We've been here maybe 5 or so times, but the last visit really caused some issues for me. Me and a friend both got food poisoning from the food and that will be the unfortunate end of our visits to any of their locations... It's really unfortunate that this happens but there are food regulations and safety measures supposed to be in place to prevent things like this from happening so I can only assume they are allowing ingredients to expire and allow them into peoples food. I will never risk it again because that was 2 days of my life I will never get back... I would highly recommend trying someplace else. read more

I can't comment on the food quality as I ended up walking out. The service was HORRIBLE!! The employees were so concerned with making all the online orders that they left the rest of us that came into the store waiting for a ridiculous amount of time with no acknowledgement. When I finally get to the front a new person comes up and tells me it's going to be a little bit before we can get to you. I wouldn't say AhiPoki is bad but I wouldn't say is great. It's just average. For the price, I was expecting better quality fish. I think I have eaten really great poke in Hawaii and know what great poke taste like. The price point needs to be decreased because for $18, I was expecting better quality and taste. You're better off going to a Japanese market and buying poke from there. They fill up the bowls with other ingredients to distract you from the main thing which is the fish. Just average. Came in during lunch. This place is new to me. Found it on yelp. Other reviews and photos looked good. And it was! I got a variety of toppings but my protein choice was salmon and blazin salmon. That was a first for me. Very impressive! Their house house was really good. So was their house spicy sauce. Service was really good. These guys move fast. And they're very friendly. This restaurant was clean and huge. So plenty of room for you and guests. Parking is plentiful too. I like a clean restaurant and this place was a pleasant experience. Now the reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the price-portion ratio. Two scoops for $13.50. I didn't get much rice and salad, and their toppings aren't decent portions either. Small scoops of protein and their extras are a bit much. Avocado is $1.50 and each additional scoop was $2.50. Factor that in for a really good bowl, you'll be at almost $20. Too much for me. It's just lunch. I really like that it's fresh salmon and real avocado. However, I won't be back for that reason. I did enjoy my lunch. And I don't have complaints. But at the end of the day, I know other poke spots I can get the same or more, for the same amount or less. Same quality. Try them for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Super friendly staff. Want to give them 5 stars just for this. I cannot understate how refreshing it is to feel welcome as a customer these days (most places have teenagers working who IG or you and act like you are imposing on their day) ... I will say the bowl I got was mediocre. This is only the second poke place I've actually ever tried. But the other place I tired was AMAZZZING. Flavor explosion in my mouth. One of the best things I had ever eaten. So I had hoped and expected to have a similar experience here. What I found is that this place had less topping options and gave way smaller portions of the protein (tofu in this case), it just didn't hit the same. Also, the other places mixed the bowl up for me, so I didn't have to try and do it without spilling everything everywhere on my tray. I don't think I will come back here again - but I can see why it would still be really good for other people ... who like the toppings they have better than me. I wish this place was closer to where I live because it is a little gem. I recommend trying their kelp noodles if you don't want too much carbs. They add a seaweed crunch that compliments the various flavors of the toppings you choose because they really don't have much flavor... just remember mix it and not eat it just on its own. Their tropical (guava) drink is also delicious, but on the sweet side. You can always dilute it a little with some ice water. I have only been here twice, but a great place if you are craving poki. read more

