We went during the Designer goods sale and it was pretty chaotic. Short lines because getting tickets online was very easy, free and had specific times to arrive. However, the inside was definitely similar to bargain bin digging. Shoes and clothes in giant piles and stacked to the brim. Purses and jewelry were behind a counter so you had to ask staff for it. I think it's worth it if you need a lot of simple essentials like work professional sweaters, blazers, heels and nice tennis shoes. Or maybe you need ideas on a prom dress as they had a lot of fancy dresses. To be honest, there was a huge variety of nice $1000+ clothing to outlet sale pile stuff. If you enjoy digging or resale, then this is your jam. Unfortunately, a lot of the nicer stuff was for S and under sizing. A lot of the mediums, larges and common shoe sizes were slim pickings. Some decent stuff for men too. Overall, a fun way to kill an hour since that's the maximum per visit. read more

My fiancé and I are huge Vuori fans... but not huge fans of paying full price every time. A friend told me about Alternative Retail and we finally got tickets to go to a Vuori warehouse sale here. The prices are amazing if you end up finding things you love/need. I was hoping to get more winter-appropriate wear since it's getting cold. Instead, I was disappointed to see the non-existent selection of outerwear for women. They had more for men, though. I still bought some things I can wear next season when it warms up... not necessarily because I needed them but because I was already there and the prices were good. I recommend going in knowing your size for whatever item you're buying... because there are no changing rooms to try things on and you can't return anything you buy if you realize the fit is off later. Overall, I think it's worth coming to if you get tickets (and don't need to wait in line) and are prepared to buy last season's stuff (not whatever season you're in and hoping to shop for). Tickets are free, but they go fast so I'd recommend either signing up for Alternative Retail's newsletter or following them on Instagram so you can get first dibs. We went on a Sunday, and I think the event starts on Thursday or something... if you go earlier, you might have a greater selection -- though I'm speaking out of speculation. They impose a 10-item limit per person and though we expected to max it out, we didn't find enough to. The next time I go to one of these, I'll try to make it on the first day to see if the selection is better. The staff here are friendly and do a good job keeping everything mostly organized given how hectic it can be having a ton of people shopping in there at once. Like everything in life, there's pros and cons. A friend of mine told me about this place, so we finally came here one day for one of their sales. In order to not have to stand in a looooong line in the waitlist line, you would have to follow and as soon as a new event is posted within 2 min go online to get a ticket, which is almost humanly impossible. Unfortunately, I tried to get tickets after 5min and couldn't get a ticket. So I had to wait in the waitlist line to go in. The line is about an hour long, sometimes longer depending on when you go. Earlier in the sale usually boost longer lines, however as the sale goes on, the inventory dwindles, so going in the first 3 days is highly recommended. Once you go inside, they give you a clear plastic bag and begin the fight in the "battle ground" that is the warehouse. It's stressful and time consuming to go through all the items in the racks. They are usually by size but sometimes not. They only give you an hour to do your battle, i mean shopping. So it's rather stressful, and there's no changing rooms so you don't know how things fit. I wore super tight clothes so I can try items on top of my own clothes. The pro is you get deeply discounted brand name items, the reason for that is the items did not pass quality control. Eg, stains, zipper that's too long, too short, hem too long or short, string tie without caps, small hole or tear. Make sure you inspect carefully before you purchase. read more

I have attended some really cool events here! Vuori warehouse sale, Beyond Yoga warehouse sale, designer warehouse sale... scored some amazing deals! I got some pairs of Beyond Yoga leggings for $30 and Vuori leggings for $40. You do need to book tickets ahead of time though, and they tend to go really fast, so definitely give them a follow on social media so you can snag tickets as soon as they open. read more

