This was our first time eating here. It was amazing. I personally thought I wouldn't like raw seafood. But it was really tasty. The flavors came together beautifully. I highly recommend you try this place at least once. I can not tell you everything I go because there were so many items piled in my bowl. It's like subway. You pick your base (rice, noodles). The you pick your meat. Then you pick the veggies, then sauce, & last the toppings. The staff was friendly and helped with our selection since it was our first time having a poki bowl. The place was open for dine in. They allowed for seating in every other table to keep the 6 foot rule in effect. I would eat here again. read more

The service is great here. You can tell that the staff has been trained well to provide a positive experience. I wish the fish quality was better here. I've also gotten spam musubi here a few times and the rice is always undercooked when I order it. I will still keep coming and hope improvements are made. read more

Food is good and fresh. However the portions are really small ( as in the scoops ). I also wish they were a little heavier on the sauces I feel like I couldn't really taste the sauces other than that everything was good! This was my first time trying poki or raw fish, so it was kind of intimidating at first. But te staff at this place were friendly and gave good suggestions. I've never ordered raw fish in this style for my life, and they made my experience 10x easier. The food was great and everything seemed fresh. Not sure how this place has 4 stars. They are really stingy on their scoops and limit you on how many toppings you can have. We were limited to 4 toppings only when other places don't mind adding everything (radish, onion, crab, etc) so we came home and added our own onions, radish, garlic, furikake and spicy Mayo. The saving grace is their sesame oil/chili sauce that was absolutely heavenly. I won't be going back and value for your $$$ can be better found elsewhere read more

Made us aware of the promotions which I couldn't pass up and allowed us to taste the aguas (yummy btw) so we can see what we think ! We love coming here! This is a long overdue review but incredibly well deserved. This poke place is probably the only one we go to because the employees here (especially the manager) are always so welcoming and nice, this truly adds to the experience. AND their portions are very reasonable. My husband and I always get 3 scoops each of the pre-seasoned salmons and tuna with rice and salad and every time, the fish has been fresh and tasty. My husband is also obsessed with their drinks and the last time the manager suggested to mix the 3 flavors - delicious!! I know it's just a poke restaurant but we really couldn't ask for more. I usually eat poke bowl once a week, so I have tried a lot of poke bowl spots in the 626 and 909 areas. AhiPoki sits on the very top of my poke craving list, and it is truly a great poke restaurant if you are in the neighbor and in the mood for some Omega-3 intake. Poke bowl - they offer more than just the usual selections of fish meat (albacore, yellow tail, tuna and salmon). In particularly, I like their tuna cubes with chunks of avocado. You can always ask for a small sample to try, so I tried the spicy mayo salmon. Although the server said it was pretty mild, but it was spicy because those small salmon cubes were marinated in the spicy mayo for at least an hour or so... so how could it not be spicy? Aside from the fresh fish selection, they have fresh mango and cilantro as sides, and those are not your typical selections for poke bowl. So I really liked the fresh mango added to my fish which reminds me a taste of a tropical island. Customer service - the servers were really nice and when I asked if they offer any rewards program, the server told me they offer rewards through this app - THANX. So keep your receipts and upload a picture of your receipt once you get the app to gain points and rewards. Parking - AhiPoki has a huge parking lot in the back, so don't need to worry about finding a parking spot. P.S. IKEA is literally cross the street from AhiPoki, so we have been going to AhiPoki for dinner, then walk it off at IKEA. read more

