go, yes! With to die for baklava. You won't be sorry you gave this place a try. If you're thinking of Murphy in downtown you'll be disappointed. Picked up take out for workday lunch. Fast, friendly service. Orders ready in less than 15 min (less time than it takes for me to get there). Lots of seating inside and outside. Outside there are umbrellas for shade cover, and the fact that it's not on a busy street means you can actually hear the conversation (always nice). Arrived at noon to pick up food and the place was almost empty - had me worried for a bit. Don't know what it's like during Friday lunch, but no worries about waiting for a table. I ordered lamb tikka (souvlake wrap). Wonderfully spiced lamb meatballs, red onions that weren't too strong or overpowering, sliced tomatoes, and some spring mix (added nice flavor compared to the usual sliced lettuce). The lamb, omg the lamb! While I am 90% sure that I was not biased from hunger, it is hard to say because the lamb was SO GOOD. Great flavor, and the outside was a little caramelized from the cooking. Unfortunately I got take out, so by the time I got back to the office and started eating, the bottom of the pita was a little soggy. Pita by the way was DELICIOUS! Wrap also came with tasty fries (could also get soggy if left in take out container for too long - condensation - which is not the restaurant's fault) and olive dip. Recommended! ~$10 for wrap, tip, and tax. Will definitely come back for fast, tasty greek food. read more

I like this place. I've been here once for dining in (it was fine) and many times for takeout. The food quality is pretty good and quantities are generous. The fries have a tough time getting home in take out -- they get cold and not so great, but fries are tough in take out, in general. I think the plastic containers they use for take out makes the food soggy in the trip home. The agape and hummus are good. We also use them for delivery at work sometimes. It's better when delivering in large quantities because the food doesn't get cold as fast. Their range of hours where they are open is great. They are also reliable in being ready for take out on time. Overall, pretty good, just some details to work on for takeout. read more
