First and foremost, the Costco connection to obtain the service needs to STOP representing them. First initial service and set up went as it should. However, months later it started like this; scams of the year for sure! 1. Noisy water cooler- it was changed 2. Picked up delivery and left me none 3. Bill increased just because 4. Pick up date missed 5. Canceled monthly delivery- that was ignored and another bottle sat tight at my door waiting for me to store it for them while they charged ME the additional unwanted unneeded bottle. 6. Called and there were no notes from my previous 2 calls in less than a week 7. I canceled their service , why? Where do I begin? I've had service with Alhambra for years, like at least 8-9 years and the customer service just keeps getting worse. Delivery drivers are rude and just leave whatever quantities they feel like leaving despite you having requests for a certain replenishment. Billing is weird and is run every 28 days instead of a set day every month. CS reps are not very friendly and make you feel like you're inconveniencing them for calling. Recently, they had some sort of system outage for over a week and ever since, I've been trying for days to get ahold of a customer service rep and can't seem to get anyone on the phone after waiting for over an hour each time! So we have water service scheduled for every two weeks. Its been six weeks now and no water. Called Friday (1 hour and 52 minutes of hold to get someone on phone) and was told they would be here Monday. Well today is Tuesday and called again (1 hour and 48 minutes of hold until i get a person on the phone) now they telling me it will be here Thursday. Had to bring a 5 gallon bottle from home, purchase two-24 packs of water and still out. Not sure what has happened with this company, as we never had problems in years past. Worst customer service. We have been waiting for our water delivery at our new address for a month. Supposedly 3 attempted drop offs for water and they never showed up. So we tried to cancel the service and schedule a pickup off the bottles and cold water dispenser and they never showed up x2. I have never actually left a review for any business before, but my patience for the flat out awful Alhambra Water Delivery service has reached its limit. The main issue I've experienced with this business, is that they claim to be a water delivery company but I have had a total of 6 deliveries missed in the past 2 months. Of the 6 missed deliveries 3 were scheduled and 3 more were placed on non scheduled dates courtesy of the customer service rep (who I had to wait an average of 2 hours to reach). In any case, the last scheduled recurring order that I received was on 06/07/21 and since then every two weeks on my regular delivery date I receive an email saying "You're delivery is on the way!" and I stupidly place all of my accumulated empty bottles outside of my front door. More frustratingly, after the delivery gets missed there is no follow up message or even a simple email saying "We are currently over capacity or experiencing a lag in deliveries" etc. On top of this, another point of frustration is that while one customer service rep was able to schedule me an emergency order on 07/12/21 (which does not fall in my regular delivery cycle) the other representatives tell me in an apprehensive way that "nothing can be done" or that "you just have to wait and see if your delivery comes on your scheduled date." After waiting an average of 2 hours over my 5 calls to Alhambra's customer service phone line it becomes pretty frustrating to have the representatives rudely insinuate that not getting a water delivery isn't that big of a deal and that instead of trying to figure out why a service I am subscribed to isn't actually delivering the product, I should save my energy and go get my water on my own. Each call seems to end with the customer service rep saying "we will forward your message to the area manager and as you requested they will reach out to you within the next business day". I have waited for a call back and have yet to receive a single email/phone call from the one person who each customer service rep claims can actually explain the situation and help me out. It becomes upsetting at this point, because as I'm sure each one of these people that have left a bad review for Alhambra can attest to, we understand and have the self-awareness to realize that in the spectrum of life a water delivery, or two, or three being missed isn't that big of a deal and don't need a customer service rep patronizing us for being frustrated at the fact that Alhambra is not adequately providing the service they are marketing. Speaking for myself, I can understand being understaffed as I can only imagine how frustrating and difficult it can be for a water delivery associate to have to carry gallons of water each day. I can also 100% understand delayed deliveries due to the drought. Yet the glaring issue here is that while our Milpitas branch of Alhambra cannot meet its current delivery demands we can still go online or on the app and schedule a delivery for virtually as many bottles as we want. Instead of taking the time out to update their system so that they can set