I came here to get my alternator rebuilt, and their prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately, the alternator failed the same day after installation, so I had to purchase another one from O'Reilly. Once I brought the issue to their attention, they were very apologetic, took full responsibility, and handled everything professionally. They refunded me and also provided $40 so I could return the core to O'Reilly and recover the extra cost I had to spend. I really appreciate how they resolved the situation. They did their best, but couldn't fix the problem. The thing is the next 2 more different mechanics I addressed to with the same issue couldn't solve voltage drop in my car neither. Alternator depot is a small business. The owners look nice and friendly, ready to help. They helped to replace the battery and refunded for alternator since its replacement didn't solved the problem. 3 stars for their helpers buddies who didn't tighten up alternator bracket, which was hanging down loose on one bolt and banging against the drive belt. I found out about it too late, when we were back in hotel. The place is about 8 miles from Strip, BTW. So we had to take an Uber (back and forth), since waiting room is not really for long waiting. Took my Jaguar to have air conditioner compressor replaced was told cost was 570 after a 150 diagnostic fee, agreed to price after all it was 110 degrees outside. I was called and told it would be an additional 600 dollars because my entire system needed to be purged. Advised Mario I could not afford that much , but was lost as to why the price didn't include that. Told no guarantee if I could not pay additional cost. The rebuilt compressor failed after two weeks, went to parts store purchased a new unit for 325 and had it installed and system purged for 250, went I went back to these people and asked kindly for an adjustment of any amount I was refused and advised by the manager that my system could not have been purged with the installation, I reminded him , that, that was the 600 dollars that they asked to purge my system. Please don't do business with these guys, I'm a 72 year old Vietnam Veteran living on a fixed income and need every dollar, they made no effort to reimburse me anything and were adamant about it. very crappy customer service they deserve no stars and no customers, if you are a Veteran or have a family member who served or wish to be supportive please don't do business with them thank you. read more

7/15/24 I had called and spoke to Angel and explained my situation. I had been informed by Perfect Auto that I needed a new battery and Alternator. I had my battery and alternator tested by Auto Zone and they told me that my battery was fine but I needed to have the alternator replaced asap. Angel was nice enough to have me bring it in to get the alternator tested free of charge. Angel said the alternator voltage was running at 13 which was still good. Angel recommended me to get my battery replaced due to having corrosion. Angel was very knowledgeable and honest. Not once has he convinced me of getting a new alternator. Angel even offered to test the alternator again after I get my battery replaced. I will definitely refer friends and family to the Alternator Depot. It's hard to find trustworthy and honest people like Angel. Too bad there's not much mechanics or auto repair shops like Angel and the Alternator Depot which I will highly recommend. read more

Had an intermittent electrical issue with a 06 Subaru Forester that is usually associated with the alternator failing. Took it to Alternator Depot where they tested it. Everything looked ok in the testing. They did say at 125,000 miles, alternators start to wear out, but no pressure to try and "sell" me to get any service done. Since I knew 125,000 was close to the end of the service life, I requested they remove, overhaul and replace the alternator. 2 hours later, I was told there was an issue with the brushes, including one of them being very worn. There would have been a complete failure in a few thousand more miles. After an on-site rebuild with OEM parts and re-installation, I was on my way for a very reasonable price and a new 2 year warranty. I'd give them ten stars for integrity, workmanship, and excellent pricing. read more

