This seat material is horrible. Sweat is non-stop and fading is big time. Run don't walk from this crap.

They've taken car of my shoes over the years and I brought a challenge with a pair of beloved Bragano loafers that you can't buy anymore. Matt is a pro and a genius in how he was able to bring these back to life. In his words, I brought him a train wreck...and he fixed it! Matt, you are the man!

I had been hesitant after reading mixed reviews of other places, so I reached out to Maselli first to see if they could meet my expectations. Their responsiveness and honesty immediately gave me confidence, and I decided to bring my boots in. I did have to pay the full amount upfront before seeing the finished product, which made me a bit hesitant at first--but the results truly speak for themselves. What impressed me even more was learning that the restoration was hand painted, not sprayed on, which shows just how much care, skill, and meticulous attention to detail went into the work. You can really tell they take pride in what they do. This place is truly a gem, and I'm so glad I took the chance. I've finally found a shoe repair shop I can trust and will absolutely be coming back.

When working in the city I would sometimes drop them of at places there just for convenience but nothing as good as The Cobblers. Not only a shoe repair place but a store for boots, work boots, hats, coats etc. I even stock up on Shoe Goo here for my Merrill running shoes with the sole that can't be replaced but was told it would be more expensive if they did it so just get the Shoe Goo. This place has been around since the late 50's and run by the same family.  Shoe repair is an art that won't get taken over by AI. The only thing that will put a place like this out of business is disposable shoes and clothes.  We are not there yet for the nice stuff. So once again my partner needed heels on her boots and since nothing local it's of to Hayward. $20 up front and a few days later boots look as good as new. New heels and all polished up. So for the ladies not sure if ya'll in the clackety heel camp or the more cushie no clack camp, but they have both. My partner is in the clackety camp. You can get hear her coming on a tile floor a mile away. So not just heels but resoles and all types of repairs. There is free parking on the street and in the back. Go there, it'll be great.

I needed the rubber part of the heel replaced as it was wearing down close to the leather stack. The rubber heel was replaced with good craftsmanship. The boots were polished up nicely. I came…read morein earlier this year to fix the bottoms of some vintage Ferragamo's and was very satisfied with the job and how they fixed up the velvet exterior as well - plus, I forgot to mention when I dropped them off that I wouldn't be able to pick them up and they shipped it too me no problem (obviously I paid a fee for it but duh). I have so many of my grandma's vintage shoes to bring in and know that I can trust them to do a great job on every single pair. Is it expensive? Yes, a bit. But are you paying for skill? Absolutely. They're craftsmen/women and deserve it! Thank you and great job!

Whatever product they used or method they used it changed the color of the leather. It made them way darker in certain part of the boot very inconsistent. You can see in the pictures the different shades in the leather. It gives the impression that only one part of the boot was cleaned. I wish they would have giving me a quick run down of what they were going to do to the boots. Not cool walking around with half tan half brown boots. They charged $35 for this color scheme. They messed up my Thorogood boots. Not a cheap boot. I don't recommend this place. There another Cobbler in town that did my other work boots for half the price and they didn't change the color on the leather. STAY AWAY.
