TikTok brought me here. I have been craving tacos and this is literally down the street from us. I got the Birria Taco plate and the Mr ordered an Torta sandehich that came with chips. It was delicious and he agreed. The staff is nice and its clean and organized inside. We definitely will be returning.

Confession Time: Gatekeeping Tacos No More Alright, alright, I'll admit it - I used to keep my favorite taco spots on the down low. Why? Because nothing kills my taco vibe faster than a TikTok-fueled line longer than la frontera. But you know what? It's 2024, new me, new rules. Time to share these gems with mis amigos. (Check my other reviews if you want to see what else I've been selfishly hiding.) First things first, let's be real: there aren't that many great taco spots in Dallas. Sure, Salsa Verde is solid--it's affordable, tasty, and packed with regulars, mostly paisanos who know what's up. And Revolver Taco Lounge? Best upscale tacos in town, if you're willing to pay Dallas-level prices for your taco fix. Enter Al Chile Taqueria. This place is like if La Banqueta, Cesar's, and El Tizoncito had a really tasty baby. With multiple locations, it's kinda turned into a mini-chain, but this specific spot is the OG of deliciousness. Seriously, these might be some of the best tacos I've had... like ever. Even the service, they shout your name and you walk to the half door. Waiters? You wish! Los Tacos: Let's be honest, not all tacos are created igual. Sure, they've got the usual lineup of meats you'd expect, but let me tell you, the cabeza (head), lengua (tongue), and tripa (pro tip: get it extra crispy, trust me) are on another level. Normally, I avoid these because they can taste like someone's lost pet, but aquí, I actually ditch my usual al pastor and bistec for these gems. Other Food: Quesadillas? Go for the tinga--spicy chicken heaven. Burgers? I mean, fine, if you must. But make it worth your while and throw in some suadero (thin belly meat) to level it up. Otherwise, estás wasting your time. The Downside: No bottled water aquí. But, hey, they have mineral water, Jarritos, and the holy grail: Mexican Coke. The ambiance? Eh, hit or miss--this isn't where you bring a first date unless you wanna impress them with your impeccable taste in tacos, not atmosphere. More of a grab-and-go joint for locals, with a TV that always has music playing--adds a nice touch of sabor. Pro Tip: There's a killer dessert spot next door--grab your bottled water over there before you swing by Al Chile, and head back for something sweet after. Also, sign up for their rewards program, because a taco discount on your cumpleaños is basically a love language. Bottom line, this place is fantástico. I've brought friends from Monterrey, Chihuahua, even Cuernavaca, and they all agree: this is the real deal. Chicanos need not apply. The salsa's spicy (como debe ser), but honestly, the tacos are so tasty you might forget to even use it. Buen provecho, mis amigos.

    Quesobirria

If you come for Quessobirria find another spot , if you're already here just drive away... the consume was flavorless so watered down and sad :( and quesobirria soft and cold.. I SAD

The food was delicious and tasty just as it looked online!! I found the restaurant from TikTok and just had to come try it. Also the horchata is so good and authentically flavored.

The food was super mid and the tacos are really small and the pricing is crazy for 8 tacos and 8 tacos only was 33 dollars and no sides or nothing ended up going to jack in the box next door didn't fill me up at all I'm not even the type to leave reviews butt Gawddamn

I stopped in here after church for a couple quick tacos and they were pretty tasty. I got a choriqueso and an al pastor queso. I will definitely be back to try more options. I tried both the hot sauces they brought out and man are they super spicy!

    Fajita Tacos

They completely changed their recipe. They now provide white corn instead of yellow. Also, the fajita meat has changed. I'm not impressed.

Consome , Torta de birria, Taco birria individual

I ordered the Taco birria individual and the Torta de birria and the Consome (the consome had a weird taste to it didn't taste like consume tasted like it was burnt and old in a pot) it didn't come with any onions or cilantro or salsa I give it a 2/10

    Sushi Sinaloa

Food was great. Truly taste like actual mexican food. Ordered the sushi and it was just like Sinaloa's as they claim. Staff was very friendly and service was great. Really liked everything.

