This was supposed to showcase just how delectable their grilled cheese is, but I made it look unappetizing. I swear it's the best!

Quality lil diner! We like coming here on our lunch break since the service is always quick and super friendly, and the food is reliably good. The family who owns Alea is so sweet. We usually sit outside on their spacious patio, and they bring the food out to us. I have to specifically shout-out their grilled cheese, which is just, like... the perfect diner grilled cheese. It's got THE MOST buttery bread I've ever had, which isn't everyone's cup of tea (the whole sandwich is literally moist with butter) and it can be a little rich, but that's diner food! It really hits the spot. They also have great fries here, give you plenty of sauces on the side for no extra charge, and also have that exact perfect balance of water to soda in their soda dispenser, so their Dr Pepper is some of the best I've ever had. It's typical diner food--yes, they've raised prices in accordance with inflation, which is unavoidable, but it's a great casual spot to come for lunch or dinner.

Chicken Caesar salad. Looks soggy and the dressing was a lot runnier. Chicken Caesar Salad

I have been ordering Chicken Caesar salad, for almost two years, from Alea's cafe. But the last two orders have been a complete disappointment. I'm not sure what changed, but the dressing has been a lot more runny and the mayonnaise taste over powers the whole meal. The greens taste like it's been sitting on water the whole time and the quantity was much more. This is definitely not the original recipe. $14.00 salad no longer worth it.

I love this place! I've been coming here for years. Catherine and Nicko always take care of me and the kids whenever I come in. If you have not been here, you should definitely stop by and try out this Jem!!

I just love this place. I mainly go on Sundays. I go after church. At first I went there because it was near by. Didn't have to drive far and then get in line. So I mainly eat breakfast here. I have my favorites. But mainly the big breakfast. With a freshly squeezed OJ. Yes that's a bit more But it's worth it. The Big Breakfast consist of 2 eggs cooked the way you like it. I get them over easy. Yes I like to pop the yoke. Sausage or Bacon. Or half and half. Choice of hash browns or country potatoes. I get hash browns. And they always cook them percent. Not burnt or still raw. That doesn't happen here. Then you have a choice bread. Toast white or wheat, Rye, sourdough and English Muffin. Off course I get the English Muffin. It comes buttered. And they always bring you some jam. But it's not done yet. You get 3 nice size pancakes. Yes. It will fill you up. Now I have had the pastrami burger. It was ok for me. I did prefer their pastrami melt. They have a sandwich but it comes with no cheese. They grill their pastrami here. Not boil it like at the Hat. Taste much better. They serve menudo on the weekends. I SE people order that a lot. It looks like people order different things. I'm always seeing different things. Waffles , burgers , sandwiches, burritos. Country fried steak. The menu is big. And diverse. But I mainly come for breakfast. They have 14-16 tables inside. They are all booths. And sit 4 comfortably. They also have tables outside. So whatever fancies you. This place is kept clean. The servers are always cleaning up. And some nice you order first. Gives you an opportunity to choose your table. In case you want to face the television. Or not. Your choice. The parking situation is good. Just don't park on the other side of the fence. They have plenty parking.

    Over priced

$22 for a double bacon cheeseburger combo. That's about $5 more than most. Burger was good (bun was the most impressive part) fries and seasoning salt were also good but the ranch was pretty weak.

My husband had the breakfast burrito and said it was amazing. He liked it so much he even went home with a 24 oz container of their house-made red salsa, which was incredible. The customer service was outstanding. Art was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely engaged with us while we were there. You can tell they really care about their customers and the food they serve. I paid $17.54 for a biscuit with egg, cheese, turkey sausage, and a black iced coffee. The biscuit was decent, but fairly small, and nothing about the sandwich felt premium enough to justify the price. The turkey sausage tasted like a standard pre-made sausage, and if there was a significant upcharge for choosing turkey, it didn't feel warranted. The coffee was fine. It was a basic black iced coffee, good enough, but not something that stood out or justified a premium price. My biggest issue is the value. Nearly $18 for a simple breakfast sandwich and a plain black iced coffee feels excessive for what was served. I've also noticed that the total seems to vary from visit to visit, making it difficult to know what to expect when ordering. I genuinely like the people who work here and wish them success. This review isn't about the staff. For me, it's simply a matter of price versus value, and I can no longer justify spending this much for a basic breakfast and coffee. We ordered was the Benedict scramble (Sliced ham and scrambled eggs on a toasted English muffin topped with creamy hollandaise. Served with your choice Country Reds or Fresh Fruit.) and Tom's scramble (A scratch-made buttermilk biscuit topped with your choice of a sausage patty OR a chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, and Huck's country gravy. Served with Country Reds or fresh fruit). Lemme tell you that ham on the Benedict scramble was thick as heck and the eggs were soft, fluffy, and moist! I would be satisfied with just the eggs, hollandaise sauce and the biscuit! The Tom's scramble was good too. The chicken was not chewy nor hard. It was good. Jorge was our server and was very attentive. Kept coming to check if everything was good or if we need anything else. As for the ambiance, it can get loud, but we were seated in the room next to the Night Market store so it was more quiet. The main room and the room with most booths can get noisy. But throughout our meal we kept hearing a noise. I thought it had to do with the boat and ocean painting on the wall. Come to find out it was the alligator that was in the main room. Every so often it would make a noise. There's also outside seating. Would I come back here? Maybe.. but most of the items are fried food.

I ordered stuffed French toast which was extremely over priced for what I got. Literally two sourdough toasts with cream in between and added strawberry on top. The cream was good, the strawberries and sauce was good, the bread/"toast" just kinda weird and barely warm. I didn't realize it came with nothing else (no eggs, etc). For $17.59 it should have included one side at least. Husband ordered egg, potatoes & sausage with a "fresh" country biscuit, which definitely was microwaved. Potatoes & sausage cold. The only thing served hot were the eggs. Our server brought food out almost immediately which should have been a sign that everything was already sitting in the kitchen probably pre-made. Flavor was there and this could have been great if the food was fresh and hot. I will say we were happy to see them serve the soda in large Mason jars and water was frequently refilled. I hope they can improve on this. I'd hate to see another restaurant close at Garden Walk.
