They were assigned by my home warranty to fix my dishwasher and fridge. Even after almost 6 days after filing the claim, they still had not scheduled an appointment to come take a look at the dishwasher. Reached out multiple times via calls/text/email, and still just lies that they will call me back. I can't believe a company with this poor customer service is able to survive when there is so much competition in this business. They should really commit to get back to customers, it shouldn't take multiple calls and text, just to get a response. I support all other 1 star reviews for this business. read more

For your own good, try to avoid this company. We had a refrigerator to repair. A technician (Julio) came after 4 days, and couldn't fix the refrigerator. He promised to bring another technician, but nobody came. When we called him he told that he couldn't come and we have to call the office again to reschedule. I cannot even count how many times we called them, we talked with sales manager, and with Alyssa who promised to send somebody first thing tomorrow morning, but nobody came and nobody called back. Worst customer experience. Totally incompetent and unpunctual staff. Al and his partner are utterly incompetent, and have no clue on how to fix technical issues. Result? You'll get missed appointments, protracted delays and sloppy work. They're still trying to fix a microwave that we had a problem with and it's been 2 months and 6 days now. He keeps promising to keep it in "the next 3 days", but that day never comes. Frustrated with Comcast? Try All Appliance. I can see why this company draws such disparate reviews. When they come and see you, they are nice and pleasant. They also seem to be economical, as compared to rampant price-gouging in the Peninsula. I come down on the other side, sadly. Like many here, I was forced to use them by my home warranty company. All Appliance is bad at: (1) fixing things, (2) doing what they say they will do, (3) responding to your messages. Their approach seems to be to randomly pick some part to replace or jiggle, without trying to apply critical thinking or investigative skills. So, they "fix," then they come back to "fix" again, then come back to "fix" again. Of course they "earn" repeat business and a steady stream of service call charges this way. They could have truly fixed the first time, in which case you are happy and give them 5 stars. But if not... Look, no matter how nice someone is, they need to know how to do their jobs they advertise. If your dentist is really nice, but he keeps drilling the wrong tooth - would you consider patronizing them? I'll let others speak to how All Appliance never calls back, never follows up as they promise, always has an excuse, etc. I've wasted enough time in my life chasing them down. read more

These people are contracted by my insurance to do repairs on appliances. I just moved to Daly City and the oven in my Viking range isn't heating properly, so I called my insurance, who told me they'd be sending All Appliance over to fix it. After not hearing anything from All Appliance for ten days, I called them. The man who answered the phone didn't have a clue about who I was, and after I gave him the work order info, said he would call me back because he was on the phone to the insurance company. After he didn't call back in two hours, I called again. This time the fellow was clearly annoyed and told me he was working on a dryer and would call me when he was done. That was Friday afternoon. It is now Monday morning, and I haven't heard from them. I'm calling my insurance next, and hope they have a back-up contractor to send. I'm 64 years old and I have NEVER had someone tell me they would call me back and then not do it. Unbelievable! Update: Called the insurance, they called the contractor, and within half an hour the contractor called back and told me he was on his way. When he showed up about a half hour after that, he turned out to be a very nice man named Al, and he and his assistant, Sam, got to work on my oven. According to Al the oven needs new igniters, which he ordered and will return with at the end of the week. Meanwhile, he said one of the gas lines was clogged with spiderwebs, which he cleared out, and now the oven is at least heating up. It remains to be seen how well it reaches proper temperatures, and I will reserve further judgement until Al and Sam put in the igniters. They really need to work on their telephone skills, because dealing with them in person is a far more pleasant experience than talking with them on the phone! read more

I was so sorry and amazed to see the 1 star reviews of All Appliance. I have had Al come to my homes and place of business over a 15 year span no less than 10 times. Each time I have called, Al was able to come within a short period of time ( under 1 hour ) or the next day. Each time Al was able to fix the particular appliance in the one visit or he was honest enough to tell me that it would not be worth fixing. I appreciate that I can trust him and that there is a service available for "fixing" older appliances that imo are made much better than some of the new appliances. I like to think that when I give an appliance a few more years of life that I have kept it from being dumped into the landfill so soon. Thanks All Appliance for your great service! read more

