Katsu burger was very dank. Staff was COVID safe and super nice but food was very very dank. 10/10 will be back.

The mac salad and the rice were on point, and the lady at the counter was very nice, but I was sadly disappointed in the kalua pig. While the flavor was all right (a little too salty, but not terribly so) and the pork was juicy, it was also very oily. There were puddles of oil pooled on the cabbage, which made the cabbage pretty unappealing. I know that some people think of the cabbage just as a nice nest to put the pork on, but as someone who usually really likes cabbage, I was a bit bummed. A friend got the spam musubi, and I think it was the biggest spam musubi I have seen in my life. I can't speak to how it tasted, but its mass was impressive. read more

I had a friend bring me food from here, so I cannot speak to the actual experience of ordering and eating there. However, the food itself was delicious. I ordered a teriyaki combo with both chicken and short ribs and it was very tasty. While it was a little pricy for lunch, the portions were very generous and I ended up making two meals out of it. read more

Lady behind the counter was rude. We have eaten there before, but not again. I had walked to the end of the corridor and bought a milkshake from another vender. My wife was sitting outside Aloha Plates eating Asian food. The milkshake was too thick for the straw, so I went up to the Aloha Plates counter and asked for a plastic spoon. The employee picked a a plastic spoon, then put it back in place. She said "Why don't you go back to where you bought that and ask them for a spoon." I thanked her for her "kindness," and left. She permanently lost customers and didn't even know it or care. We will not return. read more

Best place to get kalua pig, the k&k combo (kalua pick and chicken katsu) or a loco moco in the International District. People may say that Marination Station has better "Hawaiian" food, but that's a food truck that comes by once a week and is a fusion which I will add a review about later. Anyhow, I dont ever order the teriyaki stuff so I cant speak to it, but the 3 dishes I do order above are very good. I usually only go for lunch since it's right across the street from my office and surprisingly the waits aren't long. I want to say I go there once or twice every 2 weeks which is a lot for me since I usually take food from home. read more

Decent food at decent prices. It's pretty much what you'd expect to get at a food court cafeteria. I had the kalua pork and chicken katsu (added a fried egg for fun) with a side of kim chi. The kalua pork was surprisingly tender and moist. The chicken katsu wasn't anything memorable. I could have done without the soggy kim chi. But all in all it wasn't bad and didn't make me regret it after wards. read more

We tried Aloha Plates because the boss was ordering lunch, and Meals 2 Go will pick up from here, and displaced kama`aina are pretty much always interested in trying another plate lunch place. I can find pretty much all the plate lunch goodies I want from other places near and dear to my heart, so I went for the only thing that no place in Seattle manages to get right: the kalua pig. It's the best I've had thusfar away from home, and that includes anything I can get from the poser L&L in Lynnwood. I visited in person the next time we were at Uwajimaya and suddenly understood why this place gets so many negative reviews. The rest of the food looks incredibly unappetizing, sitting under heat lamps in cafeteria-style bins, and the staff is beyond incompetent: the woman who took my order understood not a single word I said to her. I work in the ID and go to Aloha Plates every 3-5 weeks. The lady behind the counter is super friendly and always makes you feel welcomed. I always like their Kuala Pork and Chicken Katsu dishes. I decided to try something different this time and really liked it. I tried their tacos and got 4 of them (only $2 each), 2 with Kuala Pork and 2 with Chicken Katsu. I was surprised (never had tacos at a Hawaiian place before) at how tasty they were. It is definitely a good add on to a main dish or good just by itself. read more

Ugh. This place is terrible. Calling it Hawaiian food is an insult to both food, and the Hawaiian culture. Had my usual bbq beef and mac salad. Both were practically inedible (but being the hungry guy that I am, I somehow forced it down). My colon paid for finishing my meal. I've been here once. No desire to return. It is located in the Uwajimaya complex, so there is parking in their pay lot. You might also find street parking, but being in the heart of the international district makes it difficult. read more

I don't normally eat at the Uwajimaya food court, for good reason. But last Sunday, I was just too lazy to head out of Uwajimaya while grocery-shopping there. I decided to order the Kalua pig plate lunch. The pork had the texture of Kalua pig but it lacks any smokiness one typically associates with it. I am guessing they did not use liquid smoke when they were preparing the Kalua pig. The macaroni salad was just so so. I had much better Hawaiian food elsewhere in Seattle. read more