I think it would be a better idea to actually order in-store, since it looks like they prioritize their in-store customers. Also, they never seem to quite get my orders right. It's located across from Ikea, it's conveniently located in Covina off the i-10 freeway. Parking was abundant. The decor is spacious for a poke restaurant, and the music isn't too loud to carry a conversation. The friendly and well-trained cashier grilled the salmon and wrapped the ahirrito. No complaint there at all. The food was served in a clear plastic to-go container which has a lot ridges that your fish and rice could fall in between the ridges, and it is very difficult to get your food out! Or you can eat rice grain by grain slowly. The ahirrito was served in a bowl, which doesn't make whole a lot of sense. The seaweed doesn't hold up the content which could the rice could burst out. About 5:30 on a Monday evening: not crowded and we were greeted quickly by a very friendly employee. Two other employees were very friendly too. We've been here every few months over the last 4 years and are always pleased with the service. We each chose 3 scoop bowls. Hubby likes the flavor of the brown rice better than the white rice; I always get all salad greens for my base. We each added scoops of fresh raw salmon, tuna luau and chicken another raw salmon in slightly spicy mayo sauce and soybeans. There's also shrimp, very spicy sauce and other choices. We added in cucumbers, green onions, seaweed salad, ginger, wasabi, pineapple - there are many choices. Many different dressings and toppings too. AhiPoki is yet another poke place. What makes this place stand out from other places is probably the Tuna Luau which many of these make-your-own-poke places do not have. The Tuna Luau has green onion, avocado, and onions. They also have spicy options like Blazing Salmon and Kimchi Shrimp. The base options are also unique as they do have kelp noodles other than rice and salad. Avocado costs extra which can be irritating to a degree. I usually get a regular sized bowl with one scoop Tuna Luau, one scoop Salmon, White Rice, Ginger, Avocado, Crab Salad, Ginger, House Sauce, and Spicy Creamy Sauce. The fish portions are okay, sometimes the scoops are big, sometimes the scoops are not. The Tuna Luau is very fresh, nicely sliced into thick cubes, with a light marinated flavor. The salmon is also consistently fresh with a melt in the mouth texture and no sinew in any of the pieces. The White Rice has a soft, chewy, and cool texture similar to sushi rice without the vinegary taste. The Crab Salad has a hint of mayo but not too much. The House Sauce is sweet and savory. The Spicy Creamy has a great balance of spicy and mayo flavor. I've noticed through delivery sometimes they pack everything into a microwavable plastic container. Other times they separate the rice into a different container with the fish and toppings in a separate container over ice. The ice helps keep the fish cool which I appreciate. I find with most orders sometimes they mix in one of the sauces, have the second sauce in a separate sauce container, or both in separate sauce containers. I usually get two sauces and the results have varied in how they're prepared. Can't comment on the service since usually order through Postmates. I enjoy their poke bowls! Not gonna lie, it's kinda mid. Maybe I've been spoiled by other poke places, but the cost here for 2 scoops is the same at other places for 3 scoops. Call it being spoiled, but I much prefer poke places that have the option of avocado/guacamole for free instead of having it a premium topping. I got the ahirrito and it comes with 2 scoops of fish. I got blazing salmon and spicy tuna. Despite making it after my order, the nori was already a bit soggy (didn't wait longer than 5 min afterwards to eat it) and the distribution of the innards was unbalanced. There was some slight heat in my burrito, but nothing really mind blowing. Not gonna like for how much I paid, there are better poke places out there. read more

Had my first visit here was last week and enjoyed. I got the 3 scoop poke bowl with half spring mix and half white rice. My scoops were regular tuna, tuna luau, and spicy salmon. I had a few of my favorite toppings and sauces and everything tasted great. They were pretty busy with the walk in crowd, phone orders, and delivery app orders but it didn't take too long to get through the line. Across the street from IKEA I came here since poke sounded good. To my surprise this place is absolutely amazing. $13.50 for a two scooped bowl is a great deal in todays time. Service was good and the servers explained to me their choice of combination of sauces. There are some unique flavors of poke so I'd try some out of the norm ones. The food was flavorful and good portion sizes. We ordered a salmon plate, 2 teriyaki plates and a custom 2 scoop plate. The restaurant was setup so that you follow a path and can be socially distanced. When I walked in I saw the ice cream and stopped to check the flavors. The employee was nice and asked if I wanted ice cream and I said yes but after I order. I liked the options to choose from to customize the orders - even the salon plate and the teriyaki plates had options to customize. Since I ordered 4 plates, I tried to change some of the toppings up a little. The employee did a good job remembering when I said I wanted to duplicate certain toppings, but accidentally used a tong from a completed order on another order (it was from a spicy plate being used to mix a non spicy plate). Come here often. The food is good but the consistency in size and amount of toppings, and the pricing is all over the place. Got a tiny portion of toppings. Asked for a little more seaweed, and find out at the register that I was charged an extra .75 cents... for a quarter size dollop of seaweed. CANNOT BE TRUSTED :(. I've been here over 30 times and in person service is fine but online orders are a blatant rip off. Ordered eight poke bowls today and five of them were wrong, all missing Ahi tuna. They were so cheap that they didn't even put enough mixed greens to cover the bottom of each bowl, the black plastic was visible on all sides. Disappointing! Never trust this location for online orders. This is the third time they get my online order wrong and that is consistently unacceptable. read more
