It was an amazing experience - we all loved it and will definately be making it a monthly visit. The spa is clean and the rooms are beautifully decorated with crystals and stones. I need to come back next time for an exfoliation! Today I came in just to use the saunas and hot tub. There is a hot tub and also a cold tub. There are 3 saunas in there too. It's definitely an experience coming here because everyone who works here doesn't speak much English but eventually you figure it out because there are signs posted on what to do. When you check in at front desk they give you a locker key with a number on it. You place your belongings in the locker number that the keys says. Afterwards you need to shower before entering into the hot or cold tubs and saunas. Everyone is naked here and it was a lil strange but it's all females spa so it wasn't so bad after a while. I initially walked in with my bikini and then got scoldings that I need to take it off lol before coming into the hot tub. The hot tub felt amazing! It really relaxed all my achey muscles. I went in to the clay sauna for about 10 mins and it was awesome then back in the hot tub! Great place to relax! They also sell snacks and water bottles here and some Korean meals too like cold noodles and rice drinks that will be very refreshing after being in the sauna! There's also a dressing room here as well for equipped with blow dryers and hair brushes and mirrors for you to get ready after sauna and shower before you leave. read more

Went to the Aloha Day Spa last week and have to say it was just the best! I had the Aloha Special Service which was fantastic value for money and if I lived there I'd be going regularly. I was scrubbed to within an inch of my life but it felt so good and I felt so clean. The lady who did the scrubbing and the massage was not big but had amazing strength. All the knots in my shoulders and neck were pummeled away. The cucumber facial was cold but refreshing! Then to top it all off the hair wash resulted in a good scrub and massage to the head - great! If you go, remember to go early so you can enjoy the hot tub and sauna, not recommended to use the cold tub if going in for a scrub. Afterwards you cannot use any if you've had an oil massage. read more

I had such a delightful, soothing experience here. Friendly smiles welcomed me at the entrance as I was offered a drink. I received a gift card to this spa on my birthday for a facial and massage, but after looking over the services menu I wanted to do some tweeking to my services. The staff were very accommodating to my request! I got full spa package... ladies, treat yourself and do it, you'll leave feeling like a brand new person. My favorite part was how soft my skin felt after the full-body scrub... add the hour long full-body massage and I was in pure bliss. Heads up though, the spa is for females only, so everyone besides staff is nearly naked. The body scrub/massage tables are close to one another so those who are looking for a more private experience may want to go somewhere else. This was a first class experience by far! Nothing but quality people doing quality work. I'll definitely come back here in the future. How to share photos of a spa when people are walking around naked! Lol! Ok so no photos.....unassuming store front with just a few parking stalls out front and on the side. ( this place is next to a very popular Korean restaurant and strip joint) so it's busy in the evenings! Enter the door and all the stress of the day starts to peel off--layer by layer as they scrub every tiny part of your body. Places you forgot about even!! Usually have a shower first and relax in the salt sauna and steam rooms....then to the hot water whirlpool. Being uptight Americans who are a bit squeamish about being nude in front of strangers, you realize pretty quickly that no one is paying attention.....freedom. The ladies in the massage room do a very effective and thorough body scrub and massage slathering you with coconut oil, lotion and exfoliating beads. Massaged from your head to your feet and everywhere in between. You leave with buttery soft skin and completely relaxed. Love this place! read more

