A tiny corner neighborhood spot, but delicious breakfast sandwiches and great prices! The owner was so sweet and the service was quick. Got a croissant sandwich with sausage egg, egg, and cheese with hot sauce and a vanilla latte for $9.50 which is unheard of nowadays. The sandwich is also pretty large and the croissant is toasted and buttery. It's a tiny place so not really any seating, more of a takeaway place. If I lived here I'd be a regular!

The Art Bistro has been in this neighborhood for many years. They offer a very affordable menu of bagel, croissant, sandwiches and coffee. They have a today special everyday at a very reasonable price. I usually will grab 4 if it is chicken, tomato and cheese sandwiches. They give a generous portion of ingredients. The coffee starts at $2 for a small cup in price. Not only the portion is generous, the ingredients are fresh. The sandwiches are made/assembled/toasted right after ordered. You will get a warm sanwiches with cheese melting and coffee steaming hot. One of the hot items that I always see customers order is Thai tea which is only available in 2 sizes - medium and regular (large). I am not a fan of Thai tea, too sweet for me, but my husband loves it. Other than daily special, they also offer kid's meal in the afternoon. There are 2 big schools nearby so you can expect a long waiting line during lunch and afternoon. In fact, you will always see multiple customers waiting inside and outside the store. That said, they are good, not just talking about the food, their staff are all nice and friendly.

Such a gem of a coffe shop in the city! The best price you can get for a bagel sandwich in SF. Not to mention they give 3 pieces of bacon, delicious cheese they added some special seasoning to, and the bagel is soft and flatter than most bagel, not too thick. It's a perfect bagel imo. A very cute little corner store with the cutest, sweetest lady running the shop. Discovered this place two weeks ago and have been twice already!

I've been here quite a few times but it's finally time I wrote a review. This small hole in the wall shop at the corner of the street is a perfect location for a quick bite and some coffee or even Thai ice tea with boba! Every time I come here, it seems like a lot of locals visit this spot because they're always chatting with the workers. The lady there is the sweetest lady ever. She's so welcoming and friendly. I don't come as often as I'm sure others do but every time I do, her energy is the exact same - super contagious. Their prices have not changed (or if they did, not by much) since I came almost about a year ago. I've only tried their bagels here so I can't speak for their other items but that's because their bagels always hit the spot. They're bigger than most coffee shops that serves bagels + they allow you to include mayo, ketchup, and hot sauce! How awesome is that? They also use a generous amount of cheese, just look at how melty the cheese is on my bagel. I've tried their Thai tea once since they advertise it as the best in the world. I wouldn't go as far as to say best but it's a decent Thai ice tea. And where else can you get a large Thai ice tea for $3.50? You can get a big bagel and a large Thai ice tea for under $10! Right outside, they have a little small stand for food donations and for anyone to take if they need it. It's such a sweet gesture and it's awesome seeing people in the community contribute to it. Definitely stop by and support this spot if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite. The lady is the sweetest and you can tell she loves doing what she does. She even go as far to come around the counter and bring out your order!

I only tried the Thai Iced Tea this time around but it was a really good one. Normally I'm not a fan of the Thai iced teas so I was pleasantly surprised how much I did like it. When I went (Jan.11, 2026) the outside looked like it was undergoing a remodeling but they were still open! You can get the Thai Iced Tea with boba but I went without this time around. Definitely coming back! read more

Love it!! My favorite place to go for cheap bagels. The Thai tea is amazing - probably a lot of sugar so I can't get it very often, although I'd go everyday if I could. Only $3 for the Thai tea and $5 for a bagel sandwich. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. It was very tasty. read more

gosh they deserve all the stars The thai tea drink is my guilty pleasure...it's seriously the best in the city!!! It's more on the creamy side but you still have that distinct tea flavor. A regular/large drink size is only $3.50 so you're getting the best deal. Their hot foods are also super yummy and well made. My go-to is the sausage egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich. The ladies working there always so sweet and welcoming, with a constant smile on their face. If you're a regular like my boyfriend, they will instantly remember your name which is so special. read more

This place is so great every time I pay them a visit. Whenever I'm visiting friends in San Fran we stop here and either get a coffee, breakfast or both. I've been coming here since high school, even before the Clement location opened. The Thai tea has always been consistent in taste and affordable--hands down the best Thai tea I've had in San Francisco. The owner is the sweetest! She's incredibly kind and welcoming, and I'll never forget how she used to donate Thai tea to the students at the old TestMagic location. She treats every customer with genuine warmth and even remembers us, no matter how many years it's been. This place isn't just about great drinks--it's about the heart and care behind them. Delicious breakfast sandwiches for a price you can't beat in the city! We stopped by Art Bistro for our first meal of the day. Unfortunately they did not have eggs because of the shortage. They customized our breakfast sandwiches with other ingredients to compensate. Only forms of payment accepted is cash and Venmo. The ladies were so friendly and sweet. I love the small business energy. There's not much seating, so we walked to the park up the hill to enjoy our food. I just wish I lived closer to this place! read more

