You call yourself a Steakhouse AND have the nerve to charge those kind of prices. Meh....this place is truly a dump. Run down, dated decor, cheap AF tablecloths. I mean if your going to charge these high prices, please invest in some updates to the place. Very expensive and not memorable lunch, so unfortunate. Our server Lenny was fabulous and running all around, as he was the only person working. I would not recommend this place. Sorry!

I went to Alexis steakhouse last night where I sat at the bar. The bar was pretty full but the seats were fully open but it was a Tuesday night so I probably didn't experience it at its busiest. The service was standard and the drinks were at your typical price but I felt the food was more on the expensive end which I didn't understand why. I had a steak Caesar salad which was great but for 30 dollars it's pretty expensive in my opinion. It definitely has a sports bar type of feeling but also could sit at table with family and friends. Overall I would come back here again as the food and service were good.

We wanted to go to a casual restaurant, some of our friends wanted steak. This restaurant is huge, it's 3 floors, the 3rd floor is reserved for parties. The decor isn't great, it felt very outdated and gloomy. But the service overall was good. To start we shared a spinach and artichoke dip and disco fries (not pictured). We didn't like the spinach and artichoke dip. It was runny and lacked flavor (it didn't even taste like spinach or artichoke). And the chips were semi stale. The disco fries had gravy and cheese (basically poutine). It was okay, nothing special. For my main course I ordered the Cadillac burger. The burger was so dry, I had trouble swallowing it. It had no sauce and the patty wasn't juicy and had zero flavour. I had also requested ketchup to drizzle on it but never got it. Overall, did not enjoy the food or the ambiance. I think this place needs updating because it has so much potential.

I recently came to this steakhouse on a Sunday afternoon with my girlfriend. After searching online for some good steaks to try, their Delmonico Steak caught my attention. This was the main reason we chose this place; to try that steak. This place has a nice size parking lot. We had no issues getting a spot. When we arrived, it was not too crowded, and we chose to sit in the dining area vs. the bar area. They had a lot of tvs in the bar area and had the football games playing and chose the quieter section. After being seated, I stared off with ordering a French onion soup. I love this type of soup, and it was delicious here. For our meals, we ordered 1 delmonico steak and 1 red hawk steak sandwich. I had the steak cooked medium, and it came out just right. However, I wasn't too impressed with the taste or quality of the steak. It was very fatty, and just average, I thought. My girlfriend didn't like her steak sandwich that much either. Seemed dry and bland. The sides were okay. I wouldn't say the steaks were bad, but nothing to brag about. If you want some average steaks and are not looking to spend a lot of money, this play will get the job done for you.

Ok so I think this place really deserves 3.5 stars but I'll go with a 3 since some dishes were better than others. While it's called a steakhouse, Alexus definitely has more of a tavern feel to it. I visited last night with a large group and we sat in the bar area. For the most part, service was pretty good, food was decent and everyone left satisfied. Mango habanero wings: 8/10; chicken quesadillas: 7/10; Cobb salad: 9/10; burgers: 6/10: cheesesteak: 7/10; mozzarella sticks: 7/10; buffalo chicken tenders: 9/10. No one tried any steaks but I'm tempted to try one on my next visit just to see how they fare as an actual steakhouse. Overall, I think it's a good spot with convenient location by MSU. Lots of parking, decent food and ok service. I'll probably check it out again in the future.

Water so bad PAID for a water bottle!

worlds worst water! i would never order any food here just good for tv and to watch sports but definitely do not eat food here. shit hole for sure

Sure, prices definitely went up, but steak is still great here! Out of 4 Delmonicos (24oz each) priced at $29, mine and hubby's were flavorful, perfect medium and tender! I don't eat mashed potatoes, but I love their garlic mashed! French onion soup still on point and pitcher of beer was ice cold. Hubby enjoyed their chili and chips, but I still think mine is better :P ! Our waitress was very attentive throughout and I couldn't have asked for better service. Not as loud as it normally is here, but then again dining area was half full and bar practically empty which surprised me. Pickles a gratis sans the cherry peppers, but our waitress graciously brought out jalapeño slices for us. No complaints on this visit besides my parents griping about their steak cooked a bit over medium, but it didn't stop them from devouring it. Plenty of parking and TVs available to watch your fave game. Some days can be really loud if there is a popular game on, but tonight I got lucky and peacefully enjoyed my meal!

The guacamole is plentiful and tasty. Also the salsa was delish too. My table patrons didn't like the clam chowder. They said it was too salty. For the mains we ordered the roasted chicken, hot chicken sandwich and the Cajun seafood alfredo The Hot chicken was divine and huge. You won't be disappointed with that one. Good amount of spice. The roasted chicken was lemon rosemary jus was delicious as well. I ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. As soon as I received my dish I asked the waitress where the sausage was, she couldn't answer but went to get her manager. The manager said normally it's under the pasta. Still, no sausage in the pasta. They apologized and made the sausage and added it to the pasta. I wish that was the only issue. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.
