Aaron is very friendly and very professional. Before I contacted Aaron, I hired another company called 911 Remediation for air duct cleaning. I thought they would be good since they got good review on google. But it was really disappointing. The first time they were almost 2 hr late and I have to reschedule. The technicians are not knowledgeable and not very friendly, and it is really expensive (compared to that, Aaron gave very reasonable quote). Then I am looking for gutter cleaning and find Aaron has really good review here. I made appointment with Aaron and it is such a nice experience! He came on time and explain things in detail, such as pigeon control, and let me make decision. The job was well done and he even glue some part of the roof. Afterward, he even help me check my furnace filter and gave me very helpful advices. Received a prompt and detailed response in text. Had a few exchanges, got a quote, and set up the appointment. Did a walk through with me prior to starting job to ensure location and number of vents. Cleaned everything as requested and replaced filters in the furnace (I purchased the filters). Polite, courteous, friendly, and did a thorough job. Aaron came out this morning (2/3/2011) to help clear out clogged dryer vent, which has never been cleaned ever since we moved into our house in El Cerrito 6 years ago. I had no idea that having not performing such service ever once in a while will cause loud and inefficient dryer performance (which are the symptoms we're having) and potentially dangerous situation where the lint may catch on fire. I called AJ Services two days before hand, and Aaron was able to slot us in really quicky. On the day of service, Aaron was very professional about meeting the appointment schedule at 10AM. He was a couple of minutes behind due to the morning highway 80 traffic, and promptly called me ahead to warn about his situation and apologize for the delay. Once arrived, he was very polite and made sure to keep the house clean as he brought the heavy equipments to the second floor where the dryer is located. Unlike a lot of the services crew that came to our houses before, Aaron actually wore shoes cover as he walked around. He made sure to answer any questions and concerns we had and quickly got to business to clean the vents. It was amazing how much lint and dust were trapped within the vent, from the point of the back of the dryer to the outlet (around 18 feet long)! Aaron made sure to vacuum up everything as he pulled out the debris from the vent. Afterward, he even helped us clean up the trapped lint within our dryer machine. There were amazing amount of stuff stuck there too! This service taught me a great lesson to perform such maintenance every once in a while to make sure we don't wreck our dryer early, since it has to work harder to dry the clothing with the clogged vent. In the end, Aaron also gave us some pointers to prevent the problems from happening too often from his 8 years of experience...Yes, once you meet him, you'll be surprised he already has that many years of professional experience. Overall, I was very impressed by the services, professional attitude, experience/knowledge, and maturity that Aaron brings to his AJ Services business. I highly recommend him, at least for clearing out clogged dryer vents, and will definitely use his service again. Next time, I will try out AJ Services for other fixes such as clogged roof drain, cleaning heater vents, etc. Two thumbs up for Aaron and his AJ Services business!!! I had Aaron (AJ Services) come to my house last week to clean our gutters and sweep leaves off the flat portion of our roof. Not only did Aaron respond to my initial inquiry promptly, he also provided a reasonable quote and answered all of my questions in a timely fashion. From the very first call I made through finishing the job he provided top notch service that I wish all business owners possessed. First, after my initial voicemail to him, he called back that same evening and left a detailed message explaining his services and what the fee would be. I appreciated that I did not have to play phone tag with him to learn more about his service and fees and that he did not need to come and inspect the property to give me an accurate estimate of costs. Second, I was able to get an appointment with him within a couple of days of my call in to him...and he actually showed up early for that appointment and ended up having to wait for me to show up a few minutes later. The previous company that came out for the Groupon only removed one duct and claimed to be cleaning through negative pressure. Apparently, they go above and beyond what is required of them - Aaron even took a razor blade to clean out the louvers on the heater vents after a sloppy paint job that was recently done.