I get cravings for this place! A friend turned me onto this place and Ive been coming here for a couple years. I always order 1) the K&K combo or 2) Kahlua Pork plate. You get your choice of green salad or macaroni and brown rice or white rice. Both plates come with steamed cabbage. Omg so yummy and enough food for the whole day or tomorrows lunch. The service is always fast and friendly, its almost always the same smiling face taking your order. They have their own seating area if you dont want to sit out in the regular food court. I am a regular at this place. I always order the same plate everytime I'm here. I always thought the customer service was great, until today. Today I ordered my usual kalua pork and chicken katsu combo. When I took my first bite of the kalua pork I thought it tasted sour. I thought it was just me until i had the cabbage that comes with the kalua pork. It had a strong distinct sour/overdue taste to it. I was hesitating whether to return to the shop to let them know because it felt like such a hassle. I thought maybe I'll just suck it up. Eventually I decided to return to the store because in case other customers may end up with the bad batch of kalua pork like me. When I approach the lady (who is usually very friendly) to let her know about the spoiled kalua pork her initial response was "that's impossible" and started questioning as if I am lying instead of simply saying "I'm sorry let me re do it for you." She even said "it looks like you ate a lot of the kalua pork already, maybe you got the tonkatsu sauce mixed into the pork so that's why its sour." The only reason it looked like I had eaten the pork was because my wife and I test taste it to make sure it was bad before I had to go back in to let them know. If I had known I would have brought in the trash bag to show her we didn't swallow any of it! She even had the customers standing nearby test tasting the kalua pork to justify her point. She rudely offered to refund me or a new portion of kalua pork. I said I wanted the whole order to be re done because the pork already cross contaminated with the katsu. She angrily made the new portion for me. I took the new portion and tried it. It was completely different from the initial kalua pork we got. The cabbage was more green fresh looking and the pork was not dark. It didnt have a sour taste and tasted new. I'm pretty sure they gave us an old batch initially. I am very unsatisfied with my experience here that I will not be coming back. I came to support a small business, but instead I was treated like a con artist trying to get extra food. read more

i reeeeally wanted to like it since its so close to work. went back a few times and tried different things. everything was lackluster. the food is on the bland side. the last dish i tried was the moco loco, which was horrid. the gravy was completely unseasoned and the egg had runny egg whites, which really grosses me out. if you try the place, please take heed--DO NOT DRINK THEIR WATER. its really...really nasty. ugh. i hate leaving bad reviews, but i was completely unimpressed by this place. read more

When you're trying to recover from an hour of shopping the shelves at Uwajimaya, there's only one thing left to do. Head over to the food court. Aloha Plates always has Keahiwai blaring out of it's radio, so I get suckered into buying my meal from there each time. I usually go for something easy--some portuguese sausage, eggs, rice. And I always make sure to grab a deep-fried banana. They are so scrumptious--they have some sort of black sesame seed/coconut surrounding that is just perfect with the banana. (however, it is good to note that they come in parcels of three, so be hungry or ready to share). It is what it is..fast food, with some catchy tunes to chew by. read more

Came here before a Sounder's game since this would be way better and cheaper than stadium food. I ordered three pulled pork dinner combos. It came with a scoop of rice, a generous portion of pulled pork, and some potato salad. Overall it was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. If the pork had flavor, I would give it another star. Good prices for tasty hawaiian comfort food.The ubiquitous mac salad side is quite tasty. Look, you don't get this type of food if you're looking for something light and "healthy." Instead, this is a great option for tasty and filling food at a decent price. Plus, I'm such a sucker for the Katsu Burger. My beloved chicken (or pork) katsu strips on the squishy white bread bun with crisp iceberg lettuce and tomato and a tangy sauce. *drool* I often see police officers ordering from this place in the food court, too, and I take that as a good endorsement. If you see police or firefighters eating there, it generally means it's yummy, cheap, and a good value. read more

It's a convenient location and your meal pays for parking validation but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. I'm disappointed and hope they step it up. This is my favorite place in the Uwajimaya food court. It is not the best Hawaiian place that I been to but, it is very good. I usually get the Katsu chickenand Kahlua pork combo with Mac Salad and rice. The Mac salad is very good and the Katsu is the perfect crispness. Very filling! However my favorite thing is the fried banana though . It is so deadly but with the coconut crust on top. I can eat only eat 1 but, I always order 3. read more
