This is the kind of restaurant you always hope you'll find but very hard to nowadays. Friendliness, speed, most importantly taste. Very nice touch by giving you a bottle of water right when you sit down. Something so little nowadays really goes a long way. This was our third visit and they just have noticed our repeat patronage and brought us some Thai tea on the house. Now the food, I've tried a good variety now and generally speaking, all fresh, fast and delicious. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm sorry, since I don't like writing bad reviews. But this place's food was pretty bad. We love green papaya salad and have had it many places; the batch we got here was literally inedible (way too hot for a 5 out of 10) so we tossed it. Besides the spiciness issue, it had no flavor, no proteins, hardly any veggies, and about a teaspoon of peanuts buried at the bottom. The other dishes we ordered were acceptable, but nothing special. Pad Lao noodles had almost no vegetables or meat. Chicken satay was OK, but nothing we'd order again. All in all, there are way too many good Asian restaurants around to give this spot another try. read more

The food is pretty good and fresh. Service is also good, the only thing is that I let the server know I am diabetic so I asked if the food had any sugar and they named a few dishes that do so I went with the yellow curry with chicken and vegetables and it was really good but it was very sweet so I could not eat all of it. Awesome service and even better food. I am vegan and come here pretty regularly as they offer vegan/vegetarian versions of most of their food. My favorites are the Pad Thai, Spicy Basil, Spicy Eggplant and Tom Kha. They use a coconut creme for the Thai iced tea and it is so good it's nearly addictive. Best Lao/Thai food I've tried in this area! I always order from here. I've tried the yellow chicken curry, drunken noodles, pad see ew, Tom yum, beef jerky, and mango sweet rice. So many protein options available and vegan options too. I absolutely love how everything is individually prepared, wrapped, and separately labeled even during COVID restrictions. Tried this place for the first time, food was amazing! Presentation was beautiful!! Food was fast and customer service was as superb. Food was so good!!! I love some spice so I always get drunken noodles. I recommend getting mild spice and extra spice on the side to add to your tasting. They are super friendly and even gave us free rangoons. Definitely recommend coming here. If I were to go again I'd get everything except the rangoons. Love this place. When I found out they were opening in the middle of the lock downs, I was shocked and assumed they would be out of business quickly. Super good, super fresh and super accommodating! While in Chula Vista was looking for close place to eat and found Ahan Lao. Vegetarian yellow curry was a large enough for two people and fresh rolls were huge. All very nicely balanced with flavor and freshness. When back in the area, I'll be back again. read more
