I was looking for a good and well rated AC contractor within my home town and came across Air Perfection with some really good reviews. So I decided to inquire and go with them. Overall, great staff and service! Tai (Manager) was a huge help from the very beginning. He was able to provide me with multiple quotes & possible design layouts for different split systems to look at my options and work within my budget. Not only that, he was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of info about AC systems, warranties and suggestions on installation. The workers were fast with installation as well and was able to work within my schedule. In the end, I decided to go with a Fujitsu tri-zone system for my townhome so that I'm able to have multiple indoor units but stick with 1 outdoor condenser as my association has restrictive guidelines for split AC systems. My review from 2 July 2020 (5 stars) popped up as I began to write this one so I will begin by saying that Air Perfection continues to perform in an excellent manner. Since 2020, I have contacted Ronin at least twice about AC issues and he has always been responsive and helpful. After discussions with him last year, we decided that it was time to scrap the 20-year-old system which we kept patching together and put in a new one. Ronin responded quickly, discussed options with us, gave us a quote (below what we had planned on paying), quickly ordered the materials, and set a date. The new AC was put in last week. We contracted with Air Perfection to purchase and install a new central AC system for our home. Yes, it was expensive, but in line with other quotes. We selected Air Perfection based on many positive reviews on Yelp. Yes, there were also unfavorable reviews (always are), but what sold us was the professionalism & easy-to-work-with manner of Tai, the manager and Scott, their field technician. Unfortunately, there were issues from our old AC, and we had to call Tai after the new installation for help. He responded immediately, even sending a crew to correct the problem today - 4th of July holiday. We are writing this to share our experience. Service was quick, they did come earlier than expected, but they worked thoroughly and kept their station clean, and was also knowledgeable and provided suggestions when asked. BEWARE, Very unprofessional. Once they have your money, they will not return calls or emails. We paid for an a/c inspection which included a written report and photos which have never been received. We found Air Perfection (AP) to provide exceptional service at a reasonable price. AP installed 4 new Daikin split A/C's (9k, 2 x 12k, & 24k BTU units - 57,000 BTU total) for us in April 2023. Air Perfection offers a 12 year warranty on Daikin equipment INCLUDING PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS (PCB's)! PCB's are VERY expensive (think $1,000 PLUS) and geckos / lizards love to hang out on the warm PCBs, often frying themselves and the PCB in the process. Air Perfection's 12 year warranty on Daikin extends to the PCBs and to gecko damage! We talked with several other AC suppliers and did not hear that from anyone else. About a month after our A/Cs were installed and AP was paid, 2 of our A/C's quit working. The failure was tricky to troubleshoot, but AP sorted it out over the course of 3 visits. They did not drag their feet, they did not give us the run-around, they made appointments, gathered up the repair parts, sent out trained Techs and Electricians, and figured it out. Surprise - it turned out to be a small component on - you guessed it - the PCB of a multizone condenser (outside unit). Also, we found AP to be very reliable. If they made an appointment for 8:00 AM, they showed up at 8:00 AM - consistently. Rostin, Scott, Matt, Tai, Keani, and the rest of the AP crew responded promptly to our questions and concerns before and AFTER the sale. In our experience, you are unlikely to find a better AC provider. BTW, we looked at Daikin, Fujitsu, and Mitsubishi. Air Perfection is my go to company when it comes to our Mitsubishi split AC's. One of our units was blowing warm air again and we had another unit not cooling as well as it did before. Sent an email and received a response in a few hours. I lucked out and was able to get an appointment the next day (someone cancelled last minute...lucky me!). The same technician came out and was very familiar with our split ACs. He was early, quick, courteous and very professional. I think his name is Mark. I know that's terrible I can't remember his name. Especially since I asked him. But he was incredibly patient with me and my million questions about the split ACs (is it normal to have a leak, how long do the units last, etc.). Long story short, so glad we went with Air Perfection, and will use them again and forever. We had dust coming from one of our blowers, even after we cleaned the filters. There were also ants coming in and out of it. We were prepared to pay, always worried about the upset. Crazy thing was, they kept downseling. The tech showed us why the ants were getting in, and would seal it off, and he kept reassuring us that the regular clean would suffice. However, since they were here, I insisted on the deep clean. They also patched the outlet hole for the other two blowers in the house .... for free. All in all I paid hundreds less than I expected. And the people in the office were super