A neighbor recommended this place once but I didn't go. Then the Chron listed it as having a top Breakfast sandwich so that tipped the scale. "Hidden gem" might be an overused phrase but you could walk past the Art Bistro and not give it a second thought. I have, many times. But today the Marina Deli & Liquor thwarted my breakfast sando mission by shutting that part of its menu down at noon, and I went here instead. Major upgrade! On time, large, meaty, with super-courteous service. Its unassuming atmosphere and simple menu belies the quality they put into the product. The best establishments throw in something extra, like a chef's amuse, for example. Here you get a free sauce for dipping. Since a lot of their "clientele" are students from neighboring Presidio Middle School, prices are low and affordable for all. A great joint, hidden in the Richmond. Top breakfast sandwich for the price. read more

When I saw the prices on their menu, I thought it was too good to be true. Nowadays, it's so rare to find a lox bagel under $14. I got the asiago bagel with lox, and was very happy with my order! The asiago bagel had a nice chew, and the cream cheese and lox added a good tangy and salty flavor to the overall sandwich. I would 100% come back! read more

**CASH ONLY** Really cute and small cafe. Me and my friend wanted the mini thai tea that they used to sell for $1, but sadly they no longer do those. So we just opted to get their regular sized thai teas. I got a medium thai iced tea (now $2.95) + boba which was an extra 50 cents. Came out very fast as they had a lot of thai tea pre-made and ready to sell. Boba was super soft and chewy. But the thai tea does run a little on the sweeter side. read more

It is truly a gem in the Richmond community and I wished more people visited this place. The staff is always so friendly and make you feel comfortable in their establishment. My husband got the everything bagel which was delicious. Very limited seating only about one table outside but we sat there and they served us which was super sweet considering how busy they were. Love The Art Bistro. It has a small coffee shop feel. Staff is wonderful and friendly. Their sandwiches all come with a sweet mayo... if you can tolerate sweet and mayo... then you must include it. So the tuna cheddar is really a tuna salad melt.... but they use that addictive sweet mayo. The tuna salad is very tasty. There is a slight hint of fish so you know what you are eating. Love the crunch of the small diced celery. If you are going all the way with a creamy tuna salad, you have to order it in a large buttery croissant. So much YUM in a small bag. After reading all of the reviews, I was very disappointed in this place. There was a man who stopped by to chat with the counter person. I had to stand there and wait just to submit my order because the counterperson was so busy chatting to this man. Also, this place does not accept credit cards. If you're going to make a sandwich that already exists and put your "take" on it, it should be at least as good, if not better. I hate paying good money on crap food. Boo.

We also tried the black sesame kouign amann, which was more reminiscent of a morning bun type pastry, and the cubano and the ham and cheese croissants, which were good but just lacking a little in flavor. Overall, Juniper has excellent pastries, and I'll definitely be sure to grab a plain croissant next time to try it out as well - some pastries pack a bit more flavor than others but given how quickly the like moves I'll definitely be back again to try some of their othering offerings soon!

I usually don't drink/like coffee, but the guava cold brew sounded so interesting I couldn't resist. The fruity jasmine tea somehow paired so well with the coffee and made it a nice refreshing drink. I was also lucky enough to try the matcha crepe cake, which I believe they get from Lady M. It had really nice layers and was light, but unfortunately it was a little too sweet for me. Fantastic cafe! I have been going here for nearly three years and I have never been disappointing with either the quality of the food or the quality of the service. Every time I walk through the front door I am greeted with a beaming smile and a heartfelt and cheery hello. At times I have though this is because I am a regular, but in all the time I have spent there sipping delicious coffee, chai, or tea or munching on a delightful sandwich I have never seen any thing but friendliness or helpfulness from any of the wonderful staff. A MUST stop coffee shop. One of the best I have been to. The coffee is good (basic black is all I drink). The ladies are friendly, fast and courteous. The atmosphere is homey. The foot traffic is local and nice. The weather is usually sunny and the seating is comfy and accessible. Throw in free internet and it is the perfrect combination for a great morning. The amazing thing that adds to me driving 10 miles for a cup of coffee here is the pie!!!! And even, several times I witnessed the employees refusing to do service to several customers. The service there, like I said, is very UNACCEPTABLE.