reasonable customer expectations, we are led on to believe that everything is fine and dandy up until our delivery day comes to an end, at which point we realize that we idiotically left out our bottles out for no good reason and once again Alhambra is not coming. To nail it home, instead of receiving any heads up that your delivery was missed you just have to wait another 2 weeks for the same thing to happen. I have attached images of current deals being offered by other water delivery services (as of 07/27/21) in the San Jose area as an example of what other companies are currently offering as an incentive to use their service. What I repeatedly asked the customer service rep and what I would like to ask the area manager is what incentive do we as the customer have to stay with Alhambra if we need to hope and pray that bottles come and continue to have missed deliveries. At this point, I am just getting my own water which effectively means Alhambra is not doing its job. To wrap this lengthy review up, I have reached my breaking point having to listen to customer service reps essentially tell me, "You haven't had to pay for missed deliveries so suck it up, its your fault for getting worked up our service isn't coming to you on time." I will take the passive aggressive and round about suggestion offered to me by the most recent Alhambra's Customer service rep I spoke to, and stop wasting my time and just cancel Alhambra altogether. read more

No accountability and spotty delivery service. I signed up with them originally due to the Costco member "discount" which really isn't much of a discount when you compare the same set-up with Arrowhead. You pretty much come out even WITH the discount applied. On several occasions our driver missed the scheduled delivery date. When I called customer service after 5pm I was told he could still make it BUT just in case, they will reschedule for the following day. You know damn well water is not getting delivered after 5pm especially when our driver usually got there at 8AM. Last week we were scheduled for delivery on Friday instead of our usual Monday due to the Labor Day holiday. Driver didn't show up so I called and was given the normal bs line and rescheduled for Tuesday delivery. Guess what . . . no delivery on Tuesday. I call Tuesday and am given the same line as before so I asked to be transferred to CANCEL my service because I don't have time to spend nightly on the phone trying to figure out why it's so hard to deliver water! The rep. comes on the line and offers to escalate to a supervisor and deliver an extra bottle of water to have on hand for delivery the next day which is Wednesday. I jokingly said . . . well, the driver would have to show up for me to even get the FREE 5 gallon bottle. Escalated to the Supervisor, free bottle scheduled for delivery the next day which was Wednesday . . . . . insert the sound of crickets here . . . . guess what!?!?! He scheduled it for THURSDAY instead of WEDNESDAY. CHECK PLEASE!! Hopped on the phone Wednesday afternoon as soon as I saw online that they scheduled it for Thursday and cancelled! I turned right back around and signed up with Arrowhead instead and got $50 off so the first month is free and my deposit is covered. All for $3 more a month than this crap. Alhambra is scheduled to get their junk out of my house tomorrow, I hope they run into the Arrowhead guy who is also scheduled to deliver the new equipment. read more

These guys are horrible!!!! Not once...not once have they ever been on time with my water delivery nor cancellation pick up. I really tried to give these guys a chance after two missed deliveries. It takes over 45 minutes to get a customer service representative on the phone. The employees are professional and apologetic on the phone and the delivery guy was very cool and professional as well. I think it really is a management issue. Each time they said sorry, we'll push up your next delivery date only for them to fail to deliver time after time. I got so fed up I cancelled my account. I've cancelled my account in May and they have failed to pick up their water dispenser and containers over 3 times already! Their website and customer service line went down a couple of weeks ago and stayed down. I thought maybe it would be out for a day, but it was closer to 10 days and that's just ridiculous. I received no emails or communication from the company about what was going on. I sent multiple emails about my missed order with no response. The website is up now and my delivery status said the next delivery was June 25th. When that date came and went, the website updated with June 28th (today) with no courtesy email or any notification. It seems the delivery date just keeps moving to the future. My deliveries got messed up at the end of May. They delivered an extra bottle to see me through to my next delivery the second week of June and nothing has arrived since then. Good luck getting through to anyone on the customer service line. If I don't get a delivery today, I'm cancelling my service. It stinks because we've had this service since August 2020 and it's been pretty reliable until recently. I own a business, so it is paramount that we have drinking water, according to