I had 3 company come to my home on a Friday, the first two left estimates immediately prior to leaving, except Alufab USA. I emailed Mark with Alufab on the following Tuesday to see if he had forgotten about our quote; immediately following my email, he sent the quote. I asked Mark by email if he would then consider quoting a triple slider pocket door, 2 large single pane windows, 2 96" doors, 1 96" French door, and 1 96" French with full sidelites and windows above; he stated he would come out to look at this. Mark arrived on Thursday and walked the job and measured. On Saturday morning I emailed Mark to see if he had developed a price for the doors and windows and he immediately responded with a disturbing email that I will share in the pictures. The response was plenty for me to save $50 k with a company with attitude. One can only presume this is a company level sentiment shared by all. This certainly made the decision easier. read more

Hello, A few corrections to your response. We contacted eastern who then contacted you to fix our window. It was long after Hurricane Ian and unrelated as the seal in the window leaked and it is cloudy between panes. Please provide an original copy of our contract as ours says Lifetime warranty. The first glass was scratched, the second glass was the wrong size and then you came out a third time with the same piece of wrong size glass because your people wouldn't listen to us. Marco did offer to buy a new window to correct the situation, however he has never called back or answered any of my calls since. I don't feel that I have been lied to and misled, I know it to be factual. This company was highly recommended by everyone I spoke with, so I got a quote. The price was fair, so I visited the showroom. The product looked good and everyone I met seemed like the kind of folks I like doing business with. Then the alarm bells went off, they told me they are so busy doing new installs they don't have anyone available to handle service work, the wait for an installation was running 14-16 weeks, and if I wanted to sign a contract for installation worked they needed one half down to buy materials for the job. OK, I don't know about you but that tells me they are understaffed, likely underfunded, and way over committed. Sorry, but I am not willing to fund this business for 3-4 months. read more

I have used Alufab for two different jobs. I had accordion shutters installed and they did a great job. Then I had hurricane impact windows installed a year later. The work was a little sloppy and one of the windows wouldn't pass county inspection the first time. But it got worked out and all was well until we discovered one of the screens was defective and broke the first time we took it off the window. I have been trying since October to get a replacement screen. First they sent out a service tech, who took measurements and told me it would be 6 - 8 weeks. When I called back after 8 weeks, the woman who answers the phones (who is always friendly but NEVER calls back) told me that the worker had never turned in the information and the screen was never ordered. I have an email from December 20 saying they would order the screen - and as of today I still don't have it and can't get return phone calls. Ever. No one ever calls back. Bottom line - don't expect any level of service from this company, so use at your own risk. read more

Alufab was at our home yesterday installing new shutters. We couldn't have had a better experience. Our salesperson, Jack, was personable and knowledgable and gave us a great price. As we were only going to be here for a limited period of time, there was a short window for installation. They called when they said they would and installation was a couple days later. We were in the market for hurricane shutters like many others in Southwest Florida. After doing plenty of research on companies in the area, we came across Alufab as a recommendation from our friends. Alufab gave us a great price, the installation was professional, clean and overall very good. The problem was communication and coordination. It appears that they had many new employees and not enough people to oversee operations. As I said it was a good job at a good price, but because of the mishaps of coordination and communication challenges, they did not send the correct installers because the installers were not given the proper information. My family wasted a lot of time waiting, calling, calling again and not being informed regarding status updates. Maybe this is why they were cheaper than other companies, I'm not sure. We have great respect for the salesman and the installer as I said earlier, but the managers and people in the office need to improve in order for us to recommend this company to anyone else. We fulfilled our side of the bargain by promptly paying...paying immediately. We feel that once they got their money they weren't interested in listening to what we had to say. I think they are going to be a better company in the future, but not if they do things such as this. Let me just say that I don't believe this was intentional, but once we brought these issues to the attention of the owner/manager, I think they should've done a better job in fulfilling our needs. read more

Terrible company. Original installation of our hurricane roll up shutters was not properly installed causing the motor to fail before its useful life. Also, numerous calls over a 2 week period to repair the defective motor went unanswered despite them assuring us that they would schedule the repair. We called Forcefield Hurricane Protection System in Port Charlotte and they replaced the motor in one day. read more

BUYER BEWARE! We have found out they filed a fraudulent lien against our home, never notified us and lied on the claim of lien that the job was complete on September 9. It was NOT complete and we were still calling to have them fix the slider that was wrong in the first place. The job was not complete for another 4 months! We had Alufab install electric hurricane shutters on our lanai and purchased lexan panels for our windows. They did an outstanding job. The electric was neatly done, the electric shutters work like a dream and the panels are easy to install. We have had them for three years and use the shutters almost daily. read more

We recently had electric roll down hurricane shutters installed on our condo on Fort Myers Beach. The price was good and the shutters are great. The process takes more steps than we realized, so the whole project will not happen in one trip. After the shutters were installed the company then schedules an electrician to complete the job. A previous review had issues with coordination and communication. Jack Lengel, prevented these issues with our job. The best part of doing business with Alufab was being included and informed about the process by Jack via email. I knew when he emailed our condo association for permission, when he received it, when he emailed them again requesting a letter to be sent to the FMB permit people and when when we were scheduled to have our shutters installed. Because of the two step process, we had to leave Florida before the electric was installed. I emailed Jack when we would be returning and we had an appointment scheduled for the day after we arrived. I think it would be helpful to have known in advance that the project will take two separate appointments. I cannot say enough how much I appreciated Jack's attention to any concerns and constant email communication. He represents customer service at it's finest! read more