Plenty of parking in this whole gigantic interconnected plaza. $12.55 - large 3 scoops $10.55 - regular 2 scoops +$2 - extra scoop +$1 - add avocado Server accidentally gave me 2 scoops when I asked for 3 (large bowl). I reminded her and she seemed a bit confused but did give me 3 scoops. I got half and half and found the greens/salad really weirdly bitter and the sauce wasn't fully mixed. A lot of the sauce ended up pooling at the bottom of the plastic container, so it was weird. What a difference the pandemic can make in price adjustments! The price hike went up $1 from last year. Quite understandable as inflation during these times are necessary to keep businesses open. I usually order my regular 2 scoop seafood mix with white rice and salad. Here are the steps: 1. Choose your base - White Rice, Brown Rice, Salad, Kelp Noodles, or choose half and half. 2. Choose your - (Seasoned Seafood: Tuna Luau, Blazing Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and Kimchi Shrimp) (Unseasoned Seafood: Tuna, Salmon, Albacore, Yellowtail, Shrimp, Octopus, Unagi, and Spam) 3. Choose your sauce - House, House Spicy, Spicy Creamy, Sweet Citrus, Kimchi, Garlic Soy Mirin, and Wasabi Citrus. 4. [Final Step] Choose toppings - Onion, Green Onions, Cucumber, Edamame, Masago, Ginger, Wasabi, Mango/Pineapple (Depending on season), Seaweed Salad, Crab Meat, Daikon Sprout, Avocado (Add $1), Sesame Seeds, Furikake, Eel Sauce, Crispy Onion, and Chili Flakes. The regular bowl is 2 scoops and large is 3 scoops of seafood. I like to 2 scoops, 1 kimchi shrimp and 1 blazing salmon. The reason why I had to deduct 1 star is due to the salmon I got last night. It was chewy textured and I couldn't get myself to swallow it. The poke bowl overall was pretty good, the quality of food was good as well. But for some odd reason, I just don't see this place as my go-to. I will say that the EEL MASUBI was soo damn GOOOOD, I'll drive 15 miles to get some. I recommend getting that here!! Miso soup was okay. The taller gentleman who helped me today was rude and had a poor attitude. He asked me how many scoops I wanted, and I originally said 2 because I didn't know he meant the proteins, I thought he was asking about the rice. Then once he said which 2 scoops I wanted I said oh I'm sorry I didn't know you meant the proteins I would like 3 scoops. He then rolled his eyes, took my bowl of rice and slammed it into a larger bowl. Then when I asked for shrimp he gave me 5 little shrimp, and continued to give me small portions of everything I asked for. He didn't give me big enough portions of anything to even fill the bowl. So what was the point of getting a bigger bowl if he wasn't even going to fill it all the way with food? I doubt I will return because his attitude wasn't acceptable, and the portion size isn't worth the price. read more

I'm a hard fan of the poke place back at my home but I'm glad I tried this place out with my friends. They have a great variety of everything here from the unagi to the kelp noodles. Everything was so fresh and portions are HUGE. I love love love how they offer kelp noodles at no extra cost because this is a really good alternative to rice and it pairs even better with the fish. The fish portions are generous and really fresh. They even have kimchi here. Too many options to list but overall this place is one of the top poke places in the area in my opinion. Customer service was quick and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. They even have chicken tenders as an option of cooked meats for those who can't eat raw or seafood and they have musubi!! read more

Clearly someone just dumped some fresh on top of old slimy lettuce so you didn't notice that what you were picking was past it's expiration. I would say the service is the only good thing about this location. The server was really good at explaining the options available for plates (amount of scoops, rice, salad or noodle options). I picked the spicy tuna, luau salmon, and their seasoned/prepared imitation crab salad with half white rice/half salad. And all toppings. It was definitely a very large portion of food. However, the fish did not taste as fresh as I have had at other locations. I felt sick to my stomach about an hour or two after consuming. I love sushi and consume it often, so this doesn't usually happen. I dined in. There was average foot traffic in the restaurant, but not a very popular place from the looks of it. First time coming here, or to any poki spot. I just say I was very please. There's markers all Over the floors on where to walk and in which directions. The girl in front immediately assisted me. She gave me the breakdown step by step since it was my first time and I didn't know. She gave suggestions which were helpful and I was happy with my choices. I just paid $12 for this sad chicken teriyaki bowl. The photo advertising the bowl showed large pieces of white meat. I got this cheap quality meat with a ton of fat and this is definitely not teriyaki flavor. I called the restaurant when I got my order home but they didn't answer so I'll just vent my annoyances here. False advertising! Sell what you show in your picture. read more

So happy there will be another AhiPoki near me when I move to Covina in a few weeks! I currently use the one in Hollywood on Sunset. This one is much bigger and of course, free parking. Also, download the Thanx app and get 50% off you first double scoop bowl ... comes out to under $5.50 after taxes - great deal! I still think this is one of the best poke chains in the LA area. All the toppings except avocado are FREE and UNLIMITED. They're generous with their portions and if you ask for a little more of any topping, they are happy to oblige. The employees at this location were very sweet and efficient. I can't wait to come back! read more

