I ordered the bacon avocado breakfast burrito and it was delicious! The salsa on the side was equally delicious. The yogurt parfait had the right amount of fruit to yogurt ratio. I like this place a lot and will totally come back and try more items from the menu. The service is outstanding. They came over and offered me a to go box without my even asking. We walked here. Please come and create your own adventure.

I ordered a carrot cake latte ($8) and pistachio lime latte ($8) via delivery and they came in cute little cups. I loved the variety and uniqueness of specialty lattes and would come back to try more of those I was intrigued by. the carrot cake latte didn't really taste like carrot cake but it was good, not too sweet. the pistachio lime combo was more prominent and interesting, but could be a bit stronger of both flavors. the espresso base was good in both!

I absolutely love Alushe Coffee Bar. Tucked right on the corner of 6th Ave & Geary--conveniently next to a bus stop and, lucky for me, directly across from my office--it's become one of the bright spots of my day. Walking into Alushe always feels like stepping into a warm, welcoming community haven. The family who owns and runs the coffee bar greets you as if you're part of their own. They call me by name every time, and that small gesture never fails to make my morning. Marco, the barista, is nothing short of a culinary scientist. Every drink he crafts is a thoughtful blend of fresh ingredients, creativity, and genuine care. And his wife, Jessica, welcomes you with a smile so warm it could lift anyone's spirits. Whether you're settling in to start your morning or grabbing a quick treat to go, the experience is always delightful. The menu itself carries a unique Maya-inspired vibe, bringing a taste of Yucatán right into the neighborhood--fresh juices, breakfast sandwiches, empanadas, salads, pastries, and so much more, all made to order. My personal favorites? The carrot cake latte and the BLTA on sourdough--truly unbeatable. Alushe Coffee Bar is a must-try neighborhood gem, the kind of place that turns a simple coffee stop into a moment of joy.

This is a great Mexican Deli type casual restaurant, offering a wide range of familiar Mexican casual food offerings, but also offering Coffees, too! Great spot in the Inner Richmond district of SF! It is like Starbucks meets El Farolito, or Peet's meets La Taqueria! Except it is family run, it is cleaner than those other food places, and has a lot more table and chairs to sit at then El Farolito. Plus it has beautiful, full wall murals that are gorgeous and makes you feel like you are somewhere in Latin America, sipping your Java while stuffing your abdominal storage unit with yummy food! And there is a lot to store! I ordered a medium Latte, with 2%, and a "Super" (add avocado and sour cream) Pollo (chicken) Quesadilla, and wow, that Quesadilla was humongous among us! It could feed 2! I couldn't finish it and I asked for a take away box! I couldn't eat more than half of it! So thick and tasty! And that all came out to $20. Enough to stuff my pie hole, fill my storage unit, and some extra for late night snack on a second go at it! Service was super nice and friendly from what I think perhaps was 3 generations of Family here when I was meeting a client here? Very sweet people! This is on Geary near 7th Avenue, close to the Kaiser Permanente French Campus medical offices. I would recommend this place to check out if you are in the area. Tell a friend! When good food, good people, good art, and good intentions come together, you have to check it out!

I wasn't sure what the name meant, but glad I walked in, this place is a hidden gem. Back in the day when I was traveling through Mexico, my go to meal was fresh Latin breakfast, fruit smoothies and a nice latte and this place brought huge nostalgia of that for me. The ambiance is also great to get some work done with good wifi and plenty of outlets. The owners, husband and wife, seem really nice. I only got a chance to speak to the husband and he was super enthusiastic in giving me good recommendations and explaining the dishes. I also loved the murals here, definitely coming back.

Love this new coffee bar on Geary. I tried the Mayan Mocha hot and the bacon, onion croissant--both delicious. It's so cool to get chocolate from the Yucatán! It's also conveniently located near the 38/38R bus stop and other local businesses on Geary. Really appreciate the Mayan decor and friendly staff too. I'm excited to come back and try the veggie tamales.

