I had such a great experience, and the food was amazing. Service came quick and quiet. No complaints, I will be back.

My husband and I went to see Spiderman, in August 2026. The Alamo Drafthouse has changed for the worse. They have young kids that have no manners and are rude. I am a handicap woman who uses a scooter to move around, and the person in the front (who sells tickets), did not give us a handicap seat with two (2) chairs. they gave us a spot where i was to watch the movie from my scooter. i specifically told him that i needed to seat on the theater seat, and fold the scooter, but he said they had no seats like that, but guess what? They did. so i went to ask him to change my seats, and he was extremely rude and obnoxious. I am a 65-year-old woman who is NOT going to argue with a child, so i watched the movie from my scooter. also, the food ordered was extremely cold and the meat was raw. i returned but they refused to give me a refund. and had, by no other choice, to get something else. And this is why i go now to the AMC in Staten Island. (And might i add that my husband and i were faithful customers of the alamo from the week they opened in Staten Island, until they started hiring young kids that have no manners. there is also the matter of payment, i would like to decide how much i should tip the server, which only came by me once. (since there is no light to call them), not everyone has a cell phone who scans. You guys really screwed up a good thing with the alamo. please try to improve, and think of the elderly and the handicap. (not just young people like movies). thanks, Maria Garcia read more

Wow what a great experience! I must say I will remember "the Alamo". First, buying tickets at the box office was seamless. No, they do not have kiosks to purchase tickets. I was still able to pick my seat and pay my way. Yes, you can still order tickets online but why pay a fee? Second, the theater is immaculate which is another plus. I love a clean theater. I found my reserved seat and wow.. comfortable seat! You see I haven't been to a IRL movie.since last year? Maybe? Ordering food is not new, in fact, Nite Hawk cinema in Williamsburg was a pioneer. I love the way Alamo sends "reminders" to order now because in ten minutes phones go away. Then you order by paper and pen, you know 1800's style. Be careful, if you do not follow the rules: no phone, no talking etc your neighbor aka " FBI moviegoer can fill out the card stating you are creating noise and off to movie jail you go; kicked out of theater. I was in the mood for popcorn and a soda. Michael greeted me right away and took my order. As I waited, I learned from my neighbors that Alamo has a Pre-Show. This one was highlighting cinematography and how directors went from Panavision to 70mm. Additionally, how Paul Thomas Anderson has creatively shot his films from Boogie Nights to Licorice Pizza. Pretty interesting. Michael served me my large popcorn ( only size they sell) it a big metal bowl. I asked for no salt and the popcorn was delicious. I also ordered the pretzel with honey mustard and queso. I must admit, I enjoyed the pretzel and the queso, perfect for a movie. I highly recommend this theater. It is located in Hylan Boulevard plaza. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to visit pre or post movie. So do I recommend "One Battle After Another"? Yes, Leo is in top form. I did end up coming back to watch a movie. Altho it was quit the traveling but I still came . I went to watch Venom & it was one of the best movie this year. I also Tried their food this time, I tried their vegan cauliflower basket with a chilled glass of coke. I gotta admit that it was soo yumm. Also coke is refillable . I think it's ridiculous what goes on with the season pass. First, I was offered the second month free if I signed up. which I did. There was no second month free. So why did I keep seeing those ads before the movie that it was? Also, the convenience fee is nonsense. What if I don't have $2 or $4 for the fee on any of my credit cards? then I can't see the movie even though I have the season pass? why can't you give us the option to pay in cash? I'm pretty sure this lack of wanting to take cash is illegal. Not that any of this matters because Alamo wont read this, and even if they did what are they gonna do to make up for it? The quality ofFood has really gone downhill since Sony purchased the alamo. the queso had no flavor and completely hardened so I could not dip anything anymore. the fries were soo stale and were cold when I got them. I love watching movies at the Alamo. It's a movie theater for movie lovers. It's clean. I wish the Staten Island location had an IMAX or 70mm screen. Food is expensive, but the quality is great. The Wu-Tang theme is amazing. read more

Fun world-class theater experience. Went here with a friend to watch Super Mario Brothers and was intrigued by the interior design. The building has Wing Chun dummies on the outside with outdoor dining. There is a whole hallway dedicated to old school Kung Fu movie posters of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee which was fun to see. I enjoyed the dining options though they were expensive - $20 (+$4 for tip) for a large crispy chicken sandwich with large gravy fries. The service was quick. 5/5 read more

