This is the bomb ! The food is super Fresh and the price is just right ! Great service , very small inside . The bbq beef is so tender and has a great flavor . The Mac is also on point . The katsu chicken is very crunchy all in all a good spot to come to . I'm definitely coming back .

Crazy Find! Found a Hawaiian spot in Buena Park, CA that got me in the door with $2 Grilled Chicken Skewers. With Aloha's teriyaki sauce, I'm in love and it's soooo good. But wait a minute, I ordered Aloha Hawaiian BBQ. The pricing fits into my budget !!! Portions alone, I felt it was double/triple meat compared to what I normally get . I was speechless and the taste and flavor, was exactly the same as other popular spots. The teriyaki sauce from the pumps were the same!!! I will be here on repeat! I am crazy thrilled that Aloha is now located in Buena Park, in the same parking lot as Northgate Market. Recommend 10/10. Our lunch order: - BBQ Chicken & Katsu $16.52 - BBQ Mix: Chicken, Beef & Galbi $17.56 - Musubi (2) & Chicken Skewers (3) $10.35 Extra Chicken Skewers are $2

Welcome to the neighborhood, Aloha Hawaiian BBQ! I dropped by the new location of this business near Northgate Market and had a delicious lunch. The menu offers classic Hawaiian meals from mini to large plates, as well as side dishes. From the $10 Meal menu, I ordered the Chicken Katsu, which came with macaroni salad and rice. The meal was freshly made, hot, and crispy. The portions of the katsu were generous for the price. I also ordered Spam Musubi for five bucks for two pieces. The Spam to rice ratio was a little off, with more rice than Spam, yet it was tasty and filling. The chicken skewer was juicy and tender, good flavors, but could have used a little more char on the outside. Fountain drinks are available and currently free with an order during the grand opening. The service was friendly and the dining area was clean and tidy. There are about five tables inside, but no patio seating. Giving this initial visit a five-star rating and looking forward to coming back!

    Overly marinaded beef

Not good! I hate leaving bad reviews and I usually give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but this place is just bad. Ordered 2 meals; 1) Teri Beef plate and 2) Teri Chicken Sticks bowl. The beef was tough and tasted like it was marinaded for days. Such a strong flavor that overwhelmed my taste buds and I couldn't enjoy my meal. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor. Which surprised me after tasting the overly marinaded beef. With Matiki's right up the steet along with The Loft, skip this place and enjoy a good meal elsewhere.

You can't go wrong with Hawaiian BBQ. What really makes Aloha BBQ stand out is the generous portions of protein! I thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ chicken and the skewers. The beef was soft and tender. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

I'd never been there before, so this review is all about first impressions. As we approached, the sign caught my attention: "Under New Ownership." Outside, an employee sat scrolling on his phone. It was a quiet Sunday around 3 PM, and we were the only patrons in sight. Checking Yelp beforehand had been a bit of a letdown, as their menu featured items they no longer offer. No links were available either. We ordered half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, and four pieces of cornbread--all priced reasonably. Their tap selection turned out to be decent. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average. While it's clear they've got potential, a bit more effort could turn Wholly Smokes into a go-to spot. Leaning in on those small details would really elevate the experience.

We had the sirloin steak and the bone-in rib eye. They were both great. The server did a great job of cooking the meat perfectly. My wife and I both thought the kimchi was fantastic -- and, other than the quality of the meat, the quantity of the kimchi is really let. We also ordered the egg stew and kimchi stew. But since I moved out of LA, it's so inconvenient to get to. Enter Kyung Bok Kung -- what a find. I can get a fine dining korean bbq experience conveniently. I've been here a number of times, and this review reflects the few times I've been there. It's become the goto spot to take people from out of town who are visiting and want a Kbbq experience. Things I immediately noticed - lots of white and grey teslas in the parking lot during lunch - you know what that means? Golf Koreans. Yup. Go inside and you'll see incredibly well dressed older retired people with their buddies chatting up in private cubicles. Beautiful decor. It's like the background setting of a korean drama where there's a close-up of the guy and the girl - they're about to say something really serious to each other. The camera does a wide angle shot of them - and this is the restaurant it's shot in. Price points - this place isn't cheap, but they have incredibly good deals on a weekday lunch (cold noodles and meat set). Their dinner set course meals are priced around what you would expect from a quality steak house. This place is not as pricey as AB steak or Cote, but you're getting just as quality. Food - I've had the lunch set meals, the bbq grilled course, and ordered à la carte. One thing is for sure - they don't miss. I never had a 9 budda plate until I came here, but apparently it's like a thing that royals ate during the monarchy days. It was like a korean vegetarian taco. Very intricate (and slightly annoying) to put together but delicious - and a great test of your chopstick skills. Their braised beef (galbijjim) from their lunch set intersects savory, sweet, and tenderness in a way that only Korean grandmas do. I'm not a huge fan of Wagyu beef (just too rich and can never feel after eating it), but I have never felt that way coming out of here. Go here at night if you want to impress someone or celebrate something. Go here during lunch if you want a fantastic meal and want to see what the best korean food can taste like but don't want to break the bank.

Regular menu at $24 and they handed us our QRCode. We ordered the meat on our phone so I got to order as much as I want without a time limit. I think the poor cheek was too thick, hard to cook and cut. Sirloin was ok, also hard to cut. Curry pork belly was new to us, it did burn the grill more than bulgogi. The servers are usually there for drinks, handing out meat, and if there are questions you have. But there's a %10 service charge added to every check and it is not gratuity! So make sure to tip on top of that total. Ice cream looked good but I didn't have any. What's worse is I didn't realize they had oranges and jello near the front! It being our first time here, I wasn't sure exactly how their system works but apoun entering we stood by the computers and pos systems for a lil bit, it was loud and crowded and there wasn't a lot of free chairs. But we didn't mind. We were asked how much is our party and were told by the waitress that we can sit wherever we want. We sit in an empty booth and she then comes over to us and tell us we can't sit there.... Oh veh & then proceeds to put us in these horrible tiny seats in front of the walkway of the bathroom with a great view of all the kitchen hallway. We ordered our food and everything was fabulous. Towards the end of our meal my friend says "damn that waitress hates her job, she didn't check in on us one time" it was true. I had to flag her down to bother her for more napkins. Not once did she check in on how everything was or asked us if we needed anything. We asked for some to go boxes and she didn't even have the courtesy to pack it up for us. I did it myself.. to charge a 14.90 service fee and not offer any services is DIABOLICAL. Our bill was close to 170$ and my friend even tipped in cash like 30$ just as a olive branch because maybe she was having a bad day or whatever but the tall waitress with the beautiful curly hair that took the bill had significantly kinder energy and in the short interaction with her I wish she would have been our waitress. ..As we're leaving I look at the table where she moved us from and there's is this nice couple just vibing there.. like damn ok I see how Yall are... shame cuz this place really had the potential to be a vibe... but whatever what you give you get! The baby back ribs were tender and flavorful, the burnt ends were smoky and juicy, the crispy pork belly had an amazing crunch with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, and the traditionally smoked brisket was incredibly moist and perfectly smoked.