This is my third time in about 8 years using All Appliance Service. They are honest, perform necessary repairs successfully and are less expensive than other companies such as Sears Home Service. However, this time, since I had 2 appliances in need of repair, I called Sears first thinking it might be a good idea to try them. The first appointment I could get with Sears was 3.5 weeks out and the minimum cost was going to be $99 for each appliance- at least $198 whether or not my appliances could be repaired. Therefore, I called All Appliance Service and Julio came out within 2 hours- their basic service call was only $60 for both appliances (not $198). Julio was very honest and trustworthy. He advised me that the display panel on the range could not be repaired as the part is no longer manufactured. He was able to service the washing machine by cleaning out the drain plug (he showed me how it was clogged which cut down on the cold water flow), re-balanced the feet to stabilize the machine. He also refit the dryer hose which was not properly secured and was leaking hot air into my home instead of venting all the air to the outside. He also showed me how to properly use one of the dials that I thought was broken. The total cost for his service was $140- money well spent! read more

I've used this company for several appliance repairs, such as clothes dryer, gas range and oven, dishwasher. They know what they are doing and have the replacement parts. Their rates are very reasonable ($45 for a service call, which they waive if they do repairs). They don't try to push for more work than is needed. They have been prompt and courteous. read more

An igniter on our cooktop fell into its hole during cleaning. My insurance company assigned All Appliance Service to fix the problem. Since the igniter's burner top is supposed to hold the igniter from falling into its hole, All Appliance Service ordered and brought a new burner top with igniter. The old igniter's burner had rusted screws which had to be drilled out. All Appliance Service carefully drilled out the screws without damaging the cooktop's glass surface. Since the glass surface could not be lifted so that the igniter's wire could be easily retrieved, All Appliance Service painstakingly found the igniter's wire through the cooktop's few holes and pulled the wire through its hole. Because of the rusted screws and the immobility of the glass surface, the task took longer than expected. But All Appliance Service persevered and now all of my burners are useable again. read more

I would give them 0, but I can't. First of all, I called in a problem for our tenant with a dishwasher and fridge that weren't working, a man answered the phone. I get a call from the tenant the next day saying they haven't heard from anyone, so I call them again. This time I get a female on the phone and she acts like this is the first they're hearing of my service call, then her and the man (i probably talked to the day before) start arguing in the background. I am then told in the future I should fax my requests in instead of calling them in. 2 weeks later I get a call from them saying ok, the dishwasher needs a new pump and motor and you need to replace the ice maker. I get a call from the tenant right after I hang up with the appliance service. She tells me that the repair man told her they were waiting for the go ahead to repair the appliances from us. I became very upset because that was a flat out lie. The repair man didn't bother to call us FOR TWO WEEKS. I guess the tenant had been calling non stop the whole time until they finally called us to get the go ahead TWO WEEKS LATER. Now the tenant thinks we've just ignored the issue the whole time. This is not the first time this has happened either. The professionalism is non existant at this company and I can't believe they're still in business. We will NEVER use them again. This business has 4 different phone numbers-343-2515,591-6262,577-0507,361-8434...don't call any of these numbers, it's all the same company. read more

PG&E came out to our flat after we had smelled gas in our laundry room. They inspected all of the valves and found that the leak was actually happening IN the dryer. They said it was somewhat rare, but showed us on the meter that when inserted into the dryer, the gas #'s tripled immediately. They recommended we call an appliance company. AASC agreed to come out on a Saturday which was great, but after the service tech worked on the dryer, he told our landlord that there was no gas leak and that he'd never heard of such a thing. He charged us $65 and left. After he left we ran a load of laundry and there were two brand new distinct loud sounds that weren't there before - a grinding that seems to emanate from the tumbling unit and then a high pitched squeak about every 3 seconds. When I called back to request that they send a tech to come fix this issue, they said that they didn't cause it and that it'd be another $65 for them to come out. It's not how you run a business. Poor customer service. read more

Had previously used this company for over 10years but will NEVER use or recommend them again. Two "technicians"came to repair a dishwasher hinge on my KitchenAid. They took the door apart and didn't tighten the screws resulting in leaking and the repair failed within 2 months. Was able to figure out the problem with the door screws and do a temporary fix. Another service recently repaired it back to new. The difference was that the unit was pulled out (no taking door apart/off unit). BOTH hinge assemblies were replaced and rebalanced-- at lesser cost! This company is off my list to use or recommend ! They seem to have different owners than in the past and poorly qualified techs. A definative NO. They deserve a zero star rating, but there is no option.......... read more