My favorite chilaquiles! This cafe has the KINDEST staff and such good food. They always greet you like you are a regular when you come in. They have a super varied menu. Personally I always get the chilaquiles with green salsa (you can also get red), and it's not spicy but you can add spicy salsa on the side. I prefer their seasonal lattes over their coffee, but they have a lot of options. Inside there are a lot of tables and looks like your typical classic coffee shop. They are working on a beautiful mural right now, so that'll add some color.

I couldn't get past the dirtiness let alone place an order, I'll pass. There is no way with that many people working behind the counter it should be that many spots of dirt, there's no way, germs at the buffet. Yuck!!!! small business does not equate to lack of standards. Ironically the employee chased me down to ask why i had a problem with establishment. Ma'am stand where I stood and tell me what you see....filth!!!!!!!!

Such a good breakfast spot! Ordered a Horchata with espresso shots added and a Bacon & Avocado Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo added. 10/10 food and service! Jessica took our order and has the bubbliest personality. Great Ambiance and can't wait to come back and try lunch and dinner. Jessica mentioned they do banana leaf tamales as well as traditional masa.

This is a relatively newer gem in the Inner Richmond with both sit down food offerings and coffee! I only had a cup of black coffee here, but am excited to go back and try the food as well. Parking: Standard Inner Richmond Parking--metered spots. It is on the corner of a busy street (Geary) so I'd suggest parking on one of the side streets. Would be more difficult during the weekends but weekdays shouldn't be too difficult. (FYI they are closed on Sundays) Service: Very friendly and kind service! Ambiance: Wide open and clean with plenty of tables. This would be a great place to work from (though I'm not sure about wifi and outlets) Food/Drinks: I can only speak to the coffee and I will tell you it was delicious but also STRONG! I am an avid coffee drinker and this one cup left me with the shakes. That being said, I loved it and it was worth the temporary anxiety lol. I attached a pic of their breakfast menu--the offerings seem unique and delicious and seems to include some healthy options. Overall, I had a great experience so far and can't wait to return!

I am actually obsessed with this place. I come to Alushe all the time and the smoothies are always insanely good. The Watermelon Waterboy and Strawberry Lowrider have me in a chokehold at this point. They taste so fresh every single time and I genuinely crave them throughout the week. The people here are also amazing and make the whole experience even better. Everyone is so nice, welcoming, and just has really good energy. One of my favorite spots in San Francisco without a doubt. read more

We decided to get all our flu shots over with one Saturday morning with the kids and of course needed a treat to give the kids afterwards. Saw this spot was open recently and literally across the street. The staff were very welcoming. A very spacious location. We ordered: ham and cheese croissant - standard but tasty avocado toast- they were so sweet in trying to explain the sikil p'aak? and although I said sure lets try it, they actually didn't have it and so I got the smoked salmon, which was totally fine and tasty. bagel cream cheese for the toddler. mokosa juice- yum, healthiness haha. fruit cup - mostly for the kids, and fine. They were very sweet to bring us a vegetarian quiche to try, which tasted great as well. A good spot to support local folks. I hope they get plenty of business from the Kaiser folks. They really make an effort to give that customer service and make you feel at home. They were sweet with the kids as well. read more

The Alushe family truly cares about the community and our school! We put in a very large breakfast order for our elementary school teachers and staff, and they absolutely prepared delicious, carefully packaged meals for our staff. The response and follow up was quick! They were committed to making sure everything was correct and all toppings/sides were there. Food, incredible. The sausage egg muffin breakfast sando is THE BEST DUPE for a McDonalds McMuffin and that is not an exaggeration. Service is so warm and friendly. The owners are truly a power couple and their stories, their rich cultures, are painted beautifully across the wall, creating such a fun, welcoming ambiance. What a win for the Avenues. read more

Absolute quality coffee, fresh juice, and authentic Mexican food here!! The jetski juice is so refreshing and I crave it all of the time. Their coffee is less bitter and more on the sweet side which is amazing. The tamales are so delicious and Marcos and Jess were extremely welcoming and helpful to my experience. This place is a gem. The space is very roomy as well, a nice spot to get some work done or hang out with friends. Can't wait to go back and try more! read more