Best Spa Value Ever. For 120 a person I scheduled myself and my 3 best friends appointments. It has become a birthday ritual now among us! Let me start by saying I'm kind of modest. But when you get in this place nobody cares and the women are all minding their own business. You will be addicted. I think o need to go once a month Basically when you get there they give you a locker key where you put all your valuables and clothing. They provide a clean white robe and a hand towel. There is cold water to drink and a little Korean snack bar. I went without time for breakfast and the lady made me a boiled egg to tide me over. You walk in to the spa section and there is a large shower area with 3 semi private showers and 3 open showers. After showering it's time to soften up your skin before they scrub it all off. There's a large very hot jacuzzi and an equal size cold plunge pool. There's a steam room with walls lined with semi previous gemstones and crystals. There are 2 saunas. One has walls lined with Himalayan salt bricks and the other clay. You can feel the salt drawing out whatever from your skin! Basically you go from shower to alternating hot cold steam sauna until a Korean grandma in a black granny bra and panty calls your number. There's a huge shower room with four tables and you lay on one and the get started!! They dump buckets of warm water over your body and then with loofah mits they scrub every inch of you twice over. You see your dead skin on the table and wish you had done this 20 yrs ago. After the scrub the wash you down wash your hair and put cold cucumber purée on your face. The massage is the bomb. Not exactly sure what oil they use but it's good stuff. Not baby oil like the other Korean spa in town. When your all done you can do a few more steams and saunas. Shower. And that's it. Time for lunch and a cocktail!! Mrs. Kim is the best one for the massage. Aloha!! read more

my friend and i have been wanting to try a korean spa for a while, but we didnt know which one to choose. although lori i only gave this place 3 stars, her review also said "my mom said her friends think this is the absolute BEST place in honolulu". so i decided that this was place- and i decided to do it alone. i tried to prepare myself, since i heard that if you do not manage your expectations about the korean bathhouse experience, you may be taken off guard. i pictured checking my stuff and my self- consciousness in a locker. after i told them that it was my first time, they were so nice and gave me a tour of the facility and warned me that it may be a little uncomfortable the first time. i took a shower then went back and forth between the three wet and dry sauna rooms. there is also a hot whirlpool (too hot) and a cold one (too cold!). naked ladies everywhere. i was escorted to a back room that consisted of 4 massage tables. Choi started with the scrub-- every nook and cranny was cleaned for 45 minutes; i can't believe all the dirt that came off my body! she asked me to shower and then began my massage. the massage was amazing! i was very tight, and she really worked out my knots. the facial was just a face mask and massage, and was worked in between the massage. afterward, my hair was washed and brushed. the whole indulgent experience was 100 minutes, $110, and totally worth it! The package also includes a spa entrance fee of $20. i am sure i would have stayed longer and used the sauna services if i went with my friend. i can't wait to go back! read more

This was my first time at a spa like this and it was awesome!! My boyfriend raved about how good a traditional Korean body scrub felt and insisted that I try it. I was actually nervous on the way there - lots of nudity (trust me, you get over it) and not knowing the protocols/proper way to do things. The ladies at the spa were lovely! They showed me around and helped me out with what to do. First you shower, then you jump into the hot tub for 10-15 minutes. You go a quick minute or 2 in the cold bath (it's REALLY cold, but invigorating)! Then you do another 10-15 mins in the saunas (there are 3 different ones). The saunas are super hot. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to saunas anyway, but damn... they like it extra hot! Then a lady comes to get you for your scrub. It doesn't hurt like I thought it would. It's actually a really nice feeling. So much junk came off! It was fascinating and gross, I loved it! I'm so soft now!! They also did an incredible cucumber face mask and you get a ton of water dumped on you. The whole experience made me feel really spoiled and relaxed. They work hard!! She even washed my hair. I showered (again!) and got a fairly intense massage. By the end the lady was sweating buckets. I gave her a $20 tip and my only regret is that I didn't give her more. Worth every penny. If you're comfortable being completely nude, this place is awesome!!! I would recommend getting the Aloha package and arriving at least 30 minutes earlier than your appointment. They do offer kamaaina rates. First things first, you need to shower before you enter the hot/cold spa or sauna rooms. I would recommend bringing your own shampoo, conditioner and etc. If you forget, there are toiletries by the shower stalls. You also need to rinse off every time you enter a different spa or sauna. The best part of the Aloha package is the scrub!!! The Korean lady scrubs every part of your body for 45 minutes. It's pretty gross, but your skin feels really nice after. The massage was okay. Nothing special, but it did feel good. I didn't really care for the part where they oil your whole body, but I guess it's part of the whole experience. I would totally recommend Aloha Spa to anyone interested in trying out the Korean spa!! read more