friendly, easy to deal with, and always returned calls in a timely manner. Cheaper when you pay cash, but they had all the payment options you would need. They also need to work on professionalism. A estimate was done and there was a male and a female. The way the girl was dressed definitely not a worker. If people are bringing others to jobs. . . . not professional. My friend also got a estimate from them and said their was a female and a girl YIKES I was skimming through other reviews and it seems like overcharging is definitely known when us consumers are receiving quotes. A few months ago the air conditioner at my office broke down. Unfortunately it was the beginning of summer which is not the best time to be installing air conditioning! I called every company I could find to get someone to come out and give me a quote. In my business I needed to obtain 3 bids to begin the process. Most did not return my phone calls and those who did come out did not submit a bid or took months to finally send me something. Ugh! Roston came out and we discussed with him to install split system in four bedrooms. He told us he would send us a quote via e mail. One week passed by and we didn't hear from him so I texted him, called twice and left message. Two weeks later I still haven't heard from him. Very disappointed with them. There are many different AC companies and we have used a lot of them for our condo. But when we built our new home and we did our diligence in researching all the different companies and got different estimates. In the end we decide to go with this company. Scott was so helpful, he assessed what we wanted and patiently explained the options and gave us an estimate in a timely manner. He is extremely knowledgeable of the different AC units and what size you will need for ur space. We appreciated how honest & responsive he was. I was able to make an appointment with Air Perfection at an already established and reasonable price point related to a clogged primary drain tube. They were late about a half hour from the original appointment time but called and gave me notice so I could notify work. They also gave a decent discount because of that. Over a year ago. We started looking in a new AC system. But we got really high numbers and was told to cut into our dry wall and all. We decided to hold back on it because it's out of our budget. My husband and I decided we're gonna pour concrete to cover our yard more. Talking to a friend/ neighbor of ours as we set that plan in motion was the best thing that happened that lead us here. He got a great deal and my husband thought it would be a great idea to do it too! We'll be able to remove the old system just in time to pour and get the new system more tucked to the side of our house AFTER our concrete. We got in touch with Tai. He was great! My husband loved the deal and he answered every difficult question I thought my husband was making up words. But funny he knew what he was talking about. I swear I thought he was speaking alien. Seers and BTUs is an alien language to ME. Poor Guy was in the hospital and you can hear the heart monitor go off. I told my husband stop hounding the guy before his heart stops! But Tai was super about getting all the details down and cleared. 1 day before I pour the concrete. I had Tai's team come in to demolish at 8am. They were there for an hour. Fast, efficient, and very professional (clean) and respectful! They didn't wear their shoes in my house. And they had a blanket to cover the work area so it's clean and tidy. I hate when people wear shoes into my house. HATE! I'm so glad they were REAL professionals. Sometimes you worry with the price you pay. There would be cons cuz of that pro. But this was nothing but pros to everything. After they demo and I poured concrete. We lived without AC for 4 days IN EWA! Good thing no one died. Lol. But day 5. Concrete is dried enough to work on. Scott and Joe came 30 minutes early (730am). That means they'll finish earlier than expected. How awesome is that! Again, very clean and very professional about everything. They didn't have lunch and insisted to finish the work first. Then leave and go eat. But it's a 6 to 7 hour job. If something goes longer than expected. I'd feel bad. Cuz I'm hungry every 4 hrs... when I barely do much work. So I went to get them some food and had a cooler of drinks for them throughout the day. I know they appreciated that very much. Because they didn't eat until they were done. But sure enough everything was done before their estimated time for us. So awesome. I love how so efficient they were. Everyone will have a different outcome. But I can tell you my overall experience is really amazing. I'm sure if I ever have future problems. Which I cross my fingers I wont ever have. That they'll be on top of it to help me. Cuz I feel like after answering all my husband's questions. They're reliable. Again I wanna give big thanks to Tai for the extra miles he's put out to help us. That's another story. But he really did. Loved that they arrived early and focused on completing the work. We had them install a new AC and service/clean our existing ACs. The existing ACs run like they are brand new. They did an excellent job. Our existing ACs are Mitsubishis and the new one is a Fujitsu. Even though the unit is smaller, it does have a higher BTU than the one replaced and runs more efficiently and quietly.