Honestly, I really wanted to like this location's Alamo because it is closer to me than the others but just like my prior review (in which I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was still relatively new at the time) it fell short. Out of the 3 locations in NYC, this is the last one I would go to. The service was a little weird this time. When I walked in they checked our tickets at the front desk which is weird and seems like a waste of time since it's checked when you're seated too. The other locations you just go into the theatre and they only check once. I had written our order before she got to me to check my tickets but instead of just taking the order card to punch in the order, I had to read it out to her. I would've preferred to watch the previews instead of reading out our order. After taking our order, instead of continuing down the aisle she went up one level even though there was a group next to us. She never checked on them and kept bypassing them until eventually they got a hold of one of the servers to put their order in right before the movie started (which took a good 15 min). And then because she never went to them, she had to bother them just as the movie was starting to get 4 credit cards, 1-2 at a time which was very distracting. This time we ordered mainly from the limited time only menu: -glazed and infused burger with fries - partner said the burger was "okay"; fries weren't crispy on the outside and potatoey on the inside like other locations, kind of tasted like frozen fries reheated; the weird thing was it is supposed to be served with ketchup but instead we got salsa...dipping fries in salsa? Ok. -I want all of you pretzel - honestly, didn't taste like a pretzel, tasted more like fluffy bread. I did like the jalepeno cream cheese dip but it wasn't well mixed. The bottom just tasted like cream cheese, while the top was great with a kick of jalepeno. -tried to order the big freakin' cookie shake - but they were out. Also overheard from another group that a normal beer was out as well. -carnivore pizza - the homemade marinara is usually very tasty, but this time it didn't have the punchy seasoning I usually like. I was so pleased to find an Alamo Drafthouse in Staten Island. I saw a very popular film here early on a Sunday during its opening weekend and this location was totally empty. I had lunch with my movie. The brussel sprout, bacon and goat cheese pizza was delicious. My beer arrived quickly and was the perfect temperature. Alamo continues to have a great selection of food and drink as well as great seating and sound quality. The theater was clean. Bathrooms are gender neutral as well. Plenty of parking available. read more

I have been waiting for about two years when I heard about the announcement. I don't have to go over the bridge and pay for parking! :) I went on the opening day to watch Flying Guillotine.. and now I'm back two days later to go see Marcel the Shell. I'm so excited, for real. The seats recline. Please note: no texting in the theatre, or taking calls. There's always a funny reminder before the movie. I've reactivated my season pass and I'm so so excited. I abs love this movie theatre. Cheaper than AMC. Bar in the lobby. Service is great. Seats comfy. Vibe is super laid back. Old movie posters along the hallways. Popcorn is great! Absolutely love this theater. Offers many screens and the place is beautifully decorated and clean. Apparently someone loves Bruce Lee!! (A gazillion posters of his movies ) Being the least expensive theater in staten it is also a dine in. Let's talk about the food. I know the chef must have his hands tied but I wish the menu would change up a bit I've been here about 3 times. The avocado toast wasn't great. There's yogurt in the mix which gives it a sour taste. Why not just leave a good thing alone ? Chips and queso - eh. The queso is smelly and strong. Would just prefer salsa There's not enough appetizers for just having small snacks. Worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Last night I bought 3 tickets to see Avatar at Alamo drafthouse in Staten Island. The reason for purchasing the tickets was to take my friend, who recently had major foot surgery out of the house. He was using a iwalk (device that attached to the knee and acts as a foot) for the first time. He was happy to have it because it helped him move around and allowed him so freedom; however he needed to keep a slow pace to remain steady as he moved. We parked in the parking lot close to the escalator in the Alamo drafthouse shopping center. Since we had to move slow, it took us about 15 minutes to cross the street, get on the escalator, walk up the second level hallway and into the theater. By the time we got to the front desk of Alamo it was 30 mins past the start time of the movie. The two people working at the front desk (male and female) scanned our tickets then paused and said 'oh do you know about our late policy?' We said no (we had no idea). The Alamo employee stared at my friends leg on his iwalk and said 'you didn't get here fast enough' I saw my friend look down at his feet. I could see how hurt my friend was...not being able to move like normal was/is a big mental pain for him right now and to be told that he didn't get there fast enough seemed like a Specifically mean choice of words. My friend was so hurt he couldn't speak. I explained to the two Alamo people at the desk how tough things have been for my friend, I also explained how we took almost 15 minutes to get to the Alamo desk from the parking lot because of my friends restricted movement. The man behind the desk cut me off and told me 'this isn't a movie theater for people like you' - I have no idea what he meant by this. Was he speaking about my friends leg, just because we were late, was there any other reason?I didn't ask him because he was raising his voice and getting in my face. I politely told him I'm not trying to make you upset or escalate the Situation I was just explaining to you on a human level what caused us to be late. I asked for a refund but he also refused. I was left with no choice but to leave. I was hurt my friend was crushed it was the worst night. read more