Service: Service was extremely slow. It took forever for someone to come over and take our food order, and then we waited even longer for the food to actually arrive. Ambience: The atmosphere also felt off. The music was mostly pop and rock, which didn't really match the banda/norteño atmosphere you'd expect from a place like this. When you walk in, it also feels like everyone turns around and stares at you, which made it a little uncomfortable. The biggest issue was that in the middle of our meal, we were asked to move tables because a larger family was coming in. That was really inappropriate. Once customers are seated and already eating, they shouldn't be inconvenienced to accommodate another party. Between the bland food, slow service, uncomfortable atmosphere, and being moved during our meal, the overall experience just wasn't good. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back based on this visit.

I came in tonight around 20 mins before closing and I was looking forward to tuna luau but unfortunately they were out... Carissa helped me out tonight and before I ordered my bowl she had made me aware that they were very limited on their fish for the rest of the night due to a busier evening and she also explained to me they were no longer preparing fish... I understood but I wasn't interested in the few fish that they were serving. But right when I was going to leave she called me back in and said "everyone keeps leaving me because of our fish options, please come back" I thought that was sweet of her.. so of course I came back and she seared my shrimp for me and made me luau with the little bit of tuna they had left (just without the avocado)... thank you for calling me back in!! I would of regretted it if you didn't... outstanding service to her tonight for doing her best to making sure I was happy. I will definitely be back for her to serve me! AkiPoke is located in a bustling plaza near Ikea in West Covina, offering a modern and friendly atmosphere. Their poke bowls come with the option of 2 or 3 scoops, with 3 scoops priced at $16.50. One of the cool perks is that you can add extra scoops for $2.50 each, which is what I did--I went for 4 scoops. I ordered a half-salad, half-rice base, and the rice was fresh and fragrant. I chose 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 2 scoops of spicy salmon, and both were delicious. Their sauces, like the spicy house and garlic sauce, are lighter than cream-based sauces, but still pack a lot of flavor. The toppings were standard for poke places, but everything was very fresh. Lol to the person who claimed that the workers there are racist for protecting themselves during a pandemic is delusional. This locations employees are extremely kind and great people, I would know because I'm a regular here. The food is amazing and the main reason why I choose this location over others is mainly because of how warm the welcome is when I arrive because they know me well. I've seen them give the same attitude to other regulars as well. As long as you're kind, they're kind. Definitely one of the better poke locations, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Workers were rude and in a rush. When I asked what was in their sauces no one knew. The young girl made a rude face when I asked what was in their sauces. The rest of the workers seemed like they couldn't understand what I was asking. They rushed me along like my questions were unreasonable but again they had no idea what was in the sauce. This was the first (and likely last) time visiting Ahipoki. Highly disappointed in the very loosely advertised term "fresh" ahi. It's not fresh at all. It's previously frozen. The portions are small. For $17, I expect a lot more protein especially since it's cheaper grade previously frozen ahi. The rice is just plain white rice, not sushi rice. Do not expect anything close to the poke bowls from Hawaii. read more

One of my favorite go to Poki restaurants. The spring mix was crisp, no browning, edamame was superb & carriers are always sweet. Salmon was large and chunky, crab was very finely shredded! They offer an amazing variety of custom options, so even as a skeptic, I was able to build something I genuinely enjoyed. The ingredients are top-tier and everything tastes amazing. The sauces are great and the fish is fresh. Enjoy a huge selection of fishes and veggies. Add your toppings, avocado etc! They also make veggie juices and boba tea drinks.. some soda cans and other beverages and snacks. Friendly and smiling staff. You can tell they love their craft. My bowl is all greens, 2-salmon scoops with tofu, no masago or jalapeños, everything else ok and add avocado! I had them mix it all up including the greens and it was perfect!

I was caught by surprise of such a good poke place is hiding in the central of Irwindale. We came here looking for sushi but decided to get poke instead. Their meat is fresh and good portion with really reasonable price. This is our go-to poke when we're in the area again!