I was walking from Kaiser across the street and was about to go grocery shopping on Clement and 6th Ave area but after waiting for the traffic light, I looked around and stumbled upon Alushe. Their "Chai-riffic Bananarama" caught my eye! Right from the start I was greeted by Jessica, who owns the coffee bar with her husband. She was so sweet and super positive. Just from talking to her, I want to give more than 5 stars. I ordered: - Chai-riffic Bananarama (super smooth, just right) - tamale de pollo (another comfort food for me, delicious, moist enough) Wish I had ordered more to go but I was going to buy some groceries and having my toddler with me was going to be a bit of a struggle. I want to try a lot more from their menu next time. So spacious here and everything looks so good! read more

Very much wanted to enjoy this place, but did not. Their vibe is off for me. I didn't enjoy the coffee I ordered on my first visit. It was bland and looked nothing like the photo. I gave them another shot, but was disappointed beyond words with their chilaquiles. They were arguably the worst I've had anywhere. They were soggy. My eggs were fried very hard after requesting over medium. It wasn't edible. It wasn't cheap either. Anyway, the chilaquiles were that bad I thought to leave a review. Dining out is expensive and should be worth the cost. read more

Hidden gem in the Richmond! Was look for brunch spots that were walking distance from me and stumbled upon this place! I saw the reviews were good and after coming here it's def accurate! The staff was very nice and welcoming and helped us decide what to get. There is a lot of seating and space. The food was great and felt homemade, loved the eggs and beans. The perfect corner coffee shop! The lattes were all so yummy and authentic, you could definitely tell Marcos put a lot of thought and effort in to each drink. Passed by this coffee shop on our way to dinner on a Friday night and ran into the owner - Marcos. He has a background in mixology and brings that knowledge to his inventive lattes - which are absolutely delicious! We made it a point the next morning to stop in again for the welcoming and good vibes the owners / workers gave off and had a wonderful breakfast! We tried the almond peanut butter latte, walnut carrot cake latte, and their valentines special menu latte "complicated relationship" with rose and cardamom and they were all BOMB!! They make the syrups fresh in house and you can tell as they're so good. The drinks were perfectly balanced in flavor and sweetness! We also tried the chorizo breakfast burrito, bacon and avocado breakfast burrito and carne asada torta - which were all pretty solid. Their food menu had a lot of options it was hard to choose! The coffee / drink menu was the stand out. Definitely try out this new spot on Geary and show the owners some love - they are the sweetest! read more

I love this place! I come here at least once a week for lunch when I'm working. The staff are super friendly and kind, the smoothies & food are great, and there's plenty of space to sit. Highly recommend their tamales, juices, and smoothies. The green Power Ranger has been my number one pregnancy craving for the last few months. Also worth noting as they have a beautiful mineral on their wall. read more

Omg omg omg this PLACE BLEW MY MINDDDD!! As one of the workers said, they are "bringing the Mission" over to the Richmond! Not only was I blown away by the delicious seasonal cafe drinks (we ordered a Mexican hot chocolate and a walnut carrot cake latte), but the fact that they have a full restaurant experience with their extensive breakfast and lunch menu full of incredibly flavorful Mexican food is something you just don't find anywhere around here. This place is truly special and I can say with confidence that this will be my new favorite spot to feed my heart whenever I'm craving a latte and a delicious meal. Thank you Alushe, for a fantastic lunchtime experience and for your kind service towards my husband, children and I. We are excited to come back and try everything on your menu lol! read more

Randomly stumbled into Alushe. Great find! The staff are very nice, and food options include great, home style Latin American breakfast! Made me feel like I was visiting family. I've been searching for a memorable breakfast nook in my neighborhood. Something cozy, inviting, affordable, and welcoming. 'Am I reaching for the stars, here?' My search has crossed many neighborhoods and I've often encountered inflated prices, excruciating noise levels, and burnt out employees. Recently, while I was waiting for my car to be repaired, I did a quick 'walk' through the Geary / Richmond neighborhood. Thank my lucky stars! I came across this gem - Alushe Coffee Bar. The service here is so welcoming, I had a cinnamon bun so good I basically inhaled it so no pictures. The coffee bar is why I came and the Rosetta Pistachio did not disappoint. Chill vibes, good tunes, great place to have a low key brunch or at least a better coffee than you'll find at the Kaiser next door if you happen to be visiting. Highly recommend! read more

