Was on the prowl for some new breakfast burritos in the area and this spot came up close to the house. It had high ratings and the pics looked good. I was sold. This burger joint is not much on the outside, but it's clean and they have ample parking and seating inside. As soon as I walked in, I noticed they had cups of OJ on ice. I immediately asked if it was fresh juice and the cashier confirmed that it indeed was. Long story short, it was amazing and they bring it out in a big glass garnished with a sliced orange. Totally didn't expect that. The burrito was good and I got it with sausage per the cashier's recommendation. It was definitely filling. There was plenty of egg, meat, hash browns and cheese in every bite and it was a good portion but not so big that I was bloated after the fact. Of course a trip to a burger joint isn't complete without an order of fried zucchini. They did it right and it was crunchy and crispy until the end. They give you a lot of it for being a side order. That little impulse snack aisle that Fry's has is pretty much geared towards people like me. While waiting in a long line I had to avert my eyes so that I wouldn't be tempted to grab some chips, candy, "As seen on TV" gadgets, etc. So on the way home I decide to stop in Alea cafe. It's pretty much the only place you can eat at in the area. The place offers spacious booths inside and a nice area outside to enjoy your meals. Food is everything from gyros, burgers, tacos, salads and more. Everything is made to order so your order will be piping hot. I was in the mood for a burger and zucchini fries. Burger was fine, wasn't the best I've ever had but not bad either. Zucchini fries were a tad too salty. It doesn't need the excess salt like fries do. Toula, the owner is so nice. Points for her. Tried this place over 2 years ago during lunch time and I was instantly hooked. At the time the breakfast special was $2.99 and you got 2 eggs, 2 pancakes or hash browns, 2 bacon or sausage and 2 toast pieces. Now its only a dollar more. Ive tried almost everything on the menu and never have been disappointed. I would recommend the following based on my taste buds haha The alea burger (bacon, avocado) Chicken pita (pita with chicken, tomato, onion and lettuce) Chicken kabobs (comes with rice) The asada nachos Their polish sausage with any breakfast combo. My niece told me about this place. And I also have to wonder what Mr. Bong was smoking when he wrote that review up there. For a nice, relaxing lunch it's perfect. Granted, it's not a fancy dining experience, but it has definitely got what you'd want: delicious food, reasonable prices, generous proportions and fast service. There's no waiting. You order at the counter and the staff brings out your food. You can even eat outside on the patio and watch the construction workers. Just had an awesome gyro here. The beef and lamb was well seasoned and served with fresh purple onion, tomatoes, and taziki sauce on a pita bread for $5.95. My dad always comes here and today he ordered the breakfast special which came with 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and 2 slices of bacon for $3.99. You can't beat these prices. Well, I have to say it's a nice place and the staff (singular) was very nice. I met a friend here on a Saturday afternoon, about an hour before they were to close. Being where they are (business/industrial area), they of course don't get heavy traffic on the weekends, I imagine. Anyway, there's a great selection of both food and drink - even a nifty cold (aka 'iced') tea dispenser that boasts four options. The place is clean with plenty of parking and a patio area. Unfortunately, I was a bit underwhelmed by the food. There was nothing wrong with it (taco plate), but it just didn't leap out as being exceptional nor memorable. My friend enjoyed her pita sandwich, though. I guess I get the feeling that as we were the only and last order, maybe they just 'slapped it together' and got ready to close. As I live far away, I realistically may not ever be back for the distance-reason alone, but I think it's worth a try..... Alea cafe is a great little spot for the Anaheim Canyon folk. There is nothing to eat out here that is walking distance, so this place is perfect for a lunch walk with the co-workers who cannot choose one type of food. Alea is owned by super nice people that know our names and our favorite foods well. They serve basically every type of food including: Greek, breakfast, burgers, salads, soups, Mexican etc. My options are limited now that we are vegetarian, but I eat their salads and burritos when I want a nice stroll and a place to eat outside. This is a definite spot to go for breakfast too! If you like breakfast all day for $2.99 then you're in the right place. Finally felt like we HAD to write a review about this place, which I seldom do. We've never had a bad experience here- for breakfast lunch or dinner. Anything we've ordered from here: breakfast burrito, gyro pita, asada fries, pancake combo, cheeseburger.. You name it! AMAZING. Gourmet food and excellent service (Frank is our favorite!) always personable and super nice! Had some grumpy old man come in while we were eating, complaining and rude about just about everything while he was ordering and he handled him calmly with ease. Smacked in the middle of businesses and no other competition around that offers food = great location for business! Not only do they serve breakfast but lunch as well. I wouldn't say it is fast food but it was not a long wait for the food to be served. I ordered a sausage omelet which came with potato hash and wheat toast. The potato hash needed a bit of salt but the omelet itself was delicious. The entire meal itself was very filling. I was only able to finish half of the meal and ate the rest for breakfast the next day. That saved me a bit of $$. Lolz and all that for only $7. Pretty darn good! The restaurant