Went today to watch the world cup and saw the menu beers were $6 bottle Michelob and Modelo and when it was a set and done the were charging $9 à beer that's hilarious ,the first 2 were $6 and then the other 6 beers at $9 and when I questioned them they told me they had a typo on the menu .. pretty slick right..how is that possible ? When the first 2 beers were charged at $6 And then they Snuck in the 18% service fee which was not in Menu. I am glad I didn't order food when they were running a scam ,I guess they figured everyone is having a good time and drunk and will not notice. Wrong .. do not go there and benefit thieves

Went here for race day on Saturday April 18th. We wanted to take a break from the Grand Prix Indy car racing. Found this place on pine. As soon as we entered the front entrance we got carded by the Bouncer. Now my mind was saying, its 1:30pm and your carding people just to come in and eat? There are plenty of other restaurants and bars on pine that serves alcohol and that you are able to bring children with you to eat. I was observing on people coming in and the bouncer is asked for ID on some folks that look like they were 80 years old. It comes to my attention that this place doesn't use any common sense at all. One is to ask, what makes this restaurant so special to ID folks that look like they are 80 to 90 years old? Dissappointed We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and 1 soda. Burrito was small for being $20. Overpriced and food was just eh. 2nd they got our order wrong. We asked for 1 chicken and 1 carne asada. We recieved 2 asadas. We asked for a coke refill and our server forgot to fill up our cup. We had to ask her twice. Additional to that, the coke was flat. She was playing waitress and bartender. Who does that on Race day out of all events taking place in LB. Staffing was not in their right senses. So our service was not that good. She was all over the place. Coming in every 20 mins of my total stay of 1.5hrs Bathrooms could use alot of help. No napkins to wipe your hands. Did not feel clean at all. Dissapointed. Lastly I had a plastic cup with coke in hand and I was about to walk out. The bouncer stated you cant take your drink outside and I replied that it is only coke. The rule is stated, nothing comes out. Again, what makes this place so special, asking myself? Overall, One and done for this location. To many rules that apply and stringent enforcement for no reason. It is complete nonsense. Food is expensive and service is just meah to me. Dissappointed from my experence. "Friendly but dissapointing food, service and rules."

Margaritas were delicious. Had the watermelon one, would definitely recommend! The staff here is always so sweet.

José is great! I met him at a yelp event in Long Beach and he was catering watermelon and lime tequila drinks. He has the best customer service.

We came to Agaves Kitchen on a Sunday for brunch with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and overall it was definitely a mixed experience. The patio had a DJ playing music, which actually set a fun vibe, though it was pretty loud and made conversation a little challenging at times. After a bit, our waitress came by to take drink orders. I ordered a Diet Coke and asked for chips and salsa -- she clarified it would be an order (so I assume they're not complimentary), which was totally fine. The restaurant was clearly busy, and it looked like there was only one waitress and one bartender working, so service felt stretched thin. After taking our drink and appetizer orders, she came back for meals. There were about eight of us, and surprisingly our main dishes arrived before the cocktails and appetizers. I ended up canceling my chips and salsa because my meal came out first -- and anyone who knows me knows I like to fill up on chips before diving into my entrée! That said, the food itself was delicious. I ordered chilaquiles (my go-to brunch order), and they easily made my personal top-10 list -- really flavorful and satisfying. Unfortunately, my Diet Coke was flat, and when I mentioned it, I was told their sodas were flat, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the food was very good, but the service experience would probably keep me from returning. Some of our group stayed to enjoy the dance party afterward, but I called it a day after brunch. Parking was $15 in a structure around the back.

Chill spot on taco Tuesday's. 1 bartender and 1 server. Service was ok, no major issues. Not the vibe I saw online but maybe I try again.

Service fee for no service

This establishment operates with zero hospitality. I wouldn't even call it "service"; it felt more like being robbed. The bartender, Yatzyl, was incredibly unprofessional--dancing behind the bar and ignoring patrons for over 30 minutes while prioritizing specific people over others. To make matters worse, after paying a cover charge to get in, I was forced to pay an automatic "service fee" (tip) for someone who provided no service at all. When I called to complain, management offered nothing but a hollow apology. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

Mariscos Chile Relleno (it has scallops and shrimp) Highly recommended!

