What if I told you can have a complicated relationship with a green power ranger and go crazy dealing with some banana business with an orange mean machine all in one place in SF. Sounds like characters and names of television show, streaming show or movie titles. These are drink items you will find from a coffee bar in the Richmond District in San Francisco. You can also find food with Mexican and American flavors with ingredients on the menu like the breakfast nachos also known as chilaquiles, smoked salmon avocado toast, vegan empanada with mushroom, tortas, and super suiza quesadillas that are cheesy like some in SF. You will even find strawberry matcha latte for Don Juan de la Matcha. This place is on 6th avenue and Geary and it's called Alushe. On a Spring stroll on Geary street I decided I needed something refreshing on another San Francisco sunny day walking around the concrete jungle. Inside Alushe the decor feels like stepped into the forrest of a jungle with lots of animal paintings on the walls and miniature statues from the Mayan ruins in Yucatán. Lots choices on the menu and I decided to go with Orange mean machine smoothie. It had peach, orange juice, pineapple, peanut butter, and vanilla. It was not too sweet with the combination of savory. It was refreshing but a thick breezy smoothie. They also have bagels and fresh pressed juices such as the Jaguar Punch ( not Punch the viral monkey) which has strawberry, apple, and a drop of lemon. Come here if you want something savory and cheesy in SF and also grab a breezy smoothie. Come to a place with lots of flavor worth "tryin" inside it has decor of animals paintings of a Jaguar, Leopard and a "Lion" and they have a decor with food that is also"Mayan" If I say the food and drinks at this place goes crazy and looks wild I wouldn't be "lying" Go inside Alushe it's like set of a Hollywood television show or "movie "maybe not the one you see at a theater but the one you stream on "Tubi "this place is a hidden gem like a emerald , diamond and "ruby" aren't you glad it's almost Orange Friday so you can grab an orange mean machine "smoothie"

This is a great Mexican Deli type casual restaurant, offering a wide range of familiar Mexican casual food offerings, but also offering Coffees, too! Great spot in the Inner Richmond district of SF! It is like Starbucks meets El Farolito, or Peet's meets La Taqueria! Except it is family run, it is cleaner than those other food places, and has a lot more table and chairs to sit at then El Farolito. Plus it has beautiful, full wall murals that are gorgeous and makes you feel like you are somewhere in Latin America, sipping your Java while stuffing your abdominal storage unit with yummy food! And there is a lot to store! I ordered a medium Latte, with 2%, and a "Super" (add avocado and sour cream) Pollo (chicken) Quesadilla, and wow, that Quesadilla was humongous among us! It could feed 2! I couldn't finish it and I asked for a take away box! I couldn't eat more than half of it! So thick and tasty! And that all came out to $20. Enough to stuff my pie hole, fill my storage unit, and some extra for late night snack on a second go at it! Service was super nice and friendly from what I think perhaps was 3 generations of Family here when I was meeting a client here? Very sweet people! This is on Geary near 7th Avenue, close to the Kaiser Permanente French Campus medical offices. I would recommend this place to check out if you are in the area. Tell a friend! When good food, good people, good art, and good intentions come together, you have to check it out!

I wasn't sure what the name meant, but glad I walked in, this place is a hidden gem. Back in the day when I was traveling through Mexico, my go to meal was fresh Latin breakfast, fruit smoothies and a nice latte and this place brought huge nostalgia of that for me. The ambiance is also great to get some work done with good wifi and plenty of outlets. The owners, husband and wife, seem really nice. I only got a chance to speak to the husband and he was super enthusiastic in giving me good recommendations and explaining the dishes. I also loved the murals here, definitely coming back.

I ordered the bacon avocado breakfast burrito and it was delicious! The salsa on the side was equally delicious. The yogurt parfait had the right amount of fruit to yogurt ratio. I like this place a lot and will totally come back and try more items from the menu. The service is outstanding. They came over and offered me a to go box without my even asking. We walked here. Please come and create your own adventure.

carrot cake latte, Pistachio Lime latte

I ordered a carrot cake latte ($8) and pistachio lime latte ($8) via delivery and they came in cute little cups. I loved the variety and uniqueness of specialty lattes and would come back to try more of those I was intrigued by. the carrot cake latte didn't really taste like carrot cake but it was good, not too sweet. the pistachio lime combo was more prominent and interesting, but could be a bit stronger of both flavors. the espresso base was good in both!