I've been shopping the alternative retail sales since they first open. I can confidently say I've bought everything for me, my husband, and my son. This isn't your typical shopping. Hence the name, alternative retail! It is a great way to save money on some really good products that may have gone to waste. First, when you see a sale, you make sure to register via their Eventbrite page, so they can accommodate the number of guest entering their store. Second, once you arrive, make sure you get in the ticketed line so you can join the sale at the time you chose on the Eventbrite page. Third, just know that they are not traditional dressing rooms for the sales! Recently, they've been putting out mirrors for people to try stuff on. I highly recommend wearing a tank top and leggings so you can try on the products over your clothes. I recently went to a sale that they did in collaboration with rent the runway. As someone who uses rent the runway and likes to shop secondhand, I really enjoyed this new collaboration! There were several pieces that I was able to get that were an excellent condition for being secondhand. The team from start to finish of the sale are truly amazing humans. From checking you in with your ticket in line to checking you out at the register, these people know what they're doing. The sale is always really organized. When it isn't organized, you can definitely guarantee that that it was not the employees who didn't organize it! I really wish guest would put things back in the proper manner. If they don't feel like putting it back, there are go back racks that you can put those things up on! It's not fair to the people working there that they have to clean up after people who just leave clothes on the ground. Overall, I'm going to continue to shop the alternative retail sales! I've gotten everything from clothing/accessories at the sales and everything is still an excellent condition. Looking forward to seeing who else the alternative retail team collaborate with. :-) If I could offer one suggestion! I love the go back racks that have been added towards the front of the store. If there could be more sporadically placed around the store, that might help some guess who may not be kind enough to just walk up there and put the clothes back at that rack. I will say thank you for letting me bring in my baby and his baby stroller! I do my best to make sure that I'm not in the way with him and I appreciate that the team is always really nice about allowing families with kids to come in. read more

Located off Park Ave in Tustin at the District at Tustin Legacy. Parking is shared with all the other businesses in the center. This place hold sales of popular brands at discounted prices they have a schedule and you can get tickets for certain time slots of the day for priority entry. This weekend was for the brand Vuori so I had to check it out although all tickets were sold out for this whole weekend and next weekend so I did standby which was about 1 hour 45 mins. Once inside you can grab a big clear bag to throw your stuff in the racks are labeled by size but always double check all racks cause the sizes tend to get mixed up. It is a mess cause people are scrambling to get what they want and put stuff back wherever they are. They do post up saying 10 articles max that you can purchase. I didn't find much to my liking but ended up with two jogger pants and a shirt. Pretty good pricing too but double check your items since these are returns and have some blemishes maybe a hole or tear yes it is one those type of sale places. Overall I am happy with my purchase just waiting in standby was not fun especially in the cold and light drizzle rain. read more

On the few times I have came I had generally had a positive experience. There are deals to be had as I often can get a nice haul of like 9 articles of clothing for about $200 that would normally retail for like $300+. During my recent experience I had an eventbrite ticket for a sale from 11AM to 12PM. However, during this time period I had torn my MCL and was in crutches and a knee brace. I arrived well within my window at about 11:45AM and I was directed to line up and I had verified if this was the line to enter for my time slot. I waited in line and time had passed began asking everyone for their tickets. A blonde lady scanned my ticket and said that I had missed the window. I then told the person that I was told to stand in this line and I even asked to verify that this was the right spot. The lady I spoke with did not care and redirected me to the standby line for the 12 to 1PM time slot. It was so dumb and ridiculous, the people in the standby line including myself just went online and saw that the store had another brand with tickets still available for 12 to 1PM. We just got those tickets and went back into the ticketing line. I wasn't asking for special treatment, but the bureaucracy to make me hobble back and forth between lines for a sale that wasn't even sold out felt particularly dumb. read more

Probably my favorite warehouse sale host!! Honestly have had a much more pleasant experience, especially with their ticketing system. It's allowed me to go to their sales without waiting for hours and I think the sales there are always so good! The Pacsun Warehouse Sale this weekend was my first warehouse sale so I didn't know what to expect. The line went by quickly there wasn't a wait at all. There was a good amount of stuff but I do think the selection could've been a bit more diverse In the John Galt section and the men's section. Overall a fun experience if you're looking for something to do or a brand for less. read more

The store is HUGE, so plenty of room for lots of people to shop around & they are very friendly & efficient at the registers to get you out the door quick. Their manager was rude and seemed clueless. Although there are great deals, MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. We bought 2 luggages. One that literally said carry on and another check in luggage. There are huge signs saying carry on bags were 89 and check in bags were 100. When we checked our receipt they charged both as $100 check in bags. Manager said even though it says carry on, it's actually a check in. What? It literally says carry on bag on it but apparently they have to go with what the "system" scanned it as. So we exchanged and got the bigger check in bag since the smaller carry on was the same price. read more

Tickets go pretty fast depending on the brand sale, but I keep notifications on for Eventbrite and I haven't really had an issue with getting tickets to a sale that I wanted to go to. This place and the wholesale shopping experience really is worth it for these prices. It's fun too! read more
