Excellent! Fresh, friendly and fast. Park in areas and walk over, the parking lot is difficult to get in and out (very small). Eggplant dip is best I have had, Love the Greek country salad - like a day in the garden. Stuffed tomatoes and peppers are great to take home after a long day. Great addition to downtown. My wife and I have driven by this place hundreds of times. So, despite their terrible parking, we stopped and got 2 gyros and rice to go. When I got home and unwrapped the things, 1 small tomato dropped onto the basket on the table. Their was a melon ball glop of cucumber sauce on the tomato. That was all the sauce their was...the rest of the gyro, dry as a bone. I asked my wife to look at hers, same thing. The meat was on the okay side of things and the best part of the gyro was the onions. The rice was cooked with no salt and a few green beans. (the beans were canned and unrinsed) I see everyone who rates this site loves it...I'm glad for them. But they took 20 minuets and were a 3/10, and that is generous. For $20( for both of us), I'd rather go to Arby's and get a solidly mediocre gyro. read more

All of the family enjoys Alpha Gyro - my son claims they have the best hummus! I would have given it a four, but now that they accommodate my request and make a shrimp wrap special - 5s all the way. Having gone to Greece and tried a real gyro, I can honestly say this place is good and authentic. I mean I felt like I was eating this gyro in Greece. I have eaten here twice. Once To-Go and once Dine-in. When I dined in it was around 4:30p. For some reason it took an oddly long time to get my food. Both times I had the chicken gyro. My only suggestion is that they strain the chicken a little more before throwing it in the pita bread so that it's not crazy dripping everywhere & add a little more tzatziki sauce. I wanna see my sauce in every bite. Honestly can't wait to come eat here again. read more

This is an amazing restaurant! I have passed it a dozen times thinking it was a small kind of food court type option. BOY WAS I WRONG. We walked in and it smelled amazing! They make everything fresh. They have a full blown bakery with some of the most amazing treats all HOMEMADE. We had the gyro platter and meatball plate. We ate till we were MORE THAN FULL! The servings were VERY LARGE. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Such a great experience ON ALL LEVELS. Highly recommend. We will DEFINITELY frequent this fine establishment. Heard good reviews. When I stopped in before the lunch crowd, the greeting was not friendly. The Greek gyro had very tasty meat, but it could have been sliced thinner and a smaller portion. Its too much meat and hardly any tomato and onion, with very, very little tzatziki sauce. The balance between meat and fixings was way off, probably the profits too. Someone needs to review the sandwiches and fix the problems and it would be an excellent sandwich. I know its easier to make big orders, people always "say great food", but the big chains know its quality and balance that makes money and keeps customers coming in. read more

My sister and I just had a fabulous lunch at this restaurant! She is new to the area and I am from out of town so I looked on yelp for a place to eat that would be vegetarian friendly. Alpha gyro grill did not disappoint! The food was delicious! And the owner couldn't have of been friendlier. He came to our table to ask us if it was our first time at the restaurant and tell us about the food that we ordered. My teenage son grabbed a gyro to go from here after a day of rowing. He ate it in the car on the way back home and I had to have a few bites. First, he opened it and was like "it is huge". Service fantastic...gyro is awesome...falafel is soo good and good amount of food for the money...not fond of the spanikopita as it's in a small triangular pie shape and very little filling...I mentioned to owner and he gave me additional pie!!! This has to be one of the best Greek places I ever been. I ordered the gyro platter. The salad came with a big slice of feta, I had already cut it up when I realized I didn't take a pic but it was truly sufficient. The salad was not simple like some Greek places, it was full of flavor and fresh ingredients peppers, onions, herbs, tomatoes & cucumbers and the dressing was perfect. The gyro was STUFFED!
