While I I totally rated a five for my experience because it was great, I changing my rating to a 3. This change has taken place due to the lack of post purchase follow up calls. There were a few things that we inquired before we left that day and we were promised follow up on. We were told there was no promise that what we were asking for would take place ( which we accepted) but that the PROMISE follow up. We didn't get the follow up call initially as promised so we called them and this time we were told we would get a call back which 3 days later we are still waiting on. 1 year ago I posted about the great service I had here. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for my experience this past wednesday (8/4/21). Unbeknownst to me, a small rock must have hit my windshield prior to bringing it in. Kenneth told me that the mechanic noticed it when I dropped off the car, but they never mentioned that to me until I called right after getting it home and saw a big crack in my windshield. Kenneth also told me that washing it in cold water on a hot day, which they did (101 degrees) could enlarge a small crack. I sent pictures via text and was told the manager would call me in the morning. Manager never called, but received a text that claimed they "reviewed their security footage" and said there was no crack and they're not liable- it must've been my own fault & now it's my problem. When I told Kenneth I thought it was a "stress crack" he told me "don't believe everything you read on the internet" If you want your car problems exacerbated, and you want to pay even more to fix their mistakes - and if you love being talked down to; you're going to love Alexander GMC Buick Simi Valley service dept! I just had to replace my entire windshield because they couldn't be bothered to follow their own advice! read more

I contacted the dealership by internet and received an immediate response from Jairo Gonzalez who did everything he could to accommodate my schedule to go check out a very unique Yukon Denali that I found in their online inventory. Man, where do I start. I feel bad for my sales guy. I made this man work. I called him. Missed a few appointments. He kept on calling me to come in. Told me that I wouldn't be wasting my time. My wife had been looking for a specific Buick Enclave for 3 months. Due to the GM Strike, there were only 2 of the vehicles in Southern California. This store was one of them. We made a call to see if it was available, it was, so we made the 1 hour drive to check it out. It happened to be Valentine's Day and I knew it would be a great surprise for her. We were met by our salesman Bijan, who gave us a very detailed tour of the car and test drive. After some back and forth, we met the Sales Manager, Wayne who took great care of us. They found the interest rate we wanted and were also able to get me the best price we could find anywhere. WORST service department ever. Yelp its time for a ZERO STAR RATING. Service writers are rude, disinterested and do not seem to have a good relationship with the truth. They will say anything when taking in your car and then........ $155.00 by the way to just diagnose your car. If they tell you that you are getting your car back the same day good luck to you. If they tell you that you will have it back the next day good luck. I can tell you not all service departments/dealerships are created equal. They need to get a consultant in here and train their service writers and actually include some Customer Service training. Perhaps they only care about warranty work where they do get a CSI score and not cars that are out of warranty. read more

I had another car in for service and noticed a 2018 Chevy Camaro for sale. Wayne the General Sales Manager was the most rude sales person I have ever dealt with. After several months going back and forth he forgot who I was and tried calling me after a "watch" inquiry online I created. I was on my way from supplier and two other coworkers heard the way he spoke to me and they said to hang up. He then emailed me and said do not ever contact them again. I was approved by my credit union and offered a 3rd party service to handle deal. HORRIBLE. The car was certified but as soon as I had it delivered and went around the block, the engine oil light came on and smelled burning, then noticed one of the lights out. They picked up car same night and said I would have it back "maybe" next day. I advised them that I had a dinner celebration to go to and needed it by 5 pm next day. I had to text to find out where it was! Well it wasn't ready so they gave me a loaner. They knew I had to be at an important dinner and said I needed them there by a certain time. They were late and left the loaner car with 1/4 tank of gas KNOWING I had to drive over 40 miles to this dinner which I was already late for. Next day comes and still no update. I finally text and ask and all I received was we are all good, what time will you be home? The service has been horrendous and DONOT recommend this dealership whatsoever! read more

Its been 24 hours since i coverted to an ameican car after 25 years and as i embark on my first adventure in a super powerful suburban 4wd i am so grateful for the process at Alexander Buick and GMC! I walked into this dealer by a stroke of faith and immediately greeted by the general manager Wayne. His charisma, warm smile and kindred spirirt makes you feel so welcome and as if you just arrived to see family. I expressed my needs for a new car and he was eager to know my why. This is so important because sometimes we dont understand the pros and cons of certain features. He educated me on the different models and gave me his opinion based on experience for my whys. I enjoyed a very casual conversation and soon thereafter we started looking at the availability of cars. The salesman, Gilbert joined us shortly after and was attentive to what i said. We saw a few models but Quickly arrived at a car that fit my needs. Gilbert and Wayne were on point showing me the features, car history and offered a test drive. I tend to research quiet a bit and was happy to come into a zero pressure dealer but rather a casual conversation to ensure that i found a car for my wants and needs.. The car needed a recall repair which was handled the next morning as the part had been on backprder and i came back in to finalize the deal. The negotiation process was effortless as they are transparent and professional. Gilbert answered every question and fulfilled each request. I filled my app online and when i came back in everything was ready. The car was spotless, full tank of gas and ready for me. The finance manager was very educational on gm products and very swift! I always dreaded the closing process but this was in a blink of an eye. Wayne is new to the community and has a vested interest to make this dealership succesful. He has opportunity, willingness and drive. I admire this in a small business within our beloved simi valley. friends and family- visit the dealer, take a look, SHOP local, the 'deals' are here. We worked with Elayne in test driving a car, she was amazing. My problem came with working with the sales team. We went late 5:45pm Thursday to look at a car and was offered a good deal by sales Lamal. The issue came with the manager Mike and sales Lamal, not wanting to work with us to confirm the cost in the morning with are bank since we already had an approved loan. I just couldn't understand why the Manager Mike could not back up what he and his team was offering until the morning. If you have ever gone with an approved loan and if the vehicle alone is more than the bank is allowing, you must pay the difference. After two days going back and forth, we worked a deal out. I should have just walked away but didn't, lesson learned for future. My biggest issue came with the sales Tony, he was very inpatient and rude working with our bank. We went in on Saturday to sign papers, by Monday he was already calling where the check. As soon as Tony got a response from our bank, he didn't like. My husband received an EMAIL, "Hey, sorry to bother you I checked with bank, and they won't be able to do the rate with us at rate what you guys need to do is send us a check". We stopped responding to him and allow the bank to handle the finance. Clearly there was no issue, we still have the car, Tony was inpatient. I would assume to allow at least 24 hours for the bank to process the papers but dang I guess GMC Simi doesn't do that. One more thing we had a due bill pending, I had to reach out and get that time set up when I was told they would call me. They were quick to ensure they were paid but took their time on scheduling my due bill. Getting the due bill taken care of was another headache. I was supposed to get a call from Service on Monday from Harry or Tina to schedule my service. I had to call Wednesday and once I got a hold of Tina, she had no idea on my due bill and was not able to schedule anything. She took my information, and the Service Manager was going to call me. Nope, I then receive a call from sales Tony to schedule my service. I will not be going back to GMC Simi or referring anyone. read more