Wow! This place is crazy good. I had and iced vanilla latte, ham and cheese croissant, and chicken empanadas. *vanilla latte- they use homemade vanilla syrup and this was delicious!! *ham and cheese croissant- crispy, hammy, and cheesy. This is everything you want in a croissant! *chicken empanadas- holy cow these were crazy good! They give you two yummy sauces, and I can't wait to come back for more! read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and had such a great experience that I turned around and brought a friend the very next day. The people are so incredibly friendly, inside is welcoming with a beautiful mural, and the food and drinks are delicious! I've enjoyed the breakfast burritos and my friend enjoyed their croissant breakfast sandwich. Also highly recommend their house-made syrups - a latte with cardamom syrup was a perfect choice for this chilly morning. read more

i recently came to check this place out as i love to explore my city and try different brunch spots but when i found out they were mayan inspired i had to check them out since my whole life i grew up eating mayan food and am mayan myself. When i arrived at alushee i was welcomed in the most generous way possible with a strong smile from all the staff a smile that just makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk in. i ordered the chilaquiles with the cochinita and i can honestly say it was to die for! every bite was flavorful the cochinita was juicy and very delicious, Definitely reminds me of home .. The vibe in the place is amazing wethere youre looking for a buisness meeting , or just catching up with friends or family this place is the place to go! If i can give them 10 stars i definitely would! not to mention the barista also made my baby a puree from scratch which she loved and devoured. The staff at Alushe is pretty attentive and warm. I usually get their white mocha coffee; it's very delicious. I mostly have breakfast here and so far everything I've ordered is pretty good. They have a large selection of different flavored coffees and while I've enjoyed trying ones like the lime and pistachio (which is great, by the way), I always come back to the Peanut Butter Sandy that found a way to make a coffee like peanut butter and make it taste great. read more

Alushe coffee started in October 7,2024 the idea of bringing a Mayan Inspired Coffee bar in the Inner Richmond was something that started on car ride home. After opening many restaurants, bar, and coffee shops, my wife and I decided to take a leap of faith and go for it. we have years of hospitality experience. From breakfast, to lunch, to some thing refreshing, Alushe has something for you. Come hang out with us.

I do work here 1-3 times a week, usually starting ~11:00 AM and ending by 2:00 PM. This area really needed a cafe after cafe coco closed in the same spot. Next nearest is blue Danube on clement (who charges for internet) and brecks on arguello (unsure if they even offer internet, but almost all seating is outside). Alushe's chai is good, they have three versions, and you can get soy--a big reason I switched cafes ~8/9 months ago is one of my other cafes got rid of soy milk. Usually get a chai, a topo chico, and a spinach salad. Costs ~$22. Great salad! Large enough to fill, but not ridiculously sized. Has nice dressing and comes with pickled onions, walnuts/pecans, cranberries, a hard boiled egg, and goat cheese. Also like the milaneza sando. Haven't tried their Latin food, but I'm sure it's authentic. Excellent (and free) internet connection and can always get a table even when pretty packed. They open early AM and offer brekkie, in addition to pastries, too. Very nice proprietors. Very friendly :) My sole gripe is they're closed Sundays, and we often go to the music concourse or inner sunset by catching a 44 and would like a Bev before getting on the bus. If you're in the Richmond District, you have to stop by Alushe. This isn't just a coffee shop--it's family. The kind of place where you come in for breakfast and leave with your heart full. We laugh together, talk about life, uplift one another... honestly, blood wouldn't make a difference here. My go-to will always be the everything breakfast bagel with bacon, eggs, and cheese--never misses. But let me tell you... I stepped out and tried the B.A.T (bacon, avocado, tomato) and WOW. And if you haven't tried swapping in Swiss cheese instead of American, you are seriously missing out Trust me, one visit and you'll be hooked.
