This place is very clean, very fancy. The pastry case was insane, and I was very sad we weren't picking up food the day we popped in. It was pretty quiet in there, save for almost constant web orders being picked up. There was one woman in front of us waiting for her beverage. Service took a while because only two people were working. (But I don't know if more than two fit behind the counter.) A little tough for a weekend morning. The staff was prioritizing the online orders, and left all 3 of the pending beverages open, partially complete, for 15+ min. When they finally called my sister's drink and name, the woman in front of us - who was there first - grabbed it accidentally. Luckily she just put a straw in and my sister was willing to take it because the baristas would have taken way longer to make an additional beverage. I've been to Alfred multiple times by now and finally found my favorite drink, the Espresso Cloud Cream. My favorite part of course the cream on top, which is very sweet but also has a sprinkle of cocoa to balance it out. The latte itself, is just like any vanilla latte to me. There is street parking around the shop, but it tends to get super busy. When you get any drink, make sure to stop by the station they have with utensils and stuff to get something to mix the syrup on the bottom, this applies to their lattes and drinks in general. They took my order at the register and asked if I wanted any milk alternatives, etc. and were super nice! My drink came out very fast as well and they would call your order when it's ready. If you are able to, I would recommend online ordering just so it's faster! There is plenty of seating indoors as well as a few outdoors. read more

Very bright and white and plant base feel that you get here. Chairs are made of wood, and there is a lot of bright spaces to sit around. The chairs are really heavy to move for once so I know they are real wood! I must say it's not comfortable to sit for a long time unless there's a cushion or if your tush has cushioning! I couldn't sit here for long and there is no outlets if you're wanting to use your laptop. At least I couldn't find the outlets. Food wise there's a lot of different types of burritos but that's about it. It looks like it's package burrito that's warmed up for $15. But if you're hungry, you'll take anything. Coffee is what you should be here for. Love the espresso cloud coffee with the cream & the seasonal drinks here. The service is pretty good and attentive. They do have a tea selection that is on a separate menu that you have to ask for. overall, a nice place to get nice bright light while you take your coffee. A little overdue of a review. My family and I have been coming to this location every now for a little while now. Recently, I've been going there quite frequently picking up amazing too good to go bags. If I must say, this place definitely is one of my top too get to go bag vendors in the area. The coffee is always good. It's a coffee chain in LA so of course not really much special to that in my opinion. The customer service is always friendly. Some of the young ladies are more friendlier than others, but that's everywhere. Sometimes when I stop by after work in my work uniform, I feel like I get a little less friendliness than when I've come in off the clock. But I'm probably overreacting. We came here after visiting a kpop store across the street. The shop is uber cute (we're from Hawaii, visiting) and zen-like with those most unique trademark. We love all the greenery in this place. Staff were friendly and found out my brother knows the owner (he's a PT) and raved about this place as well. I had the matcha latte and it was very tasty. The kid had the world famous vanilla latte and thought it was sweeter than she likes, but still tasty. Coming from Hawaii, not sure if we could ask for less sweet as we def would have. Been wanted to try this place out for a while! They're super dog friendly and have plenty of seating. We opted for sitting outside since it was a really nice day. Came with my friend and we got the match strawberry latte and the pumpkin spice espresso cloud cream. I also got the matcha croissant. That cloud cream is like CRACK! Sooo good but make sure you give it a good stir. They made my drink really well! Super balanced. I really did love the matcha croissant. It was packed with flavor but I feel like they could have put even MORE! My one gripe is that we bought a normal iced latte and that was only.25 cents less than the speciality drinks! I saw this location while I was driving by and decided to make a stop. I parked around the corner and walked a whole 1 minute to get there. They have an outdoor seating section that's reminiscent of covid when streets were turned into outdoor patios for patrons to dine in. You do get close to the cars passing by and that can increase the noise level. On a nice day, may be nice to sit outside and just people watch if you don't mind the noise. Inside is very new, simple, modern, and there's a huge plant in the middle of a room where people can sit around it however, the seating isn't really comfortable. I ordered a simple iced latte. Service was welcoming and friendly, and my drink was prepared pretty quickly. The drink itself was very mild. It tasted very diluted. Alfred's on Beverly Blvd is hands down some of the best coffee in LA. The coffee was smooth, creamy, and had just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. I ordered the Cloud Cream with dairy whipped vanilla served over espresso and milk, then finished with sea salt and a dash of cocoa. Every sip was perfectly balanced and honestly addictive. I also ordered the steak breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. Packed with scrambled pasture raised eggs, cheddar cheese, roasted baby potatoes, and garlic confit all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla with chipotle sauce. Super flavorful, filling, and easily one of the better breakfast burritos I've had in the city. On top of the great food and coffee, David provided amazing service and made the whole experience even better. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming and a fantastic barista. I typically don't get coffee here, because it's not good and they use paper straws that are just awful. I'm annoyed by this place. First there's no restroom ,are you kidding. Second the place is devoid of any character. This is my new back up after my neighborhood coffee shop Groundwork closed last week. Isn't there a county or city ordinance that states that places that have on site food or drink consumption are required to have restrooms. For now this location is just for picking up coffee or I'll go to Adante down the street. read more

Cute space and decent coffee but really bizarre that they don't have a restroom for customers. They'll direct you to a neighboring business-- who will subsequently get upset with you for coming from Alfred to use their bathroom. They DO have a bathroom on site they just refuse to let customers use it. This is a health code violation for an establishment that serves food and it's pretty awful that they try to pass the buck to other businesses or suggest you "go use the one in a public park somewhere." Please avoid this business and/ or submit your complaints to the LA county Public Health Department. read more

I truly want to love this place but there's a lot of flaws that need to be adjusted. I work in the area so I have tried this place over 5 times. The drinks are consistently subpar for the price. I have tried the matcha and latte variations. Service is okay depending on the day you go and the people working. Some are awesome, others aren't not fluent in customer service at all. The biggest flaw is every time I come, they are consistently out of the food offered. Every. Single. Time. So if you're planning for breakfast, be prepared they might not have what you want.