I used to work here and now I can write what I've been wanting . The Staten Island location yea pretty and nice inside . Food Terrible, it's either cold like fries are cold ,cups dirty and greasy the utensils are also disgusting and rusty. The management are racist . The young white college kids as the former GM ONCE called them . Frown upon ppl of color that comes there , they always think they aren't going to pay . After waiting a long time for the food - almost halfway into the movie, I had to ask the staff if they had forgotten about my order. When it finally came it was wrong and did not look or taste good. I asked to speak to the managers and when they finally came they could care less. If you are a manager isn't it your job to try and listen to the customer and if possible, help figure out what went wrong and how it could be fixed? Not these losers. They had an attitude and basically said its a movie theater not a restaurant. If you want better service go somewhere else. I definitely will be going somewhere else. Alamo Drafthouse is awesome. Nice spot here in the heart of the community. We stopped here to check out the Drafthouse. We ordered some food and all . I wanted to try their big bacon burgers and french fries. Nice place to watch a movie like we did. Next time I want to try their pizza. Nice cinema area, and good seats to watch our movie. Parking was not so bad either. Nice staff and this was a fun place to go to. I will come back on our next trip. read more

For sure an ella ayer movies experience with option to view older classic movies as well. It's super cute, has a whole bar area and clean. We didn't actually order food just popcorn and a alcohol drink. Everything was great even the drink. However service was a bit slow, took over 30 mins for popcorn and drinks to come in. I love movies. Wanted to try something new. Been to movie theaters in Amsterdam, London, Paris, Milan, Manhattan, Tokyo and here I come not expecting anything & I've literally seen it all! The food was great! There's a very knowledgeable movie buff working there btw! Although, the ladies that go to the ladies room seem to be a bit out of control! It was hysterical: they have another movie going on in the ladies room with the clientele! It was interesting to watch! Poor guys that have them as dates ! It happens! And I feel bad for the staff,.. the staff is amazing! Btw! Trying to do their best with these completely self absorbed women! It was a Staten Island experience I'll definitely go back! Decided to check out the new Alamo. Definately same quality food as Brooklyn for sure. Pickle fries and omnivore pizza always a must. The table set up is lacking compared to Brooklyn. If on a date the tables are not share and the tables are also far away. The seats however are better with soft faux leather cushions and full recline. read more

So we were excited to check out the Alamo Drafthouse which finally opened up at Staten Island location located in the outdoor Boulevard shopping center off of Hylan Boulevard. They just opened up a new Mexican/taco Lobo Loco in the same area but we wanted to sample some of the food at the Drafthouse so held off. We arrived 20 minutes early and were greeted at the entrance where we were told they were seating but I definitely wanted to check out the Flying Guillotine. We have been to other locations before so we're familiar with being able to take a drink in but it's always a cool experience. The bar had stool seating as well as some setback booths as well as outdoor seating with a great selection of draft beers but unfortunately they were setting up and not open until 4 (It was 3:50! ). There is a cool shop with a couple of t-shirts I have my eye on for future visits. Unfortunately the Ninja Gaiden arcade game was not working. The hallways were lined with vintage martial arts posters and descriptions. Bathroom walls were lined with comic book covers and pages. A lot of workers were in training seemingly with purpose but we sat down and there was no real explanation of the process from anyone. 10 minutes went by and nobody took the cards. Finally our server came by and was very nice but obviously new. I ordered a Killsboro draft beer and queso as well as popcorn (bottomless), candy and soda for my daughter and a house salad for my wife. I also got a boozy coffee milkshake after which tasted great but probably could have used another shot. Service was very smooth. The actual theater experience with reclining seats, air conditioner and great sound was as to be expected. Only other hiccup was at the end as we were leaving and got the check that the 25% training discount was not automatically applied and I had to ask for it to be done which saved us about $12. I imagine there are some clientele who might not be aware and are paying the upcharge. All in all a nice change from the AMC and I could see us frequenting when they have special events or showings. read more