A family-owned gem! We ordered different lattes and breakfast items, and everything was so flavorful. I'm most impressed by their coffee. You can tell they love to get creative and are passionate about delivering great food + service.

Love this new coffee bar on Geary. I tried the Mayan Mocha hot and the bacon, onion croissant--both delicious. It's so cool to get chocolate from the Yucatán! It's also conveniently located near the 38/38R bus stop and other local businesses on Geary. Really appreciate the Mayan decor and friendly staff too. I'm excited to come back and try the veggie tamales.

Horchata with a shot of espresso and Bacon & Avocado Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo.
    Joanne H.

Such a good breakfast spot! Ordered a Horchata with espresso shots added and a Bacon & Avocado Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo added. 10/10 food and service! Jessica took our order and has the bubbliest personality. Great Ambiance and can't wait to come back and try lunch and dinner. Jessica mentioned they do banana leaf tamales as well as traditional masa.

    Chilaquiles with green salsa
    Rochelle S.

My favorite chilaquiles! This cafe has the KINDEST staff and such good food. They always greet you like you are a regular when you come in. They have a super varied menu. Personally I always get the chilaquiles with green salsa (you can also get red), and it's not spicy but you can add spicy salsa on the side. I prefer their seasonal lattes over their coffee, but they have a lot of options. Inside there are a lot of tables and looks like your typical classic coffee shop. They are working on a beautiful mural right now, so that'll add some color.

This is a relatively newer gem in the Inner Richmond with both sit down food offerings and coffee! I only had a cup of black coffee here, but am excited to go back and try the food as well. Parking: Standard Inner Richmond Parking--metered spots. It is on the corner of a busy street (Geary) so I'd suggest parking on one of the side streets. Would be more difficult during the weekends but weekdays shouldn't be too difficult. (FYI they are closed on Sundays) Service: Very friendly and kind service! Ambiance: Wide open and clean with plenty of tables. This would be a great place to work from (though I'm not sure about wifi and outlets) Food/Drinks: I can only speak to the coffee and I will tell you it was delicious but also STRONG! I am an avid coffee drinker and this one cup left me with the shakes. That being said, I loved it and it was worth the temporary anxiety lol. I attached a pic of their breakfast menu--the offerings seem unique and delicious and seems to include some healthy options. Overall, I had a great experience so far and can't wait to return!

A Mayan-Inspired coffee bar and cafe opened up recently in Inner Richmond serving great coffee, sandwiches, Argentinean Empanadas, and Yucatecan Breakfast burritos, etc. Very impressive selections of food and especially love the lattes and latte art. Cozy & casual ambiance with great service. Located on Geary Blvd and 6th Ave; across the street from Kaiser French Campus.

I come to this amazing place on my lunch time, they got great drinks and delicious food. They are lovely and respectful people, from the cashier, bariata to the cooks. I recommend 10/1

A few people were already in there eating, and we know this place is good, as a few others in our group and I have been here multiple times. The Taqueria is typical of any other, with bench-style chairs for folks to sit on, a water station, and workers cooking it up in the kitchen. I wasn't too hungry, so I grabbed a Super Lengua Taco, while my friends grabbed burritos, we ended up grabbing 3 complimentary chips and guac/salsa with our order and the food came out pretty quickly. When I saw my Taco I forgot how much they stuffed it and wow, two of these would've filled me up just like a taco; there was so much Lengua that it kept falling off after every bite. The flavors all came together and I scruffed down the whole thing after about 6+ bites! Definitely a place to come to if you're looking for a full meal, or something to snack on!

We ordered the carne asada burrito and carnitas tacos. Besides of course picking your choice of meat, there are a couple of other choices you have to make: 1. Super or not. The super provides you with guacomole and sour cream for an extra charge 2. El dorado style or not. El dorado sears the flour tortilla for a crispy exterior. No extra charge. I definitely recommend both options. I had made the mistake in the past of not ordering either and the burrito is a little more dry without the guacamole and sour cream, and you can definitely taste the difference in not having the seared tortilla. On to the meats, both burrito and tacos offer generous meat portions and the carne asada was smoking and slightly charred. The carnitas were slightly crispy and well seasoned. The tacos come with both a soft and hard shell providing a slight crunch with is my preference over just a soft taco. Inside there were shared tables which move relatively quickly. When we were there, we actually got to listen to some live Mexican music with a live band!
