I love going here. They are quick and good price for the amount of food. I order their asada nachos and replace the chips for fries and asada for carnitas. the asada nachos have more toppings(beans, lettuce, jalapeños and pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole) And the asada fries just has the guacamole and sour cream.

Little hole in the wall in downtown Templeton behind a convenience store but don't let that deter you. We ordered the Asada burrito bowl was which delicious and a veg big portion size. We also got the ceviche, asada nachos which were also good, especially the nachos. I would highly recommend, solely for the food. They don't have sodas, or offer water or anything so keep that in mind. However, there is a convenience store next door where you can get sodas and such. They only have covered and uncovered outdoor seating areas, so there's no indoor dining option. I would consider fast, casual dining. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, this place is a good find in North County.

We were on our way to the coast from the Central Valley and stopped in here before wine tasting. The place is charming. The woman who took our order was very nice. I had a chicken taco and a carnitas taco. Both had good flavor although they were dry. My friend had a breakfast burrito which she also said had good flavor, but was dry.

Came to patronize the little shop, left disappointed by ordinary food flavor, portion size (see photos) and price. NOTE: The "whole burrito" photo with the Sharpie (for size comparison) is missing very small bites off of the top, consisted entirely of store bought flour tortilla. $15.+ total price for a carnitas, bean, cheese and sour cream burrito is entirely unacceptable from a back of another store operation. Almost anywhere for that matter. This American of Hispanic descent knows what I want and expect in this specific order wherever I order it from. This was NOT it. Your mileage may vary but I'm one and done at this place. P.s. You are forewarned that if you want to pay by card, there is an additional fee that is NOT posted for the patron to note. I asked if there was a fee before I paid with cash thus saving what I consider to be the vendors operation expense, not mine.

Well, we were in Templeton CA for 4th of July parade and were looking for breakfast before the start of the parade. We noticed this small place which showed promise. And I swear, we had the best Mexican fare in our lives!! No two ways about it. We got carried away not only with the humungously huge and flavorful breakfast burrito with Chorizo but also with the wafer thin corn Tortilla that was used to wrap it together. Fast forward to 2021 Christmas Holiday parade in Paso Robles and guess where we went for breakfast, of course to Aliyah's Kitchen, where else!! Along with our last time's favorites, we also ordered the Pozole - a massive hit with all of us, and Al pastor taco plate - seconds were automatically ordered for this and Shrimp Ceviche, another favorite that we never found so fresh and enticing ever before. The best part is this that place is run by a sweet couple and their daughter - a complete family enterprise who are so humble n true and ready to do anything to make their customers happy. With their sincerity and commitment to service, the great and fresh Mexican cuisine prepared and served right in front of you, I see great future for this place. If you happen to be Paso Robles or Templeton, or just driving on 101 through here, you must come here for a wonderful and filling meal - breakfast lunch or dinner, after all they are open from 7 am to 9 pm all days! And while you are there do not miss the lightest and smoothest Flan that tastes like heaven !

Fantastic food! Great people to deal with. We used them for a Baptism Reception. The menu was Tacos: Carne Asada, Al Pastor, & Pollo. They had all the trimmings...Pineapple, Onion, Cilantro, Radishes, Red & Green Salsa. Rice & Beans. They supplied all the plates, napkins. They came to my house set up their planchetta and cooked everything their fresh and hot!!! Not premade... Not sitting in a hot box... In my opinion, if they do that good of a job for a catering job...you know they will have fantastic food at their restaurant. Try them and see.... I almost forgot...... They brought plenty of CHIPS & SALSA!!!!

Came here for the first time with my nephew who highly recommends it. It's a nice little family owned business. Everyone was friendly and they even turned on the heater for us since it was raining and cold (plus I like to watch the rain). In case anyone else cares they do not refry the beans in lard. That's plus for me. The portions are more than enough and at a reasonable price. Definitely coming back next time I feel like Mexican and cooking it myself. Also the owners niece makes the homemade dessert. read more

BEST BURRITO! I came to Aliyah's kitchen for a quick breakfast burrito on my way to home to Monterey. I couldn't get over how good the food is! Rarely do you find a spot where you get your burrito and the tortilla is warm and the contents inside are so fresh. I highly recommend the bacon breakfast burrito! It's not over stuffed with potato's and cheese the portions are perfect! I recommend trying both salsa's I also recommend adding onions, cilantro, and pico de gallo! I'm from Monterey where we are known for our seafood and restaurants and Aliyah's kitchen in Templeton knocks it out of the park!! Will definitely be stopping here during all my road trips :) read more

AMAZING. I got one salmon and one shrimp taco and my fiancé got asada, chicken, and chile verde tacos. My fiancé liked the asada best. My salmon taco was cooked perfectly and the shrimp was so tasty and fresh. The salsas that come with your meal are spicy and incredible. We will definitely be returning for more! read more

I've intended to write this review for weeks, but every time I come here I leave too plump and happy to do much other than bask in the glory of a food coma. The only thing I've gotten is a wet al pastor burrito with avocado - and I'm here to tell ya, the thing is both massive and delicious. Their salsa selection is also top notch: the red is rather spicy (just so, in a good way) and their green cilantro salsa is incredibly rich. Even tho the wet burritos are already smothered in a generous amount of salsa verde, I drench the thing even further. Mega yum. A family just bought the spot a couple months ago and completely revamped the menu. Everything looks spectacular, excited to start to branch out. Grateful to have such a quality Mexican restaurant in the middle of town, seeing myself becoming a regular rather quickly. read more

