A friend and I stopped for dinner and a drink or two on Sunday 2/16/25. We sat at the bar, the bar had two other patrons, and maybe two or three tables, so lets just say not busy at all. The bartender never once said hi, hello, welcome in, NOTHING!! He did provide us with menus, but never mentioned specials, suggestions, ABSOLUTLY NOTHING... I nudged my friend and said lets at least have a drink, thinking the bartender just had a rough day.. However, a bar or restaurant manager, as well as another server also came behind the bar, made eye contact with me, and again crickets.... no hi, hello, NOTHING AT ALL... We both agreed to finish our drinks and have dinner somewhere else. Don't waste your time here, customer service sucks, and they don't seem to care if your there or not. Came here for a work lunch and it was OK. Our server seemed a bit out of place or was probably just very overwhelmed as it was busy during the lunch hour. She did fail to provide everyone at the table with menus and missed one of us when taking our order. It also took a while to get our food out and some of us were missing the sides we had ordered. I had ordered the mushroom truffle pasta - it was good the first few bites but the more you ate into it the more saltier it got especially with the after taste. The service was also a bit slow there were people who came in after us who were given the bill while we just sat there and waited but eventually ended up having to get up and move to the front in order for the server to know we were ready to pay. Waste of money. Service was poor, chicken entree was dry tasteless..clams dish pasta was flavorless. My wife and I had to ask for salt and pepper and even then there wasn't much flavor. To be perfectly honest, we almost didn't dine here when we noticed it was attached to a hotel. We are glad we decided to dine in. Started with oysters and they were fresh. We gave this place two tries....Dinner service was nothing to write home about. We arrived to not find a host the first time and had to walk to the front although the restaurant was empty. Seemed like the host was more occupied talking with the bartender... We ordered the caviar tots and they were underwhelming (came stuck to the plate, the salmon caviar might have been toasted under a salamander instead of being a garnish at the end. Caviar was rubbery and got stuck to our teeth) Wine selection was also meh. Best thing we ordered we the Moules Frites. Service was ok for the most part. Came back in the morning to have breakfast keeping in mind our experience yesterday with the mussels being the highlight. We chose the al a carte menu over the buffet partly because it lacked gluten free options because one of us is celiac. Ordered tea (which came with maybe 2in of water in a cup and a packet of tea on the side how infuriating by the time you put your tea bag into the cup you have tepid bath water instead of a tea infusion with not even a pot of water on the side to top off ). Ordered the toast was ok (maybe half of an avocado if I was lucky but didn't care for the cheese spread on top felt like eating a whole container of Boursin cheese to myself). Hubby ordered the oatmeal which was to his description as cold and sad. Also decided to order the parfait (last time I checked a parfait is pre assembled, also was pretty sad wish it came with more granola, yogurt was bland was dying for a little bit of lemon or a pinch of salt) Overall pretty lackluster, would skip this place for breakfast. Interior is pretty and has a interesting vibe but really never not full. Menu for breakfast and buffet is not properly thought out. This restaurant is a neat and tidy place. I love that everything is so calm and peaceful. But the food was a little disappointing for us. The meatballs I tried were chewy and gamey. Some dishes were good to eat and were filling though. The fries, sandwiches, and grilled cheese were good. Our waitress was very kind and patient. "Hostess" said we couldn't be seated and to wait. She proceeded to not only ignore our group for 20 minutes but 4 other groups left before we did. Neat interior, and the cocktails are pretty good. But unfortunately that's where the praise stops. Prices are quite high, so expectations were also high. But the food was really disappointing. The mushroom pasta was criminally under-seasoned, and I suspect the mushrooms were added to the pan before any effort was made to pre-cook the moisture out of them, so the sauce ended up as a diluted, oil-water mixture. The shrimp cocktail lacked that al dente "bite" you expect, and instead was a mushy mess - either left out too long, or overcooked. They used some nice-looking gulf shrimp, but somehow the prep and cooking turned it all wrong. read more

Food was a little slow coming out, but not a huge deal. We had some time to kill so ordered two Coffee Nudges. Neither Joyce nor the bartender knew what a Coffee Nudge was? Pulled it up on our phone to show the bartender. Were assured he could make them. After ten minutes someone new brought the bill, but still no drinks. I went with my family for breakfast and the general consensus was they have the best yogurt, oatmeal, and French toast we have tried. We started with caviar (salmon roe) on tater tots and a wedge salad which were both just a notch short of extraordinary. For mains, we chose their messy but delicious burger and the yummy short ribs with polenta. Full, and with food still on our plates, we shared a huckleberry profiteroles. We did not leave anything behind on that plate. Sharing is a great choice here but they have several small plates, too. We had many tempting items to choose from and are planning a return in two weeks to try them. There is little to contain sounds so if you want to converse with your dinner partners, have an early dinner. I ordered the Chinook salmon which had a lot of flavor and we also had the short rib which was very rich. The service was fantastic! Heather seated us and gave us wonderful recommendations-- the apple cinnamon G&T was so flavorful and refreshing! Pretty standard nothing special so I went with off the menu. I got lucky enough to get Mandy as my server as she was super friendly and helpful. Probably the best breakfast potatoes I have had as they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Went with the famous mushroom omelette and added bacon to it.( 7.00 charge so next time I will get a side and probably get more bacon ) Coffee was not as good as I would think being in Seattle but what can we do.