I just came back from my first experience at a Korean spa and got the special. I knew going in that it was women only and that everyone was nude. This was not a big deal and was actually pretty liberating. I started by getting into the hot tub, then cold tub, then salt sauna, back to the cold tub, into the steam room, back to the cold tub and then they were ready for me. I was taken to a table that was like a massage table covered in vinyl so it does not absorb water. Then I was given a body scrub and they scrubbed me for probably 45 minutes or longer. My skin has never been this smooth. Well maybe when I was born. Next comes the massage. It starts off kind of gentle and then she works into locked up areas of your shoulders and finds places in your arms and legs you didn't even know hurt! The massage was painful, but I know it will be so long lasting and was just what my body needed after flying all day. At some point during the massage she gave me a facial which consisted of a facial massage and cucumber treatment and let that sit while she finished the massage. She ended the massage by applying wonderful oil to my body and then washed and conditioned my hair and scrubbed my scalp. I feel taller and rejuvenated! The spa was very clean and there was a dressing area with lockers to lock your personal belongings up. There were also brushes and blow dryers to dry your hair before you left. And they offered fresh juices, steam buns, fermented rice drinks among other things. I will definitely go back to Aloha Sauna and Spa and tell all of my friends! read more

This was my first time at this Korean spa. The front desk gave u your towels & the receptionist explained everything in English which was really nice. She made my 2 friends feel right at ease since this was their first time. We were given locker keys to strip naked & put clothes away. Walked into spa area ,kinda small compared to LA's Olympic Korean spa however not crowded so that was nice. They had 2 dry heat rooms that 4 people could lay down in comfortable - salt room & a clay room. Then they had a wet heat which was too hot for me. Their hot pool was nice however their cold plunge was really really cold It was a little hard to get into . I have been to others so I am not exaggerating. We then were ready for our scrubs. They can do about 4 at a time. They were awesome!! All of us ladies couldn't say enough at how great they were !! They even gave us kammaiana discounts ! Afterward the relaxing room was for about 2 people. I would go again, just hoping it doesn't get too crowded. read more

The service was performed at the scheduled time by a very nice woman who scrubbed and rubbed me to lala land. First off, this isn't the $200 an hour Waikiki spa experience. It was WAY better. You know how when you go someplace new you want to find the secret gem the locals know but never tell you? This is that place. I had a little trouble finding it, but Julia came out and searched for me on the street! Cheerfully! They have 3 saunas, hot, really hot and hell. I tried all three and felt drained. Fortunately, they have two pools after you rinse off, a cold and a warm jacuzzi. Ms Pak did my salt scrub, massage and mini facial. She is strong. Found all my tight places and worked them out until they were noodle soft. I feel like polished sterling after being washed and rinsed and shampooed. The place is very comfortable. I love that everyone just walks around naked with no body issues. It felt very unpretentious. I am re-working my budget so I can go at least a couple of times a month! Great experience. read more

The front-desk staff kindly welcomed us in and took my friend and I on a tour throughout the building. I decided to the get the full spa package which came with access to two saunas, a steam room, hot tub, cold plunge, a full body scrub, massage, facial, and body lathering for only $120! The whole experience lasted about four hours and I left feeling like a new person. The full-body scrub left my skin feeling super soft and I was amazed at how much dead skin came off of me. After showering off, I returned to the table and was given an hour long full-body massage. Warm water, soft soap, and gentle but thorough hands. WOW! The woman in there are working extremely hard to make sure every guest had an incredible experience. This place is definitely not for those who are body-shy. It's a woman's only facility and everyone is happily walking around naked. The body scrub/massage tables are close to one another so those who are looking for a more private experience may want to go somewhere else.
