I hate to complain and bash someone's business but wow. I have never had worse service and waited this long for food in my whole life. It was so bad our whole table of 4 had to get up and leave. Beautiful little restaurant on a beautiful strip of sea bright, me my wife and little girl traveled from north jersey for Father's Day, had a long wait coz line was out the door, but it was well worth the wait, sausages, b/w pudding, rashers, beans and eggs.... This is a basic restaurant. Clean with fast service. I had the hash and eggs, very tasty. Coffee was ok and they did come with refills, which is one of my tests for any breakfast restaurant. Despite the restaurant being understaffed in the kitchen, they still manage to make the food delicious under the pressure. Would highly recommend the Aloha and Very Berry smoothies. Delicious and refreshing. Simple but appetizing, their waffles and bacon egg and cheese hit the spot. After church or the beach, this is a good restaurant for stopping in and getting food. All I would say is that the wait can be incredibly long when it's busy. It's understandable with the chef situation, but maybe not the best spot if you don't want to wait long. Not one of the better places in seabright but if your leaving to work and pressed for time this is not a terrible place to go. I wasn't very impressed with the corn beef hash and felt it was way to oily and very fattening. If you need a healthier, tastier breakfast try some places near by. All in all it's not a terrible but there are far superior establishments nearby. read more

I've only eaten here twice, second time being today. I have to say I would've driven right past this place but I'm glad I stopped. I work in Rumson and I usually go to Pier Village for lunch. Ventured to Alice's for dinner w a few girlfriends. At first I was skeptical but had heard great things about the Friday night fixed dinners. $25 for 3 courses. Eh, why not!? The cafe was practically empty aside from us 7. Our waitress was super nice & attentive, major bonus for that alone in my book. Food was delicious. My main course was salmon pinwheels w lobster l mmm. The 3rd course was ok - a baileys cheese pie. I'm not a huge fan cheesey desserts so please take no offense. I hear they've got good breakfast food. Help restore the shore and give local businesses like Alice's some attention. :) read more

Great place for breakfast Friendly staff. Good prices. Definitely a good local Resturant Live in Seabright. Go there every Saturday and Sunday. Always some people think they are very important and are in a hurry to hit the beach. Very busy on weekends as most places at the shore. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. I have a few pet peeves of mine that really bother me. Walked into this place for lunch around 1. Ordered a chicken panini with French fries. Panini was overpriced but not bad. They served it with these disgusting fries. These fries were an old order that they made a little while ago and the re-fried it. I knew from the first bite. I ask the server can I get new ones these aren't good. She was like those are how they are suppose to be. She said that this guy (that she was talking to the whole time I was there) received the same batch, then asked how they were and he said great. I started laughing, asked again for a new order. The new order comes back looking 100x better. I showed her how they were suppose to look and she said its all preference haha! Place is a joke. First timers. Before Superstorm Sandy, this used to be "Steve's Luncheonette". Different owners. We had the Eggs Benedict w/Corned Beef Hash and Fresh Baked Scone. The corned beef hash was homemade and flavorful. Eggs were a bit overcooked (maybe 15 secs) for my liking, but I like them runny. ...That isn't an issue. The scone was fresh out of the oven ...a little dry, but tasty. Coffee was pretty good, too. Our Irish waitress was adorable and friendly. A little chilly in the place, even next to the fireplace. But I like the atmosphere and the food. Reasonably priced. So what else is there? I'm a fan. I'll be back, and 'would recommend. read more

This was the first and the last time we will visit this restaurant. We went in for breakfast/brunch. The service is so awful. It took 20 minutes just to get coffee and a glass of water. Our server actually forgot to give us our drink orders and we had to ask someone else. Our meals took forever to arrive. I got my mean way before my husband got his. I downloaded Yelp specifically to share how unorganized this place is. Alice has a terrible attitude, and all the workers are 16 year old girls who don't know what they're doing. (I understand maybe first job, but COME ON.) After we ordered our food, we sat for 45 minutes waiting. No one came to check on us, no refills, no apology for the wait, nothing. I had to wave a waitress down to come to our table. I asked if she knew the status of our food, and she said "I'll check" in the most insincere tone. She never came back. After another 15 minutes, my table of 4 got up and left with no food. We saw at least 3 tables who were seated after us get their food, eat and leave before we even got ours. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because their food is great. However, their problem is an easy one to fix..... they just never try to fix it. The line is terrible. The wait staff is courteous, but scattered and mismanaged. The food comes out not in the order of tables seated. We waited and watched tables seat, eat, and leave before we even got our food - or a coffee refill. I'll be back to give it another score, but until it improves their current line order problem, I'm not going to change the two star rating. read more

Came here for breakfast before heading out to the sea bright beach with the family . What a huge waiting line ! Took about 20 minutes just to get in, our young waitress quickly tried to get our orders in, only to be forgetting about us along the way. The place itself was packed with minimal movement allowed. As a group we ordered pancakes & omelettes, the prices were decent, but unfortunately had to wait another 30 ish minutes to get our food. within that time our drinks were gone and not refilled until our waitress came back with our food. Food is food, and I appreciated it because I was starving . But in taste, the pancakes tasted like rubber (even after putting syrup), eggs were bland and buttered toast was as good as buttered toast can be. Once we were done eating we had to make our way to the long squished line to pay for our meal. For about 6 people our bill was $64, which wasn't an obnoxious price. In conclusion I understood the place was busy, I just would've hoped that the multiple young servers were more attentive and less obvious in being stressed/panicked. Food was less than satisfactory but atleast well priced. Wouldn't recommend unless you're hungry and less picky and looking for a good price . read more

The place is always packed on weekends, so be prepared!! With that said... It's packed for a reason! The breakfast is one of my favorite breakfast places in the world! Food is always fresh, proportions are always big and I never leave hungry!! Staff of young girls is great... They have a lot of energy and treat you like gold! I go to Alice's kitchen for breakfast almost every day and the food is always great no matter what I order, but today we had Alice cater an affair for us and all of the food was specular.