state law, and the nature of my business. They were great for the first month. After that they just didn't deliver. Yes you heard that correctly. Today I'm on the second hour of hold. Yes you heard that correctly, going on two hours. So when I set up the account with them, I said Delivery would have to be on FRIDAYS. Period. They didn't deliver in February, so they promised they would deliver this past week. They did not. Man, oh man, this is the worst water delivery company in history. They've gone through many incarnations in the past years and now they're technically Primo North America, though the bottles delivered say Alhambra and they also use Sparkletts and Mountain Valley Spring. The company was sold in January and Primo is now the company. Here's our problems and they're the same you read about here and, in fact, were problems we had with Alhambra, just that now it's much, much worse. The pandemic, the drought, and god knows what else (wind, fires, traffic, etc, i.e.) all seem to be excuses used but that's not the worst of it. The worst is they never pick up the phone for at least 30-45 minutes, 41 minutes and holding on my third call today. First one was disconnected and the second I gave up on after 37 minutes and, sure, I tried going to the website but can't get into the site, doesn't recognize my email and when I attempt to register, am informed there's already an account. Three times and still same answer. We're in Terra Linda, in Marin County and as far as we can tell, not in the boondocks and certainly not the only folks that use this service. All our neighbors say the same thing, "These guys are a nightmare." How can they say they can't get us in or they had to miss a delivery, when half a truckload gets dropped off in a square block...and don't get me started on the current vagaries regarding the last bill for water we never got and no date on current charges yet we got billed for it. Inexcusable and if this continues, we're committed starting a group determined to find a water delivery service that we can trust and rely on and don't even get me started on the $4 charge for an email bill, no corrections or apologies ever given and hey Primo, do you think our time isn't worth anything. C'mon folks, we pay a premium for water for godsakes and don't think we can't do without you, if we have to we will..53 minutes holding and just about ready to drive to Safeway as we're out of water and 5 bottles sitting outside for a month now... Repeated attempts failed to get through and message read, "Oops! Something went wrong!! Try again." Yelp sure has a sense of humor. So being duly diligent, I hit the website and sent a message to Cara K. In care of their general delivery email account. No reply. I also noticed about a half dozen different names listed as Business Owner and they send almost the exact same email to anyone posting a negative review. My guess most people give up after their DM to Alhambra bounced back. Primo North America should be ashamed of themselves for caring so little about customer focus. The poor chap I got after my day long wait to speak to someone sounded worn out snd I guess I would be too, working at their East Indian call center. I didn't get my usual call today telling me I'm getting my scheduled delivery tomorrow and why wouldn't I agreed to get my water a day early after missing out for an entire month with all this neglect from these guys. If I started listing all the issues we've experienced with them, I could write a book! In short: Expect your water NOT to show up on the day they tell you they will deliver. Expect them NOT to ever give you a courtesy call about any of the screw ups they do. Expect to have to call them every month several times and spend a lot of time on the phone with their ignorant customer service, just in order to get your water delivered. Set up Alhambra service at our business because Ready Refresh raised their prices- huge mistake. We didn't receive our initial equipment delivery until a week and a half after the delivery date. Ready Refresh had already picked up their equipment on time and we had to buy a case of bottled water in the mean time. There was no follow up, I had to call every day and ask what happened. Customer service would apologize again and again and promise delivery for the following day. Until finally they straight up told me they didn't know when we would get our order. By the time we were due for our next delivery we were almost out of water and they never showed. Again I called and customer service apologized over and over but had no idea why our delivery was skipped and couldn't reschedule until the following Tuesday. They didn't show up then either. I asked for a discount in the amount of petty cash I had to spend on cases of bottled water because of the inconveniences and was told no. Customer service apologizes over and over but fails to fix the problem and their apologies become meaningless and irritating. I cancelled and went back to Ready Refresh, after receiving our first bill from Alhambra they wouldn't have been that much cheaper anyway. To the surprise of no one, they didn't show to pick up their equipment on the scheduled date. I stumbled across these reviews when I