I just want to give my 5-star review to Kua and the install crew of Alex, Zion, and helper (sorry, I didn't get his name). First off, Kua was great! Easy to talk to, replied to my request for an estimate promptly, and did my assessment very professionally. You can believe them when they say on their website "Guaranteed Lowest Price for The Same Product with Installation." I narrowed down my short-list of reputable AC contractors to four companies. Receiving estimates from each, The Aire Conditioning Shoppe was the last company I received an estimate from, and I'm glad I didn't exclude them. Hands down, The Aire Conditioning Shoppe gave the best price with installation. Pricewise It was an easy choice, and all gave the same 12-year warranty on the units and a 1-year warranty for labor (except for one company which gave 2-year warranty on labor). They also included a silicon protectant on the circuit boards to protect against shorting out by geckos which two of the companies didn't mention in their quotes and one company wanted to charge $350! So, all that was left to see is how well the installation crew performed, and they did a fantastic job! Alex, the installation team leader, called me in the morning of installation to let me know they were leaving the shop and about what time they would arrive. Once they arrived, Alex was courteous and professional. He clarified with me what units were supposed to go in what rooms and where the main condenser would be located, which was diAerent from where I had my previous unit. Zion was responsible for installing the bedroom air handlers/evaporators. He was easy to work with and made some suggestions that I didn't think of that would make my job easier to repair my drywall...Also appreciative to him because he was the one to have to drill through my thick concrete CMU wall which was a tough job. The install crew arrived about 8:40 am and after confirming the details, they immediately started breaking down and removing my old system. It took them about 5 1/2 hours to tear down my old system and install my new system. Very professional and clean installation. At the end, they went over the operation of the remote, explaining the diAerent modes and features. Also, at least for my job, they didn't require 1/2 downpayment like the other three companies I got bids from, and they also accepted credit card payment in full, with no extra credit card fee tacked on! I'm not sure how long that will last, but credit to the Aire Conditioning Shoppe for not passing that cost on to their customers. Finally, they have been around since 1979, a very long time. They have an A+ Better Business Bureau rating and are a Mitsubishi Diamond Elite Contractor. read more

We finally decided to replace our old split system and wall units. After a month of calling different shops, talking to reps and getting quotes we decided to contact the Aire Conditioner Shoppe. While they do not operate with cutting edge technology, they are certainly "old school" in a good sense. Most of my interaction with them was through phone calls and in person. Like many have said prior, Neil is a no non-sense type of guy and his people reflect that same attitude. Kua was our primary point of contact, and upon meeting him, I felt that these were the guys for the job. I appreciated that after an in person visit, they offered 3 different options that would suit our needs. They never tried to push for one option or the other, but simply explained the pros and cons of each option. Value wise, they had the best prices around for all 3 recommendations. We ended up going with a dual Fujitsu system and Friedrich wall units for our home. After scheduling an install date, they arrived promptly. We verified the plans and they did their thing. Their line set runs were clean and had nice straight lines. Unlike other installations in our neighborhood, I like the attention to detail they had installing the pipe covers. Do not buy from from them. They do shoddy work. They cleaned my Fujitsu fan wheel using a brush while it was running. Black mildew from fan wheel al over my living room. Took me 2 hours to clean up the mess. Shoddy install on my Mitsubishi tri zone A.C. drain piping didn't even connect to pvc pipe they used tape as part of the connection to pvc. This shoddy work was hidden under a plastic gutter on the siding. Owner Neil said one year labor warranty so 8 years later I remove gutter to paint house because of leak on wall and find out why. We used Aire Conditioner Shoppe 10 years ago to install an in the wall unit and remembered how great Monte and the crew were when we decided it was time to install a split AC system so gave them a call. Neil had Kua call us the next day and Kua was able to come out within a few days and we were really impressed. We were pretty clueless about it all so he went over everything with us and he is just so easy going. We were happy with the quote we received from them and even more happy that they could schedule the install within two weeks. Alex and his crew arrived and everyone got straight to work. They were clean, polite and efficient. They installed two condensers and three indoor units in about three hours! They even took care of the HECO rebates for us. We also had John come back on the weekend (he was part of the install crew and was recommended by Neil) to remove the in the wall unit and patch the big hole in the drywall. He did an amazing job as well! I did feel like I was bothering Neil sometimes when I would call, but I really think he cares about his customers..he's been in business for 39 years and his employees are top notch!