itself was spacious with plenty of booths to choose from. The place was pretty clean for its standards. Service is key with all of my reviews. This being said the service i received the other day was horrible. I wasn't attended too in a timely manner and once i finally was attended to it was very rushed. Almost as if she was in a hurry to be somewhere. I ordered a chorizo and egg burrito. When asking if hash brown come inside she said yes. When I reviewed my receipt i noticed she charged me $1.00 for the hash browns. When i asked her about it she said she thought i knew the extra charge...uhhh no, this was my first (and last) time there. Not to mention the burrito seemed small in size. I work around here and I come here all the time. The only thing that keeps me coming here the simple fact that the food does in fact taste really good. However, the customer service here really sucks! Every single girl that works there have bad attitudes and they are rude. It seems like a chill job so I don't really know why they need to be so rude and lazy! I was standing at the counter and the cashier was just socializing with who I believe was a regular. (It seems like they're picky about who they're nice to). I stood there for 5 whole minutes until I looked at the older woman (manager/owner) who was just sitting and she did nothing. Ok so we decided to stop by after PT and leaving not too thrilled...I ordered the waffle combo asked for sunny side up eggs and bacon and sausage and only recieved bacon the eggs were not very good just cold. The bacon was not cooked thru. Waffles were hard. My husband ordered steak sandwich with a mixed order of zucchini fries and fries and not too thrilling :( the steak sandwich was mainly fat. Fast Food Casual Extroidinaire.. I have driven by this place hundreds of time. It's located in the heart of industrial land, Placentia. Yesterday stopped in because I had to Pee and after doing that I had to try their breakfeast. Not bad! What I noticed was the place is run by a pro who really works hard to deliver the best fast food anywhere. Places clean, decorated nicely, bathrooms are spotless as is everything else. At 11:30 am the place was packed and more people came in as it approached the noon hour. Less than 24 hours later I stopped here again around 2 PM for a late lunch and had great chicken strips. Huge pieces with a ton of fries. My only regret is I was unable to eat all my chicken strips which were huge and made with all white meat and the French fries. I see them calling for me as I write this for you Yelpers. Too bad I am on a anti-fried food diet.. Don't tell anyone I had what I had for lunch... I fee sooooo guilty. But I digress: Not sure why you would come here unless you were working, going to FRY's, or you are lost. 4 stars on the breakfast here. I haven't tried anything else yet but the breakfast burritos are for sure solid. Not the best you will ever have but better then most places in this business area. I have tried several different options for breakfast burritos here and have been satisfied with each one of them. I like the combo one the best with sausage, bacon and ham. Freshly prepared to order with good flavor. If you come here and are taking a take out order it's easiest to order over the phone for pick up as it will be ready when you arrive and there is not sitting around waiting early in the morning when your starving. Overall a solid place with comparable prices to other restaurants in the area for breakfast burritos. We have been here several times and will continue to eat here in the future as my whole team be I enjoy their food. One of these days we will try their burgers and some other dishes to see where they stand on those items. read more

A combination of disgust and disappointment. I went here for the first time as it's near my work. I ordered a southwest chicken sandwich and an alea burger. After about 15 minutes my order comes out but they give it to the person seated next to me as they dont use the number system for orders. So I wait, and I see the people open the sandwiches, look at them, handle them, open them up, and realize they aren't there's. So after some confusion Tue lady takes it back to the cook. A large man with a mustache. He takes both burgers, looks at them, then re-wraps them and brings them to me. After being handed by strangers. So after 20 minutes of waiting I just take the burgers, not gonna worry about these germs I gotta be back to work. I asked him what can you do for me?.... slight pause then he says what do you want me to do?.... I told him how about you comp my food?... he says ok can i have your receipt. I gave it to hom and says ill be right back. he send his waitress to give me my money i said to her thank you. then the other waitresses are very friendly and attenative to the others eating there, smiling and so on. each time i jave walked in here never been treated like that. im all about customer service. it turns out the people behind me ordered the same meal the waitress brought the meal, and says to the guest oh sorry forgot the salad, brongs them theor salad, then oh forgot your garlic bread, or and your ranch...so on. I never knew you get garlic bread, the first time i ordered this meal the chicken was so fried looked like the served me a pigeon bot a chicken....lol. its funny o base my restaurants by the first trip, and for some reason i came back gave thwm each time another chance..... even though i got a free meal their waitresses need to not be judgemental and treat everyone respectfully and the same way. unless the person is being rude in some way then i see where the attitude may come. anywho this day marks the last day o eat here only because of their service. food was good the third time around, but they owe me a few pieces of garlic bread lol. ill pass. but just be careful and look in your salad befor you take a bite. service needs work.... read more