My family and I have been looking for great authentic mexican food in Templeton since our other favorite place is in Morro Bay. After hearing all the buzz about Aliyah's Kitchen, we gave it a try and were blown away by the great authentic mexican cooking! The carne asada nachos, carne asada burrito, and homemade salsas are SO yum! It's a small family owned, and operated business and they are all so friendly and kind. I'm so glad to have discovered this little hidden gem off Main St. in Templeton! read more

Aliyah's was a surprisingly great find! Tucked behind a liquor store, it is quite unassuming but amazingly good. There is a nice covered patio that simple but fine. You order at the window and buy your drinks in the liquor store but then you sit down to especially well-prepared and very tasty Mexican dishes. We ordered Chile Verde and Carnitas dinners, both excellent, served with rice and beans. Sounds like typical Mexican fare, but the flavors were high above the average. We will be sure to return. read more

Took my Wife to the coast and on the way back we wanted some good tacos. We ordered asada, lengua, Al pastor and tripas. Then decided to get a shrimp tacos and saw they had salmon tacos which was new to us. The owner was nice enough to let us try it for free. Everything was so good we were both very satisfied. Food was great, it is behind a small market,where you have to get your drinks for the grill area patio eating area, the selections were almost overwhelming, we enjoyed the shrimp ceviche, it was excellent, and took a grill chicken plate home for dinner. Even then it was still excellent. read more

Templeton is sitting on a gem! Got a sausage and one chorizo breakfast burrito and both were incredibly delicious. Both burritos were dense and heavy with cheese, potatoes, and meat; what more could you ask for?! The chorizo was spicy and flavorful while the sausage was obviously more mild but it like was eating a hearty breakfast in a wrap. Definitely going to bookmark this place. read more

Great food and nice people that work there. I have had the chorizo breakfast burrito, pastor burrito and the tacos with rice and beans. They have some of the best sauce. I always have to get two of the spicy red and two of the green sauce. So if you live in Templeton or are passing through I highly recommend you giving them a try. read more

Really wanted to try this place after reading the reviews, but it did not work out for us. Walked up to the counter and asked for a menu and the man pointed to the picnic tables and said you need to scan the QR code for a menu. I don't carry my phone around and even if I did, the menu would then be too small for my liking. Sorry, Aliyah, but we will not be back. My advice is to either print some menus or write them on the board. read more

I took a bite of the tamale. Yum. The menu stated ground beef but it was what I consider shredded beef. The beef was seasoned well, nice flavor. The sauce over the tamale was ah-mazing. Everyone had a story, even Joe...The story... Joe's parents, Ted and Esper, owned Lola's restaurant in Paso Robles. Joe had a thought in 1994 to open a great spoon diner serving up good eats to the community. Not just a thought, but realized goal. A year later Joe's Place opened in Paso Robles and in 2006 he moved to Templeton. In 2010, his parents retired and Joe re-opened Joe's Place in Paso Robles. Joe honors his parents by serving up the same chili verde recipe and fresh salsas. Awesome!

They were open and we were feeling a bit peckish and can always make room for a donut or two. So we made a U turn and off we went. The shop is on a corner lot with its own parking lot. Plenty of street parking as well. As we walked in , I quickly saw the glass counter full of picture perfect, colorful donuts sitting pretty waiting for us. These donuts were beautiful. No crinkling and buckling in the frosting. Donut frosting is tricky to get smooth. So many different types of donuts making it hard to decide. We ordered a couple of cake donuts (vanilla with pink frosting and chocolate on chocolate) and a raised chocolate glaze. Mmm. The raised donut was light and airy with the prefect slight yeasty chew. The chocolate glaze was awesome. I've eaten a lot of donuts in my lifetime, these are 5 stars. Besides donuts they serve other pastries; scones, danishes, croissants, and cookies. Breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches $8.95. Quiche ( whole $29.95 or slice $6.95). Local Steins bagels $4 toasted with cream cheese. There is no seating indoors. There were a few tables out on the lawn.We sat at one of the outside tables under the big ole shade tree. Leisurely eating our donuts taking a slow down and soaking in life.

Hands down the BEST Mexican food in the North County! We found Aliyah's Grill as we where looking for places that offered curbside pick up. This place is perfect because the outdoor window allows for easy pickup. We literally visit at least once a week! We make the drive from Heritage Ranch to Templeton just for the amazing food! Although we try to keep a low carb diet, we've sporadically ventured into other menu items and we are always satisfied by the taste! Al pastor tacos: Tasty and can't go wrong with this choice. They offer the perfect amount of grease and are generously filled with meat. The toppings are always fresh and include onions, cilantro, radishes and limes. I like to order a side of fresh guacamole with my order. We often opt for tacos without the tortilla and use low carb tortillas from home to build our own burritos. Flautas: I ordered the papa flautas (potato filled) and they did not disappoint! They were crunchy and topped with sour cream, fresh cheese, juicy tomatoes, crispy onions and lettuce. I would add jalapeños next time to add an extra kick as I love spicy food! Breakfast burritos: I tried the ham, potato, cheese one and it was oh so yummy! I wish I could have these every weekend morning! Of course I like to add jalapeños and ask for extra salsa. Nachos: The nachos are bomb! The chips are made in-house and are perfectly salted and crispy. They don't break when scooping the toppings either, which is an added bonus. Their pozole is also great and I'm excited to continue trying different menu items. I'm definitely a huge fan and am happy to stop by weekly. You can't go wrong with Alliyah's grill! read more
