We bought a new home, and it had multiple swallow nests, which were damaging the wood and stucco including bird droppings everywhere. After a few estimates, we contracted Aaron after finding him on Craigslist and based on positive Yelp reviews. When the work was completed, we were very pleased with the results. He had the best solution using fine-mesh galvanized netting compared to other contractors with lexan sheets and fabric netting. In the absence of knowledge in bird control, we had to really rely on the contractors' expertise, and if we did not find Aaron, we would have had to rely on other inferior work/solutions. We felt fortunate with Aaron. Aaron is a young man with his own business. I was impressed with his level of professionalism and honesty. I found his maturity beyond his years, and the high quality work he produced was an example of that. Furthermore, Aaron was very courteous and punctual. Just like what reviewer "KURT L" I don't normally provide reviews but with "an extra mile" Aaron did for me, it was just proper to return the favor. Knowing that we're not in town to inspect his work, he was honest to advise that we don't need gutter work right now and wait until fall. He even cleaned a spout for free. I am so impressed with AJ Services. I bought my house about a year ago, and with fall approaching, decided to have my gutters cleaned. The appointment was easy to arrange. Aaron called me about 15 minutes before arriving, to confirm that we were still meeting that morning. He arrived at the scheduled time, and explained to me what cleaning the gutters entailed and how long he expected to be working. He reviewed the estimate, and let me know that if found something that needed to be taken care of that he would discuss this with me so that I could decide whether to proceed with any additional work. And then, without further ado, he got straight to work. He was so straightforward. He let me know that there was minimal debris in my gutters, despite the house being situated near some trees, and that he felt that the gutters would need to be cleaned once a year, at the most. He commented on the amount of sand in the debris from the composite shingles, and confirmed that the shingles were still in relatively good shape. He noted that some of the drains were clogged with pine needles (which apparently take a long time to deteriorate) and some larger leaves and recommended placing downspout mesh guards over them for an extremely reasonable price. He was professional and engaging and clear in his explanations. And he wore appropriate personal protective equipment (including a large hat), which is a huge plus. Professional from 1st phone call to job done. Texted Aaron the property address for a quote and he replied back with specific work to be performed and any possible unforeseen charges. Appt was set for 2 days after and Aaron and his partner arrived10 minutes late but with a text prior stating that they were in traffic and they are on their way...we do live in the Bay Area, I was totally ok with the delay as long as I was updated with their arrival time. Upon arrival, Aaron explained all the work to be done and got to it right away. They cleaned up beyond my expectation and air blown clean my back yard as well. Very professional, honest, knowledgeable and came about on time (was courteous to call letting us know he was running a few minutes late). We had the air ducts (11 of them) and the dryer vent cleaned by Aaron and took him about 3 hours. What we liked about him is that he is honest and not like other yelpers mentioned that some other services took less than half hour. It makes sense that cleaning each each vent takes a certain amount of time, so when you do the math, it makes sense. The 21 year old house had never had the air ducts cleaned. Aaron deserves more than 5 stars for his service above and beyond. He came in last week to clean our gutter and we asked him to come back today for more work to be done to ensure the integrity of our roof, to install eaves in front for Pigeons and bird control deterrent which includes installing nets and spikes preventing the birds from getting into the gutter and into the eaves of the roofline. He also did a great job in cleaning the washing machine dryer duct and also for cleaning the bathroom fans. He is very professional and trustworthy and he even gave me a discount for cleaning the bathroom fans and did a roof patch for the roof with cracks at no charge. Aaron & his team were prompt in answering all my questions, & kept me informed on progress every step of the way. They did a wonderful job of cleaning all 13 air ducts (11 intakes/ 2 outlets) by actually opening, cleaning and brushing all the vents with their 45 ft long rotorbrush. They also cleaned my dryer vent thoroughly using a flexible brush rotor and vacuum adapter to pull all the lint. While at it, they secured the connection to my dryer which was loose from the original install. They also cleaned the central furnace along with the fan motor and housing to ensure there is no dust blowback in our newly cleaned vents. We scheduled a gutter cleaning after the 4 birch trees near the house got removed. Our neighbor recommended AJ Services and they had glorious 5-star reviews on Yelp. They were not the cheapest, but Indeed, Aaron did an excellent job cleaning out our rain gutters and took pictures for us. He charged exactly what he quoted us, $250 to clean all the gutters and downspouts for my 2-story home and put in the mesh guards we brought. Because we have birch trees around the front of the house, he needed to charge $75 to sweep off the roof first. He also gave us a multi-service 25% discount, $97.50 to clean our dryer vent. It has never been cleaned before, so I guess it should get cleaned. Total bill was $422.50. It was an expensive bill, but at least we got it done before the rain comes. Aaron pointed out that there were a few broken tiles up on the roof also. As other reviewers had said, he is professional, wore proper safety gears, courteous, and does a good job! He writes well and responds to text messages very quickly. He is an A+ in my books and deserves all the 5-star reviews here. Today Aaron and Jackie came out to do my duct cleaning. It's been at least 10 years, so I knew I needed it done. I've used AJ Services for gutter cleaning/guard installation and dryer vent cleaning in the past. They did excellent work and this time was no different. The quote was clear and detailed, scheduling was easy, and day of, Aaron let me know they were available a little early for the appointment if I was. The process used (which was explained in detail in the quote) does a really thorough job of getting all the dust and particles hanging around in the ducts and my furnace. I had a couple of vents that were hard to reach (over one armoire and under another), but they managed fine. The job was completed in about 2.5 hours, just as Aaron had estimated.