I highly recommend Alternator Depot! They replaced my alternator a month ago and it's still going strong, and Ive been very hard on it. I have an upgraded stereo in my truck that is very demanding on the electrical system so it's been running at 100% duty cycle since installation, and hasn't missed a beat. Pun intended. I did ask about a high output alternator, which they suggested against. Apparantly they really aren't compatable with my truck. After searching around, it seems no one offers a high output option for my truck so bummer there, but thats not their fault of course. I called a few days before taking my truck in and asked if same day service was available, as it's my only transportation. They said no problem, bring it in around the time they open, and they'd get it done in a few hours. I did, and they did. The shopping plaza they're in is full of other auto repair places, so if there's anything else you need done, You can probably get it done in the same parking lot. It seems everyone there is a specialist in their respective area. The shop itself is small with only 1 stall or 2, and it seems they're more interested in being a supplier then repair shop, but are more then happy to perform any charging repairs necessary. The price was right, better then right actually. If I had gone to the local big box auto parts store, the part alone would have cost me what Alternator Depot charged with parts and labor. I arrived just as they opened up, and when they opened up the roll up doors, there were shelves and shelves packed full of alternators as far as you can see. I'm sure they have whatever you need in stock. Actually while I was waiting there, someone came in asking for a specific alternator, and they said they have one just like it, but not that specific one, just give them 10 minutes and they'd swap the cases to give them the exact one the customer needed. I took my car to two shops and they tired to get over on my family as well as myself. 1st shop mvr auto repair kept saying it was "electric short in wire harness." The cost was over 2k. I went to another shop rhinosautorepair and they couldn't figure out what was wrong . Not only they misdiagnosed it I lost out on $350.00. I finally came here as last option. Took my honda there today with funny noises coming from the Alternator which is definitely a sign of needing a replacement. For me, after doing some research online, the Rebuild option seems much more reliable than buying an alternator from autozone since even Honda dealership remanufactures theirs. The only thing is to find a quality rebuilder and I think I found one in Vegas... Alternator Depot. Gayle up front was friendly, it's a fam business. I think theres a few people working here. I took it here today and they had it rebuild and reinstalled in about an hour and half! Their website said 3, so talk about being effecient! It's a little far from summerlin, but totally worth the drive if you have alternator issues. Not to mention the price quoted to me was good, 80 for the rebuild, 75 for the install. 2 year warranty to boot. Plus I found a good taco place next door, abuela's tacos. Will see if the Alternator lasts at least a few years though! If it does, I will refer everyone here. read more

I called alternator depot with some questions I had about the alternator on my Honda Civic. The person on the phone was super polite and willing to answer my questions. I decided to take my car to them to have them check the alternator. Even though it checked good, they did confirm that the internal voltage regulator was going bad, which is exactly what I had thought. I had them rebuild my alternator and do the install on it. The price that they charged me was more than fair and very reasonable. I had an older alternator for heavy equipment (24-volt, long out of production) and the employees really tried to find parts and service for it...they couldn't find parts anywhere, but did find a business in another state I could ship it to for rebuilding & repair. After getting price quotes in the $850 range to replace an alternator with a noisy bearing. (Toyota Rav4) we started looking at alternatives. Quotes from dealer and independent repair shops were similar. I was going to try and replace the bearing myself. A rebuilt unit from a car parts place was $177. We called Alternator Depot to purchase the bearing for a self repair. They said just bring it down and they would remove the alternator, rebuild it, and reinstall it. Also they said pick up a new serpentine belt and they would replace it in the process. All for $23 more than a rebuilt unit cost at a parts store. They did great work and were done when they said they would be. Very honest shop. Almost didn't go because they didn't have any feedback. read more

Alternator on my Ford Fusion was making noise so I brought it to 2 garages for estimates. I was quoted $570 by one & $480 by the other to remove the faulty alternator and install a new one. More research brought me to Alternator Depot, I arrived in early AM and was greeted very politely by Gael. He diagnosed my car and found the battery was bad & needed to be replaced. Also, the bearing on the alternator needed to be rebuilt. I was quoted $270 to do the work which includes a 2 year warranty. Brought the car in the next morning after having the battery replaced(under warranty) and these gents were incredible. Friendly, professional, highly skilled at their trade, I was highly impressed. Mario(bossman) was extremely personable and answered every question I presented. Gent really knows his stuff. An "ACE" mechanic that just gave his all to take care of a customer. They removed the alternator, Mario put it on the bench to rebuild it & then reinstalled it on my car. It looked brand spankin new. Mario informed me that all OEM parts were used. He tested the unit with his gauges before & after starting the car.The engine hummed like a finely tuned Swiss clock. I was so happy. Everything worked perfectly. I was even happier at the very reasonable price I was charged when all other companies I researched wanted to gouge me for this project. My car broke down twice at separate times, at night, and had to be towed to my house each time. I thought it was the battery, so I got a new one.
