The fish was perfectly crispy and fresh! Service was quick and super friendly. Great value for the portion size.

Aloha BBQ is a convenient spot for a quick meal. I was in the area for Safeway and decided to check it out, especially to see if the loco moco was any good. It was your typical takeout-style version that gets the job done. The gravy was very salty and watery, so I was glad it came on the side and not on top. The eggs were cooked to my preference and the patties tasted like standard frozen beef. They give a generous portion of rice, though the macaroni salad was a bit too mushy for me. The food came out fast and the staff were efficient, which made the visit smooth. There was plenty of seating inside and everything looked clean and well kept. Parking is mostly on the street but there is a Safeway lot right across if needed. If you are in the area and want something filling without much of a wait, this place is a solid option.

Got some food here before my haircut. It's a pretty straightforward setup, walk up, order, then wait for your food to come out. It was pretty sparse inside because most people do takeout or do DoorDash from here. Oh, they also take credit cards so that's a plus! The food itself is pretty good. I got the Atkins mini and my friend got the Hawaiian bbq chicken. Chicken was tender, flavorful, and juicy! It's the standard rice and the Macaroni salad was the generic stuff that other Hawaiian places serve. Overall it's a pretty good place and I hope to be here more often!

Curry chicken wings were VERY salty and like a previous review there was no curry taste! Just salty!

3.5 stars I got the chicken katsu mini and spam musubi trio. I'm not giving it 4 stars because the katsu sauce was runny or watered down, which changes the taste and experience a bit.

3.5 STARS We wanted Hawaiian food. Decided to try Aloha BBQ since we found it on DoorDash. We place our lunch delivery order on Sunday, June 21st 2:08pm. It arrived at 2:57pm. We live in Outer Richmond. *BBQ Mix Plate: Barbecue beef, short ribs, and chicken, Macaroni Salad ($14.75) *Loco Moco: Hamburger patties over rice covered with brown gravy and topped with eggs, Regular, Macaroni Salad, White Rice, Medium ($12.95) *Kalua Pork: Regular, Macaroni Salad, White Rice ($12.95) *Grilled Spam Musubi: Trio ($7.80) *Cheeseburger: Single, Medium ($5.85) *Macaroni Salad ($3.55) I always end up ordering a mix plate since I love both beef and chicken. This one was pretty good. A nice smokiness to the meats. Also, portion wise, a good amount of rice and chicken. I was also craving a loco moco, so decided to try it here. The burger patty was really dry and chewy. And the gravy didn't have much flavor. It was disappointing. But I did enjoy the spam musubi. Just squeeze some sriracha on it and I'm set! Good for their bbq plates and musubi, but I'd stay away from the loco moco. Not enough flavor and the meat was tough!

I found a black dot on my Katsu. I thought it was a burnt piece of meat, good thing I checked it was a fly.. I ordered 4 things through Uber Eat. I am throwing everything away. Good thing I didn't feed my son. The other person found a screw in his food. This is such a careless mistake. It's not even a tiny fruit fly, sometimes they can jump into a cook food however this one is battered with Katsu together. They must don't cover the batter mix.

Does not look like much driving by but we were craving Hawaiian bbq after our long day out. Reviews caught our attention and we decided to give it a try. The menu has a wide variety of options. I'm not a big fan of huge menus as it usually means that some of the dishes are sure to be questionable. My suspicions were correct with the shrimp simirin, it was basically instant noodles with 4 small shrimps which was quite disappointing. The spam misubi combo redeemed the meal. I'm probably unlikely to revisit.

ATTENTION! *RUSTY SCREW* FOUND IN THE FOOD. I don't typically give a shit about crappy food or crappy service but THERE WAS A SCREW IN THE FOOD. We're currently on the phone with the store and the manager isn't in. Saying we'll get a call tomorrow. Fuck that, you guys have to contact your manager on their off time and resolve this shit. You see those pictures????? Holy fuck Not to mention, the Loco Moco I ordered is garbage. The patty is really hard and feels stale.