Not bad, overall meh experience. Didn't start off great as we got there about 6-7 mins late (busy lot; had to circle for parking, and stuff happens) and had a problem as they refused to seat us until a manager came over and sat us. The seats are comfy, theater is clean, and the movie watching experience is good. Didn't try the food but didn't hear good things from those in our party. Biggest thing we didn't like was that this place felt like a school with all of their weird rules--a friend got tapped twice to stop checking their phone during previews, which was annoying considering they had to just send a quick text (to us) asking where we were (while we were almost denied entry). Decor in the place is cool and retro but the bathroom situation is odd as best. Overall it's not bad but there are better on Staten Island. Don't want to say I wouldn't come back again, but it wouldn't be my first choice when going to see a movie. read more

I've been coming to Alamo in this location ever since opening day. The food gets served to you when you watch a movie. The options are great, but can be a bit pricy. Bottomless popcorn (which means unlimited popcorn) for $10 is great, however sandwiches and burgers range around $15-20. The appetizers are also about $12. The quality of the appetizers are great. The mozzarella sticks , the fries, etc., are really good, but the quantity is pretty small. I use to order Buffalo cauliflower and it was worth the price but the quantity of the food gained a downward trend and I would only get about 4 pieces rather than the usual 8. All the milkshakes are $10 and they would give you a lot for that. I would order food here more often if the prices were a bit lowered. All in all, The quality is really good, just small portions and a bit pricy. read more

Very cool spot with lots to see. If your an SB movie fan like us, this place is for you. The bar is fully stocked with premium liquor and a great selection of IPA's. The bar tender was great, very knowledgeable with the cocktail menu s d just all around chill person to talk with. At our seat, our server Sophia was super nice and very attentive. We had burgers and fries, pretty good. I ordered a soda and holy crap it was huge, plus free refills! The only slight issue was the lack of staff working and assisting customers with questions. But, still a fun Saturday night to catch an oldie, but goodie or a new blockbuster. Oh, don't forget to purchase your "Protect ya neck" T-shirt on your way out. read more

I am leaving a one star review because I am watching the fnaf movie and I order a Caesar salad that's 10.95 and I got it with chicken that's 5.95 and so it would of been like 16.90 dollars but the total was $19.. like where did teh extra 3 come from because I asked for an extra fork which matter a fact I never got after asking 2 times,So overall the service was mid, the only good part was the movie and the atmosphere.(I literally got scammed) and in my opinion the food is overpriced like 7 dollars for a soda like I can go to Marshall and get one for a dollar and something cents. read more

What a terrific time my family and I had there! The place is Huge! Clean! Well Maintained! Staff is Super Friendly! You feel like you're going out, not just going to the movies. They have this great bar/lounge area to hang out in, and you can also have drinks brought to your seat in the theater, along w/lots of food, not just snacks! There's an array of food choices, paying attention to people's dietary preferences, like Vegan & Vegetarian choices... Go! Plus, even though I'm not a huge karate fan, they've got epic fanfare of Bruce Lee throughout so you feel like you're in a museum of sorts and you can't help but appreciate all that he accomplished! read more

Been wanting to check this out and finally dropped in during the wkday to catch a movie! The theatre decor looks super cool! Its pretty much very similar to AMC dine in and iPic theatres. You order food/drinks from the comfort of your seat. Their menu has a variety of things to order! They have reclining seats but theyre not temperature controlled. We went on a cold day and it was freezing in the theatre so we kind of wished we had temperature controlled seats or even blankets lol. But other than that its a cool theatre! Im not sure if theres only one family bathroom and urinals. So if ure a female and prefer to use a toilet seat theres only the family bathroom u can use ! I cant imagine how that works when its a crowded day and everyones getting out of a movie and tryna use the bathroom! read more
