Great food and service, but be prepared for a long wait. We were seated after an hour on the waitlist. The soups (tomato and spicy pork) were delicious and served quickly, however our hotpot food items took nearly 45 minutes to be served. We were so hungry and drank a lot of soup while waiting for our food. LOL The waiter told us their kitchen was too busy, he was sorry for the long wait and offer us dessert. We also had to remind them on a missing fish fillet. The staff apologized again and offered a $5 discount. At the end of the meal, we checked the bill and found out the $5 discount was not there and they charged us for open sauce fee which we didn't order, and there was another 15 minutes wait to get our bill corrected. Total dining time was 2.5 hours + 1 hour waitlist time, record breaking for us. Never had hotpot meal taking this long.

Haidilao usually is known for good service, but the wait and eating experience was horrible Saturday dinner at this Fremont branch. Waited an hour to get seated, another hour for mushrooms to come out, then meat, another hour for fish, after endless waiting we left at 10pm. They were understaffed and service took a while. The sauce bar was underwhelming, the fruits/snacks were not too exciting. We got complimentary brown sugar mochi for the wait (which we also had to wait longer for), they were warm and delicious.

Hot Pot is always fun! And this is a lively ambiance and the service is really good. Warning: The Spicy broth has a LOT of chili oil floating on top. Make sure to stir it before serving as a member of my party took a big sip of the oil at first and it made her throat close up. The food is good yet the portions are small and the prices are very high. The bill was $200 for 4 people and we were all still bit hungry after.

I love going to Haidilao when I'm craving hot pot. It's always an experience since the ambiance here doesn't compare to other hot pot spots. I love getting their mushroom and tomato base and honestly all of their choices are delicious and tasteful. The host and servers we had were very attentive and checked in on us often.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. First time trying it. It's a good experience but very expensive. $180 for 3 ppl. It's good for special occasions.

Came here with my partner for a late dinner. I'm talking "an hour before they close" type of dinner at 1am. The service was still great, they still delivers and makes us our food and drinks perfectly. I did get some disgruntled looks from employees as they clean the sauces at the end but that's alright, very understandable haha. Food is great, meat is fresh and delicious. I got fermented rice and lychee drink and not sure if i would order again, took me by surprise and i didn't like the fermented rice part. And also something about this location is that they never give you the free stuff if you say the phrase to them...maybe i'll try again for the 3rd time next time ;(

The Bian-Lian performance - amazing show

Pricey, and I would have given it just 4 stars if it's for the food alone and not for the Bian-Lian performance. We heard about their Bian-Lian (face-change) performance and called ahead to book a table for a time that it'll be performed (7:30-8pm). It did not disappoint. What an honor to be able to witness this amazing art, a secret tradition passed down for generations! The artist was smooth and entertaining, and even gave my parents in law a beautiful souvenir, which they appreciated very much! The food itself is wonderfully presented, and everything is fresh. The "salad bar" is very good and will fill you up by itself, with seaweed salads and pickled mushrooms and all the condiments you could think of (hello, chive pesto!) We ordered the four soup special, which was a pot quartered into four sections, each with its own flavor soup that you can select. I picked a spicy soup which I soon regretted as it made the food too spicy to even taste the dipping sauce that I worked so hard to create

WOW! This place is really cool. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The service is top-notch. It's a very family friendly place. The tomato and chicken broths were good. I can't wait to go back!

We came for the lunch special . For two people We get to choose two meats out of 5 . We got Australia lamb shoulder , angus beef short plate ( fatty beef ) . Each person has a tray of vegetables, 2 beef balls , fish tofu and tofu square , white mushrooms, tofu noodles , 2 slices of spams , imitation crabs. Soup base is free with this $19.99 lunch special . We got chicken & pork belly in black pepper soup and pork bone broth . If you go for the all you can eat meal . You need to Pay $13- $18 per person for the soup broth . But you can reorder more protein from 5 choices including seafood . The salad , dessert, snack , fruit and sauces station is $3.99 extra per person for the $19.99 lunch special . I enjoy their fruits like red rambutan . It is sweet and juicy . The spicy mushrooms salad and cold fish skin salad are very tasty and not seen in other hot pot restaurants. Excellent service . Their restroom has hand lotion after you wash your hands . Mouth wash on the wall , Q tip to fix your eye make up, and special cleanser inside each stall for toilet seat and toilet seat cover . You can get free paper containers to bring the remaining soup broth home . At the end the soup becomes very rich in flavor and tasty . They offer us some carbs ( rice or noodle ) and we both got one can of diet coke . We will return soon to try their all you can eat special.

