The service was weird. Was standing in line for about 8 minutes, then a guy just casually walks up from the dining area and stands behind the counter. Doesn't say anything. Just looks at the people in front of me and says hi. lol it was weird. I ordered the Mexican lollipop. It's a cider with a sugar tajin rim. It was good but definitely not worth 9 dollars. read more

The Alchemy Craft is one of my favorite places to have a drink. The Michelada here is one of my favorites, definitely on my top 5. Usually do the Mexican lollipop next and then whatever seltzer they have that night. I really liked their lavender lemonade but I haven't been able to come across it there again. The service is poor. Just order and go. Recommendations have never been good stick to your own judgement. The ambiance is great, it has different restaurants to eat around it. I checked out Alchemy Craft on their grand opening during the Montebello Street Fest and I had a great experience. I love craft beer and although the menu is smaller, I think the selection caters to various preferences. I love dark beer so I ordered the Horchata stout.. I enjoyed it and 1 beer gave me a small buzz I was surprised to feel. My friend ordered the Mexican Lollipop which was watermelon habanero, she loves spicy and she must've exclaimed how much she enjoyed hera about 3 times! I'm down to go back to see if they rotate their beer selection. Chill vibes, very friendly service, line moved fast, and plenty of seating. It doesn't hurt that I live down the street.. I think it brings a nice touch to the area. I've been to Angry Horse (across the street) numerous times but it has been long overdue for a new spot with an inviting atmosphere to pop up. I wouldn't be mad if Montebello evolved into what Whittier has going on.. plenty of places to drink and grab quick bites along the same street. Let's make it happen! read more

This little bar pours brews from local micro breweries. It sits inside the new Blvd. Mkt. outdoor eatery on Whittier Blvd. in Montebello. The beers have not disappointed and the outdoor seating makes it a nice location to enjoy a brew. While Alchemy is just inside an alcove area the outside is ringed with four separate eateries to enjoy your beer with. Super light and drinkable if you aren't huge on beer (you'll enjoy this). I've also had the their Mexican Lollipop which was a Watermelon Habanero cider which is great, but will catch you off guard in the best way possible. Made an unplanned stop at this cute social eatery spot today. Wow!!! I had the cucumber sake infused margarita with a jalapeño kick from Alchemy Craft ...Yum! So then, I had to try the hibiscus infused sake margarita to compare the two...double Yum. And all this while enjoying the music from the DJ under the shade of an umbrella. Next time I would definitely have the margarita glass dressed with chamoy and Tajin to kick it up a notch but either way definitely delicious! Got to say, I appreciate having both drinks served in a beautiful gold rimmed crystal glass. Went here on a Saturday night , and it had just the right amount of people. Tables are outside , we were able to get one right away. Almost right after we sat an angel came and set a heater right next to me. I was sold! Lol I had the michelada and my husband had the Take me to Paradise. Both were very good. The service was AMAZING, literally every person I encountered who worked there was very nice. They had 3 food options, my sister had the pupusas and I tried the tacos all food was very yummy.