Came here for the first time just to hang out. The space is pretty small but it wasn't packed on a Saturday. It is free seating. Our server, Tony was really nice and friendly. We tried the agua chile and chile relleno. Both were good and I see myself ordering those again. Too bad they close early, at 10pm. They have a night club beside it which opens at 10pm. It's in downtown LB so parking is always challenging. We parked at the paid public parking just 1 block away. $5.55 for 2 hours. You can extend your parking on your phone. Overall, I would come back again. I just wish they would play more upbeat/lively music.

they give out old menus with lower price items, ex 4 dollars for lemonade, then when the bill comes they charge an extra 2-4 dollars PER DRINK, the lemonade came was 6 dollars, because that's their "new price" and the menus were "old". they do not charge us for the price we listed on the menu, but instead told us it was OUR FAULT for not looking at their online menu to confirm the price. absolutely ridiculous, SCAM. keep in mind the "old menus" are labeled for the 2026 world cup we are here for, so i hardly even believe that.

Daysha was a vibe from the beginning to the end. We order unlimited mimosas and we definitely got unlimited. The margaritas flight was good but it could have been cheaper. The food was good and hot. Definitely will be coming back. Ask for Daysha if you want a good time.

Spectacular Mexican food! I'm so glad TikTok recommended this place because I may have never…read morestumbled upon it otherwise! I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! You can't go wrong with Mexican food!

Not impressed by anything we ordered, given the competition locally…read more I will drive to Acton, CA (124 miles round trip) for their chicken tortilla soup ... bringing back 3 quarts of it after our meal is done. The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

I'm honestly shocked I haven't reviewed this place yet because I've basically eaten my way through…read morethe entire menu at Enrique's. If you want big portions, legit authentic food, and prices that won't personally offend you--this is your spot. The pork shank? Fall-off-the-bone, no-effort-required kind of delicious. The tacos are (I do wish they had à la carte instead of plates, but honestly their rice and refried beans slap so I'll allow it). The ceviche is basically an entrée disguised as an appetizer, and the chicken arroz soup hits every time. They bring out chips and salsa immediately (as they should), service is quick, and there's plenty of parking--which already puts them ahead of half the restaurants in SoCal.

I opted for the carne asada plate - simple and not spicy. Hubby ordered the Carne en su Jugo- very spicy with tomatillo broth and serranos, cilantro, bacon and onions. Both of our entrees came with bean soup and tortillas. The chips/ salsa starter was addictive. Huge basket of fresh warm chips, and a salsa like no other! Chunks of veggies and just the right spice. It was hard to get those chunks on the chips but it was delicious. My carne asada was tasty, a large portion with grilled scallion and rice. I wish some of the "bean soup" had been pureed to be a bit thicker but the broth was good, with a variety of beans. Hubby's dish had an interesting flavor, very spicy. He wished the broth had some rice, though, to accompany it. We could come back weekly to try many more entrees. Their salads sound tasty, too. Service was great.

It was open seating when we arrived which majority of the tables was taken where all the television were. The main dining area had a television set up but main bar area was where the action was taking place. We got lucky as there was a table available along the wall with perfect view of the game. Of course it was rain delayed so more time to enjoy food and drinks. Also it was happy hour and taco Tuesday all at the same time. As the game was happening, one of the tequila sponsors was there offering deals. Shot and a jersey. Tony took care of us that night and he was amazing. Made sure that we got everything we needed. Very sweet as well. Happy hour menu offered a good amount of items for a great deal. As well as draft beer and cocktails. Regular menu is great as well which we've had before. Food, an order of the tostada both with shrimp and aguachili. Served with two small tostada and handful of crevice on top. Both were quite tasty and very well flavored in the juice. Also two of the street tacos with birria. They were quite small but did have a major punch of flavor to it. And well priced at 2.50 a piece. Of course the crinkle cut loaded fries with added carne asada. Seemed like it was a popular item as every table had it. It was good but a little skimpy with the topping. Lastly the chicken wings, lemon pepper flavor. Six piece tossed in the sauce. It was good but way too salty for my liking. We still enjoyed everything we had. As we got the shot with the jersey earlier, the person who was affiliated with the sponsor brand was walking around with more shot. I must say, it does hit the spot big time...lol... The crowd was lively with everyone all there for the same reason. The game and good company. First time for happy hour and it was nice. We had a great time and everyone working was the sweetest. And Tony was amazing. Took very good care of us.

Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH.