The service and food were excellent at Haidilao! This was my first time here with a group of 5 people, so we made a reservation online 5-7 days prior for a birthday celebration. We ordered 4 soup broths and combination of meats & vegetable mixes. The price is definitely worth it in my opinion because of the experience and quality food. We also got the hand-pulled noodles, where they asked us to request a song and included an entertaining dance. Everyone here is welcoming. They also have free soft serve, snacks, and fruits. Our server, Irene, was extremely nice and accommodating to our orders and requests. We had some rain leaking to our table from the outside, but the staff made sure we stayed dry and were comfortable. Irene also offered to take a picture for us and sing happy birthday, which was really sweet. She went above and beyond. Thank you!

Love how this place is bright, clean, and spacious! A great place for a group, family, and friends. We ordered two different broths, mushroom and tomato! Both super flavorful. At hot pot places like these it's easy to lose sight of what you order since it's so fun to select from the list! Loved the ribeye and deep fried buns with condensed milk. We also ordered veggies, noodles, and everything!! Ok remember to go towards the back to the sauce station and gather all your sauces or cilantro, onions, and more! Then when you're ready you can head to the dessert station towards the front side. There is ice cream and jellies!! So fun with a group! Service was also on point here!

The salad itself is quite refreshing. If you like lime zest, you will love this salad. Pad Woon Sen: 4/5 The softness of the glass noodles and crunchy vegetables gave the dish great texture. For protein choice, I would recommend not going with the crunchy pork if you don't like chewing on harder fried chunks. The flavor is good but a little hard to bite through. Sausage Appetizer: 5/5 The sausage is juicy and has the sourness that fermented thai sausages usually have. I love that they provided ginger, nuts, thai chilis, and cabbage to pair with sausage. It really gave it that authentic touch. I recommend coming after 2pm on the weekend as that was when we went and there was no line.

Zero points for: And because I couldn't figure out the reservation/confirmation of a table, or if there is a long line with an even longer wait ...I got there early so that I could get a corner table and wait for my friend (who is handicapped) to get there!! My name got called and they said "oh let's wait till all your party comes and then we'll get you seated." I explained to them that I need the table 1st so that my friend doesn't have to go through waiting standing, then getting usher to a table, considering the handicap. They were stuck in their thought process and did not give us a table. My friend had difficulty parking and getting in - so of course we had to wait to get a table. This is not at all considerate of them when we explicitly said we have a member with a handicap. They were rigid. What I noticed is that the corner table I asked for was given to a lady, even though her companion came in much later! The indoor seating is very cramped. I wonder how many people are truly allowed! I can grab anything from the next table if I wanted to - that's how terrible the seating is. 1 point for : The food is OK. Everything tastes the same. It's a bit too salty. This place is not worth a second chance! Especially for their attitude towards the disabled and handicapped!

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

I came here on a Friday evening with my friend to grab dinner around 6:00 PM. The wait was around an hour, so be very prepared if you're coming during the dinner rush. This spot is located where the majority of the Asian restaurants are in Milpitas, so it's safe to say the parking can get a bit hectic and intense. The interior of the place is very bright, modern, and clean. There is a lot of seating for a small space, but the reason they are so busy has a lot to do with the number of people wanting to check this spot out. When you sit down, you scan their virtual menu via QR code and order there instead of through a server. You have the choice to order on one phone as a group or separately. Between my friend and me, we ordered a beef mint salad, fried tofu, confit mushrooms, and truffle mushroom rice. I will say that when we first got the fried tofu and confit mushrooms, we were quite surprised by the small portions compared to the price. That said, they were delicious, but skippable if you're trying to find the best bang for your buck. What I absolutely would recommend is their truffle mushroom fried rice. This might have been my best bite this month. It was so savory, the mushrooms hit perfectly, and the coating of butter on the rice was supreme. It was $28 for a bowl, but it was a good value to split between two people. Overall, this place had great, fast service (our food came out in under 10 minutes), a nice ambiance, and fresh, flavorful food.

The roti prata was definitely one of my favorites and perfect for dipping into the curry. The curry itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without being overly heavy. The noodles were also satisfying with a nice balance of savory flavors and good texture. For dessert, I tried the pandan panna cotta. The presentation was nice, but personally it wasn't my favorite compared to the savory dishes. The pandan flavor was lighter than I expected, though it was still creamy and refreshing. Service was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The vibe is casual and lively, making it a great spot for sharing multiple dishes with friends or family. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with standout savory items I'd come back for the roti prata and curry again.