I work in Oak Cliff and decided to order from Al Chile on Door Dash. The tacos were amazing. I have had tacos from all over Texas and the country and these were the best. I am a taco purist and love just meat, onion, cilantro, and a little lime. They are on the smaller side, but they pack a punch of flavor. The cheese tacos are especially good. I kept raving to my husband about these and when we were in the neighborhood, we stopped by. He thought they were great too. Will definitely be a go to spot.

My new go to taco spot! Tacos are BOMB!!! I love straight authentic Mexican tacos and this place has them. Most definitely going back to try the quesadillas! The place is supper small but cute and trendy!

A small little restaurant in not the best of neighborhoods. We were told they had really good tacos so we came to check them out. The tacos are pretty small and just okay. I posted a picture of my 3 y/o hand in comparison to the tacos to give you guys an idea of the size. The chicken quesadilla had shredded chicken and tasted more like tinga, way more lechuga than actual cheese. The Jamaica agua fresca tasted more like the package kind instead of homemade. Won't come back.

amazing tacos, best agua de jamaica. we got fajita, tinga, chorizo and tacos de birria. 10/10!!! the salsas we're so good!!! everything!!!

I'll skip the pastor and chicken quesadilla next time, and try and get the birria tacos if I'm there on a Sunday. I didn't get a picture of churros but they were the best I've ever had. Crunchy and flavorful. Service was fast, but the calling of your name (to pick up the order) is super low. I don't know how my friend heard our name. Ambiance is loud, but I was also there during the Mexico WC game, so that's understandable. The place was lively and fun.

There are multiple locations in DFW, and this review is for the Chilangos in Dallas off of Ross. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The two Chilangos locations I've been to are both located in strip malls with a bright, neon "Chilangos Tacos" sign above the entrance. Inside, there's reggaeton music, tons of patrons, and ESL here. Once you place your order, grab a Jarritos, a bright red metal seat, and watch the staff cook your tacos to order. 1 Star. Service - The staff are very friendly and efficient. It really helps if you speak Spanish, so go with someone who does, or point to the menu item you want. Once you place your order, grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. The staff is super nice and efficient, and our order was available in about 5 min. 1 Star. Food - Birria Quesatacos with consume. Memorize it and order it. Kudos to my son who swears by this dish. I am now a believer. The tender seasoned shredded birria beef is so flavorful. The quesataco style melts the cheese into the corn tortilla. And when you take some diced onion and cilantro to top it, dunk it in the consume before biting into the most flavorful taco served in DFW. According to the menu, this dish is only available on the weekend, but I've used food deliver services to get my consume fix during the week so YMMV. Bottom line, it's not just the best item on the menu, it's the best taco bite in all of DFW. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Chilango Tacos is expanding in DFW. There are now multiple locations in all of DFW so there should be a location near you. Chilangos Tacos is now in my weekly rotation. 1 Star.

The surrounding neighborhood, however, was a pleasant surprise. It's a trendy, energetic pocket of Dallas that I had somehow never explored before, and it immediately caught my attention. The restaurant itself is quite unassuming. If I'm being honest, it didn't exactly scream "come on in." On this particular night, there was only one employee working. It took nearly 10 minutes just to place my order and another 15 minutes before the food arrived. By that point, I was more than a little annoyed. Then the tacos showed up. Talk about a complete plot twist. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the flavors were absolutely unbelievable. Whenever I visit a taco spot, I like to order a variety so I can get a sense of what they're really capable of. This time it was the al pastor, carne asada, and Baja tacos. One word....incredible. I can't tell you which one was best! I've had great tacos before. I've had places nail one or two selections. But I honestly can't remember the last time three completely different tacos all delivered a perfect punch in a single sitting. Every bite was packed with flavor, expertly balanced, and memorable in its own way. Without question, this was the best taco trio I've ever had. What a roller coaster of a visit. I went from feeling completely ignored and wondering if I'd made a mistake, to wanting to walk back into the kitchen and hug the chef. Sometimes great food doesn't just redeem an experience--it completely rewrites it. The Taco stand is GOATED
