Found my new auto service place! I called earlier in the week to schedule an appointment for servicing for front brakes since they had been squeaking for a few months. Mauricio was super kind over the phone and customer service was fantastic! When I arrived for my appointment, I met Mauricio in person. He was so much nicer than I could have expected. I only mention this because my previous experience in auto service shops elsewhere always made me feel rushed and that it was inconvenient for me to be there. I received the complete opposite treatment and Alexander Auto Service. He broke down the service for me, gave me an estimated timeframe and told me they would check my back brakes too to make sure they were okay. He had my car ready for me earlier than anticipated, told me my back brakes were fine for now and even had my broken windshield wipers replaced for me! This place is the best! They are friendly and a great value and I'm happy to come to them again if I have any issues. My tire had a 1/4" nail stuck in it and they not only patched my tire but they were willing to deal with the fix a flat fluid that I had to use to temporarily fill my tire. Firestone and the Dealership I went to wanted me to replace my entire tire rather than save it. Not about to spend $300+ bucks on new tires when the problem is totally fixable. Last week I got a tire low air pressure, came and check they help me found out it was the rim broken causing that. So try to save money they suggested me order the rim myself and they'll install it with the tire. I came today and they installed it for me with fast and professional work. Reasonable charge. Took my car to this place to install lowering springs. Mechanic I had been to before only complained as to how busy he was but would take my car in anyway. An hour later he calls me back saying he couldn't do the job due to him lacking the proper tools. I was so upset because I had driven in from OC and this day was my only day off. For more than 30 years we have been going to different service providers in this little enclave of car repair shops. Crazy Joe, the electric specialty shop, the speedometer specialist, and Anthony's Muffler have all been great. I wouldn't trust these guys with my kid's wagon. Honesty is the most important thing in choosing a car service center. I recently overheard one of the service guys extort money from a man who came in and said he'd hit their sign with his bike and scratched it. The serviceman asked for $100 and accepted $74 that the guy put together. I'd bet the owner won't see a cent of that money! Not inspiring confidence or good for their brand! read more

I took my Jeep to Alexander for a second opinion. The Jeep dealership in Covina told me my driveshaft was on the verge of breaking. The dealership also said not to drive my Jeep because it wasn't safe. It was odd because my Jeep is fairly new. Alexander checked my car out and saved me from having to pay $2000 for nothing. Found this shop by sending in a request to businesses on yelp. They were the first to respond and I was stranded with my car. They quoted me a fair price and had it towed over right away. They started the repair immediately and the staff was very helpful, patient and understanding. Mauricio was the person who I dealt with on the day. I needed an oil change on my 2019 Accord which I've owned for two years since purchased with two miles on the odometer. It was literally the third oil change I needed since new with ~17k miles I've put into the car mind you this is my first brand new car. I am not about to get ripped off by the dealer crooks at Honda so it's extremely difficult to find a mechanic I can trust. I would perform the job myself but I live in a two bedroom apartment in congested uptown Whittier with limited parking. Prices are reasonable and the guys there are very helpful! Needed a coupler changes on my Hyundai Elantra. Other places were quoting me over $700 but Alexander Auto was able to do it for me for a little under $600 which is great! On top of that my car was ready the same day! read more
