1st visit but this place has got me as a loyal customer now. We got in to watch Spain vs Argentina in the Finals, and we had the best time. Food was on point, drinks were dangerously delicious (Pro tip: Watermelon cucumber margaritas are perfect for a hot day!) and the hospitality was A++++. Our server Daysha was high energy, incredibly efficient, and always checking in despite the chaos of the World Cup! Oh we'll definitely be back!

(4/5) Stopped by Agaves Kitchen & Tequila on Pine Avenue in Long Beach during the FIFA World Cup watch party, and it ended up being a really fun experience. We didn't originally plan on coming, but Pine was shut down for the festivities and the atmosphere was great. Lots of fans, big screens, and a fun energy throughout the game. Because of the event they were running a limited menu, which was completely understandable given how busy everything was. I ordered the burrito without rice and really enjoyed it. The green sauce and cheese on top were delicious, and the fries were perfectly crispy. We also shared the ceviche, which was fresh and flavorful, and the house chips that came with it were surprisingly one of my favorite parts. The margaritas were solid and hit the spot while watching the match. Service held up well considering the crowd, and overall it was a cool place to spend the afternoon. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when there's another big event happening. Food: 4/5 Drinks: 4/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Overall: 4/5

Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I paid for 4 "bL*wJ*bS" then was told after I paid that they didn't have the liquor. Then I asked for 4 buttery n*pple shots instead and the bartender didn't know what that was. So we had to opt for vodka shots. Place was clean. Restrooms were clean. Security was nice. Music was good. We went in at 10pm. We stayed a little after midnight. We went Friday 7/24/2026 . Was a good night. Dj played good music.

Went here for race day on Saturday April 18th. We wanted to take a break from the Grand Prix Indy car racing. Found this place on pine. As soon as we entered the front entrance we got carded by the Bouncer. Now my mind was saying, its 1:30pm and your carding people just to come in and eat? There are plenty of other restaurants and bars on pine that serves alcohol and that you are able to bring children with you to eat. I was observing on people coming in and the bouncer is asked for ID on some folks that look like they were 80 years old. It comes to my attention that this place doesn't use any common sense at all. One is to ask, what makes this restaurant so special to ID folks that look like they are 80 to 90 years old? Dissappointed We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and 1 soda. Burrito was small for being $20. Overpriced and food was just eh. 2nd they got our order wrong. We asked for 1 chicken and 1 carne asada. We recieved 2 asadas. We asked for a coke refill and our server forgot to fill up our cup. We had to ask her twice. Additional to that, the coke was flat. She was playing waitress and bartender. Who does that on Race day out of all events taking place in LB. Staffing was not in their right senses. So our service was not that good. She was all over the place. Coming in every 20 mins of my total stay of 1.5hrs Bathrooms could use alot of help. No napkins to wipe your hands. Did not feel clean at all. Dissapointed. Lastly I had a plastic cup with coke in hand and I was about to walk out. The bouncer stated you cant take your drink outside and I replied that it is only coke. The rule is stated, nothing comes out. Again, what makes this place so special, asking myself? Overall, One and done for this location. To many rules that apply and stringent enforcement for no reason. It is complete nonsense. Food is expensive and service is just meah to me. Dissappointed from my experence. "Friendly but dissapointing food, service and rules."

Marcy makes the best drinks. Guacamole and chips were great too.Thank You for the hospitality

Went today to watch the world cup and saw the menu beers were $6 bottle Michelob and Modelo and when it was a set and done the were charging $9 à beer that's hilarious ,the first 2 were $6 and then the other 6 beers at $9 and when I questioned them they told me they had a typo on the menu .. pretty slick right..how is that possible ? When the first 2 beers were charged at $6 And then they Snuck in the 18% service fee which was not in Menu. I am glad I didn't order food when they were running a scam ,I guess they figured everyone is having a good time and drunk and will not notice. Wrong .. do not go there and benefit thieves

José is great! I met him at a yelp event in Long Beach and he was catering watermelon and lime tequila drinks. He has the best customer service.