Tried this spot because of the good reviews. But if you have been to Hawaii, I can't recommend this…read morespot because the flavors did not remind me of Hawaii at all. Also, nothing is served with mac salad... The prices are pretty decent for SF. Maybe that's why this place is popular. They are takeout only and have one bench outside for you to eat at if it's free. Tried the garlic shrimp, the moco loco (idk why they swap the words), and the furikake chicken. Also had a spam musubi (when I ordered online for pick up, I couldn't add egg which is usually an option according to the Toast website). The garlic shrimp was missing a flavor that Hawaii has in their garlic shrimp. The color was very red but it was not spicy. They do have an option to make it spicy though. It was bland to me compared to what I'm used to when I visit Hawaii. The moco loco gravy was good, but the beef patty tasted dry and overcooked. They did have a runny egg too but it was oddly underneath the patties, so we broke the eggs while trying to split the beef amongst 3 people. The furikake chicken is probably better if you eat it right away since it's lightly breaded. We took it home so by the time we ate it, it was soggy. The sauce it is cooked in is a little sweet and wasn't too bad. The soggy chicken ruined the texture for me though. Each dish was served with a little bit of cabbage which I liked to get a little greens in the meals. The spam musubi didn't taste like it had any sauce, and they used so much furikake underneath the spam, that it made it taste fishy. Would not recommend. I can't comment on the service much since I ordered online for pickup. The guy who handed me my food after asking my name was nice and polite though. The only reason I'd come back is to try to the shave ice. The group in front of me got 3 for their kids, and it looked tasty. I would not come back for the food, but at least the prices aren't bad for SF standards.

This was our view from the bar and it served as the backdrop to our entire dining experience. We had been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time, and after finally making it in, we left wondering why we had waited so long. Everything on the menu sounded really appetizing, which made it difficult to narrow it down and choose. Thankfully, to help first timers like us, the Tasting Menu offered a curated selection of items from each section on the menu. First things first... the cocktails. I ordered a Fhloston Paradise, a perfect blend of kõ hana agricole rum, coconut liqueur, falernum, lime and absinthe; just enough sweetness for my palate. It was appreciated with every sip, but went down more smoothly than expected and I was already eyeing my next drink. Having a husband that loves watching me enjoy life was the first to suggest another drink. Sitting at the bar (our favorite place to sit btw), was the second encourager as the drinks were made right in front of me. One caught my eye... BUT... it was a mocktail. Not a worry in my mind as I asked our wonderful bartender if he could make it an "un-mocktail". So... the "Bittersweet Life" turned into a rum filled "Sweet Life"! He painstakingly made every effort to make sure my drink came out perfect, exactly how I like it... sweet. Bravo to your attention to detail! One word to describe our dining experience here is "fragrant". From the aromatic bouquet of the cocktails to the enticing scents rising from each beautifully plated dish, every course engaged the senses before the first sip or bite was even taken. Our Tasting Menu included these items: *Tuna poke *Caviar Taro Puff *Duck Liver Mousse *Pig Head Croquette *Halibut Sashimi *Gulf shrimp *Local black cod *Daikon cake (not on the printed menu) *American Wagyu Zabuton *Sesame cracker (not on the menu) *Baked Hawaii (not on the menu) We enjoyed our evening so much that we're already looking forward to returning. With so many enticing dishes still left to explore, this certainly won't be our last visit.

Like, when you can't even wait to get home, you have to eat it immediately while it's hot. I knew right then it had to be worth trying. I asked where he got it, and he pointed me to a spot just down the street (not to be confused with the other Hawaiian BBQ place close by called Aloha). I pass this place all the time, but the parking is terrible, so I usually just keep driving. Yesterday I happened to be on foot and finally stopped in. I noticed a PASS inspection sticker in the window (isn't it usually an A? I'll Google that later). It's strictly a food shop. No tables, no décor, nothing fancy. Just a big menu on the wall type of place. The menu is simple about 4-5 meat options and a few sides, and you build your combo. I ordered a small plate since I tend to overeat and appreciated that option. I got the chicken katsu with rice and mac salad and it was perfectly portioned. The chicken was great. No notes. The steamed rice was just a little overcooked but still tasty. The mac salad was decent, though I expected a bit more from what seemed like an authentic spot. Oh and of course, the sauce, so good. My only complaint is they need to pack two sauces in the to go bag, not one. Total came to $10.85, which feels like a steal. It completely satisfied me and definitely beats driving all the way to Chipotle (my usual lunch stop) and spending $15-$18. No photo because I was too hungry and ate it in the car. I'm excited to bring my husband back and see what he thinks.

I mean, carrots and tortilla strips are definitely interesting choices for a poke bowl. The portion was relatively small for what you pay. The amount of avocado given was just sad. You also aren't able to make adjustments to add other things to the bowl - you're stuck with what is set in the description.