This is my first review as I am moved to inform others in my Burlingame community about the excellent service and expertise of Al and his assistant, Sam with respect to my refrigerators. My frig stopped working on a weekend when I had small slumber party at the house. A technician from Reliable came to the house a couple of days later and told me I would need a new compressor (he estimated $750.00) . I had a back-up frig in the garage and unfortunately that also had problems which he said he could fix a torn seal for $350.00. I started researching new models and sizes and the costs of replacement appeared to be in the thousands. Fortunately, my neighbor had worked with Al before and said he was very honest and to call him for a second opinion. He came over the next day and said I had a faulty component which he replaced on the spot and he fixed the seal on the back-up frig. The entire cost was $229.00 and he saved me thousands by fixing the units. I felt like one of those winners on Jeopardy!!! read more

I have never had a worse experience with customer service. My dryer stopped heating in Sept...still not working. They were assigned by my insurance company. They did come out fairly quickly and replace the thermostat. I paid the fee and he left. The next day it wasn't heating again. I called them and no response. I opened a claim resolution ticket with my insurance company. They had trouble contacting them. I tried and had trouble as well. Over the next couple months the "technician" (using that title loosely) replaced several parts a couple times which seemed the only way he knew how to "fix" it, but each time within a week...no heat. Each time it took longer and longer to get a hold of them and only got a hold of them a few times when they answered the phone. Most of the time they didn't answer and I left messages whenever I could because their voice mail boxes were full a lot and not accepting new messages. When I did get a hold of someone they never knew what was going on and said they had to call me back...which they NEVER did. The last service call when he, yet again, replaced the same parts, he told me if it stopped working again then he couldn't fix it and he would report that to my insurance company...because if he couldn't fix it then the insurance sends payment to me for a new dryer. Well, per the insurance company, All Appliance never submitted any paperwork, work orders, or submitted anything to them about my claim...therefore, I am back at square one starting the whole process from scratch with a different contractor. I do not recommend All Appliance. They know only how to replace certain parts but do not understand how to fix anything. They don't have a clue what customer service is. They are unresponsive and could care less. They are not worth your precious time or your hard earned money! read more

I had a great experience with Al and his team yesterday. We were assigned to them through our home warranty and at first I was worried from all the reviews. But it was quite the opposite. Al contacted within an hour of our file and he was straight forward that he didn't have the parts needed to repair our oven and stove, but that he would call first thing in the morning once he got the part. The coil had burned through and created a short so my range was not working and ge needed the the coil. Sure enough, Julio, the technician called at 8:30 saying he was on his way. Unfortunately, I was not home at the time since they didn't give me a specific time of when they would be over. Instead of brushing me off, he asked me when I would be home and would try to come back or squeeze me in between jobs. I told him I would be home by 9:30. Right on the dot, he texted me saying he was available between 10 and 1 and showed up at 10:30. He fixed the problem, but a secondary arose from the initial problem. Julio said he needed to run out to get the other part, but couldn't promise to get back the same day, but would once again try to come back between jobs. Since my oven and 3 stoves were working, i wasn't pressed for him to come back immediately. However, an hour later, he said he got done early at another job and had an hour to come back and fix the last part. I was so happy that I got my oven and stove back up working and that Julio put the extra effort to get my stove completely working between his jobs. read more

Don't use this company. Scheduled an appointment for Thursday morning to evaluate leaking Fisher and Paykel dish-drawer. Repair person did not show. Called office, got lame excuse that the technician ran out of time (but didn't bother to call). Rescheduled for Friday . Technician came to house late in the morning on Friday. Technician was taken aback because I had removed the dish-drawer from its enclosure. Technician promised to write a report that would be sent to the manufacturer describing what he observed. Called them this morning. It turns out that the "office" person that I have been scheduling the appointments with is also the technician that visited my house. The number (650-343-2515) is his cell phone that he answers while driving around the area. No wonder he missed the original appointment. Very unprofessional. During the conversation this morning, he became rude and hostile; made numerous false allegations (i.e. that I had thrown him out of the house, refused to pay, ...). This company has no business being in business. Please don't patronize them. read more