We came to Agaves Kitchen on a Sunday for brunch with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and overall it was definitely a mixed experience. The patio had a DJ playing music, which actually set a fun vibe, though it was pretty loud and made conversation a little challenging at times. After a bit, our waitress came by to take drink orders. I ordered a Diet Coke and asked for chips and salsa -- she clarified it would be an order (so I assume they're not complimentary), which was totally fine. The restaurant was clearly busy, and it looked like there was only one waitress and one bartender working, so service felt stretched thin. After taking our drink and appetizer orders, she came back for meals. There were about eight of us, and surprisingly our main dishes arrived before the cocktails and appetizers. I ended up canceling my chips and salsa because my meal came out first -- and anyone who knows me knows I like to fill up on chips before diving into my entrée! That said, the food itself was delicious. I ordered chilaquiles (my go-to brunch order), and they easily made my personal top-10 list -- really flavorful and satisfying. Unfortunately, my Diet Coke was flat, and when I mentioned it, I was told their sodas were flat, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the food was very good, but the service experience would probably keep me from returning. Some of our group stayed to enjoy the dance party afterward, but I called it a day after brunch. Parking was $15 in a structure around the back.

Mariscos Chile Relleno (it has scallops and shrimp) Highly recommended!

Came here for the first time just to hang out. The space is pretty small but it wasn't packed on a Saturday. It is free seating. Our server, Tony was really nice and friendly. We tried the agua chile and chile relleno. Both were good and I see myself ordering those again. Too bad they close early, at 10pm. They have a night club beside it which opens at 10pm. It's in downtown LB so parking is always challenging. We parked at the paid public parking just 1 block away. $5.55 for 2 hours. You can extend your parking on your phone. Overall, I would come back again. I just wish they would play more upbeat/lively music.

Each of these items were delicious, but I'd return for the ceviche and chilaquiles. The ceviche was a delicious mix of sweet and salty. Their tortilla chips are made fresh in-house and paired perfectly with the fresh cut fish. I was also impressed by their cocktails. With family in town, we visited a number of fan-favorite restaurants across the coastline. Panxa stole the show for best mixed drink: the watermelon margarita. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. Ola still exceeded expectations and provided a more than pleasant meal.

This is what El Torito, Rodrigo's, or LA Capilla wishes it could be. We had early dinner here two days ago. If you know, you know that if you get here after 4:30 pm, be prepared to wait about 30+ minutes to get seated. It's very popular and the parking lot is an odd shape and a parking spot can be a challenge. The complimentary chips and salsa are what you would expect. Very good. The Margaritas are good and they have great mixers. My wife ordered the cheese enchiladas with the green sauce. I ordered the mixed fajitas (Asada, pollo, and shrimp). It came with nice thick homemade corn tortillas. The side of rice is nice and fluffy and the refried beans are very good. In the past I have ordered ther shredded beef enchiladas with the red sauce and their shredded beef hardshell tacos. Those are my go to. Their mixed Molcajete is very good here and best to share. Its a lot of food. This is a really well oiled machine here. The staff is always welcoming. Servers are on top of pushing for cocktails and the the kitchen pumps out very hot dishes quickly for as busy as they get. It does get a little loud in there, but we'll worth the good food.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation, and it was an hour wait, so we went to the bar. A couple was just getting up, so we snagged the table. Our waitress was excellent. She brought us menus, water and were given hot chips with fresh delicious salsa. We ordered the happy hour margaritas and they were perfect to start things off. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce. The shrimp were big, the sauce was yummy, and the rice and beans were very good. Everyone else was happy with their order. Our waitress quickly ran up the check, as she knew we needed to get to a concert. She was always friendly and helpful to us. We enjoyed our meals, We will be back.

Me trying to decide between the asada burrito or the nachos and they bartender said go with the burrito.I went with the red chile, it comes with cream sauce, served with a thin layer of beans, sautéed onions, cilantro, topped with monterey Jack and mozzarella cheese. Very good tasty burrito. A couple at the bar who sat next be me was offered tortilla chips and salsa by another waiter. I was not offered this. It would be been a nice add. They did keep my soda glass filled so i appreciate that. For dessert i tried the churros with ice cream. Ice cream came pretty melted already lol i understand it was more hot in the resturant than outside for some weird reason. I had to eat it fast but the churros were delicous! Bar area is nice, they have TV's to which the games. The place was like 80% filled, good vibe here! Food rating: Asada Burrito Plate 7.5\10 Churros and Ice cream 8.0\10
