Told us that to order the parts we would have to prepay $2.5k that would be refunded once they submitted them under the warranty. They then refunded a measly $600 and ceased all communication when we followed up 100x about the remainder of the balance. We are disputing the charges and they're now completely lying to our credit card company about everything they told us. They refused to put anything in writing because this is clearly their scheme. Do not do business with this company. We are now having to file in small claims and BBB.

I said I was frustrated that I spent my day, and they didn't honor the appointment, they said to find someone else, they weren't interested. Also - they list with Space-Pak as factory / registered service, but that they DO NOT service any existing installs, would only install new complete systems. If you are looking for consistency, follow through or service, I'd suggest elsewhere.

Then proceeds to draft an estimate for a nitrogen pressurized test and a full refrigerant refill. I would have had no issues paying for the test if the technician proved my refrigerant was low/empty and confirmed evidence of a leak. Essentially this company wanted me to pay $1200+ worth of tests/refrigerant without any real discernible proof that a leak was actually my problem or if my refrigerant was low/empty. Also the technician came off a bit defensive which made very suspicions of his honesty regarding the work. This service call felt more like a sales pitch an actual diagnostic exam of my issue. Originally I had high hopes for this company and found it very appealing that they are a family owned business. However they seem to operate more like they are owned by an private equity firm that wants to extract as much cash out of me before they actually fix the problem. I'm very disappointing and would not recommend.

The day before Thanksgiving we realized the external pipe was broken and at this point I was $$$$ in on plumbing issues. John really tried everything to fix that pipe without calling an excavator. His team worked all day in the rain, in November, to hand dig that pipe out - only to realize it was 10 ft down and was going to carry a 5 figure price tag!!!!! I agreed to Johns quote and then he went to the township and got them to contribute money!! He didn't have to do that - and he didn't have to tell me that he did that, he could have pocketed it. I'm a single mom of 4 - brand new homeowner and he really went above and beyond for me, even letting me have a payment plan. Thanks Pafumi! You're this house's plumber 4 life! Other than the outdoor pipe, Pafumi has replaced stolen copper pipes twice, fixed toilets, sinks, disposal, leaking second floor tub, fixed the boiler, installed a stolen water meter and ran pipes along with a thermostat to hook up heat to radiators on the third floor that had been disconnected by the previous homeowner.

I called several places, but Alex was the first to respond. Over the coming days, as the callbacks came in, I was told that I'd need to schedule a consultation. In contrast, Alex asked if he could stop by that day or the next. Due to a hectic schedule, I asked a friend to be at the house. Alex was very flexible to coordinate with my stand-in. While I was away, knowing I was unable to talk, Alex texted me pictures of the problem and let me know he'd return shortly (something had frozen solid, so it needed t thaw). When he was done, he texted me that the unit was not leveled properly, and it would probably become a problem in the future. I opted not to have it fixed at that time. My bad. Jump ahead to this year... The AC stopped working again this summer. I called Alex on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, and he got right back to me, offering to come Monday (Memorial Day) morning. Again, I scheduled for a stand in, and Alex made himself available right away. He observed something simple and fixed it right away. He also did a full system check up to make sure all levels were fine and everything was working properly. A few weeks later, there was a completely different problem. It related to the system sitting off-kilter. At this point, he offered a fairly expensive fix, but he said it may work or it may be more of a band aid, as the system will need to be replaced in the coming years anyway because 1) it's run its course, and 2) the type of system will become obsolete in 2020. I was skeptical, so I called my brother who is a contractor in Central PA and has a good HVAC guy. That HVAC guy does work all over the east coast, so he'd have some sense of what's what in Philadelphia. He gave some numbers and ideas, and said that Alex was spot-on with his estimate and the info about the system being obsolete in 2020. Alex was all booked up for the week, so he offered to make the quick fix Monday morning at no cost to hold the system over until he was available the following week to replace the unit. Due to a cancelation, he was able to come today. In addition to the normal work, he had to remove a banister to get the unit to the basement, then he found some 60 gallons of water had condensed and filled some part of the unit, and then he built up an area to make sure the new unit was balanced. He did so much extra work, and then he cleaned it all up. AND THEN, because I was at work, he was able to stop by my workplace on his way home for me to pay him. Really incredible work, incredible availability, and incredible communication. And my brother's guy said he was surprised that the price was as low as it was for being in the city. I expect Alex will get too busy for all of that in the near future, but he's my go to now, and I know I can trust him. Further, he's just really nice. I have enjoyed our communication, and I'm really happy to direct business his way.