was looking for Alhambra's customer service number as they delivered a bottle with a slow leak, which has never happened before. I was almost scared to call their customer service, seeing how horrible others have rated them. I must say it's hard to believe this is the same company that I've been using for many years, first as Sparkletts in San Diego, and for the last 6 months as Alhambra (both are water.com companies) since I moved to Napa Valley. My latest customer service interaction was perfect. I called, they answered right away, apologized for my leaky bottle, and had someone at my house the next day with a free replacement. I had one other customer service interaction about 10 years ago where the billing department charged me for someone else's delivery, and that was also cleared up apologetically and immediately. Finally, they have never, ever missed a delivery in 15 years! Now admittedly, I'm using Alhambra at my new location for only six months, so the sample size is still relatively small, but I've had no issues at all. When I called to begin service, they made the first delivery in just 2 days when I asked if they could push up the first delivery date. Now that's good customer service! Their customer service should be exposed for their lies, lip services, no follow up what so ever, no concern or investigation of your complaint or issue when they hang up the phone, their so called higher up "supervisors" are not supervisors, just fellow representatives who are pretending to be concerned (good actors though!), but the only thing on their mind is to figure out ways to QUIET YOU. TWO 5 gallon water bottles every other week was just too much for us, so I went online to "skip" the next delivery. It was inconvenient for me to do this periodically, so I finally picked up my phone and asked the representative to change the delivery ONE bottle every four weeks. Well, what do you know, there were two 5 gallon bottles sitting in front my door. I thought to myself, we're all imperfect human beings, anyone can make a mistake. I picked up the once again, in order to have my delivery one bottle/four weeks. Second time around, third, fourth... The truck driver was so faithful/passionate to give me TWO 5 gallon bottles for every TWO weeks!!!! I had to pay for the bottles that I did not order, and when I tried to return them for the refund, they simply said "it's company's policy to not retrieve any delivered water bottles". Guess what?! Those unused bottles started to pile up in my garage. I complaint about the lack of communication between the headquarter office and the local delivery truck driver. I even reached out to their supervisor third, fourth times to speak out on the issue I had been suffering. They all said they would handle the matter promptly, but nothing was resolved. False promises/guarantees, each call would (including the waiting time) more than one hour, there several times when I was on hold for more than one hour. Just ridiculous! Finally, they found another person's name on my account. At first, they said (once again) "it's company's policy not to disclose the name", but when their delivery truck driver got a hold of me, he tole me that a person named "Anthony Bose" was on my account/address. Again, it was RIDICULOUS. Nonsense!!! That's why they've been faithfully delivering two bottles of 5 gallon waters every two weeks under the name of Anthony Bose. I got so fed up and I finally decided to cancel the service RIGHT AWAY, on the day I called and got a hold of them (once again, I wasted my valuable time on the phone), but a self-proclaimed "supervisor" said hold on to the cold/hot water dispenser until next month (the next billing cycle) so that I can finish the bottles without any charge to my account. The rental fee (for a dispenser) of $4.99 will be waived and the two bottles they delivered will not charged to my account (as a courtesy). But I said to them that I honestly lost confidence (not a single small droplet of TRUST was left) in their service, and I was afraid that they would still charge me, and then the supervisor suggested saying withdraw from the "auto-pay" and she'll make sure that I won't get charged further. What do you know... I so hate myself... The closing bill had $180+, all charges dating back to the previous month, and on the "paper invoice" they charged me for 12 bottles PLUS 12 bottle deposit (consisting $6 each), so a bottle of 5 gallon water had a price tag of $12.49. Long story short, I spent about my 5 precious hours (including 1.5 hours of holding) to resolve this NONSENSE. This time around, a supervisor called me back next day to let me know that I still owe $180+ to DS-Water. This was her verdict after a day of investigation. She said there were 5-6 times that my card was declined and these charges are what they are, valid charges, have not been paid... If there was any overdue payment, I made a payment. There was "0" balance on my account, and my account/statement would reflect those amounts prior to closing. PLEASE... SOMEONE... HEAR ME... HELP! I signed up for DS-Water service (at one of the booths at COSTCO store) because of your good and high reputation. How can you allow a company like DS-Water to work with you?
