Finally, a neighborhood joint that actually lets you exist. I'm splitting my time between the city and Santa Rosa, and finding a "third space" in SF where the staff doesn't look at their watch the moment you finish your latte is a rare win. The Vibe: Great interior space. It's got that elusive "sit for hours" energy--perfect for actually getting through a book or just staring into the middle distance while you "master the pause." The Goods: * The Coffee: Solid. Exactly what you need to kickstart the day. * The Tea: Truly impressive assortment. Usually, tea is an afterthought at coffee shops; here, it's a feature. * The Food: The Egg Sando is the MVP--highly recommend. The bagels are decent (they do the job), and the chocolate chip cookie is the kind of dangerous snack that makes you glad you walked there. * The Rumor Mill: Word on the street is the Matcha is great. I haven't tried it yet, but the people at the next table looked suspiciously happy with theirs. The Verdict: Friendly staff and a genuine neighborhood feel. I came in here in search of a sandwich. Was pleasantly surprised with the decor beautiful and quite large . It wasn't quite seemed like a lot of groups kinda noisy . Lots of room for laptops work etc . The sandwich was decent I had the Blta no turkey for me . Coffee served in a timely manner but soo weak. The coffee was my only complaint it was a cappuccino and it was watery kinda weak disappointing for such a beautiful place. read more

Thursday, May 8 2025 , 11am: Here for the Avocado Toast. It did not disappoint. Extra points because the sourdough bread was actually toasted. Apparently, most San Francisco cafes don't own a toaster. I believe Avo. Toast should be eaten by hand. Besides, they only give you a delicate plastic fork which is never going to cut anything. The toast is topped with an avocado spread. I prefer a chunky texture, but that's purely subjective. The avocado was perfectly ripe! The next layer was lightly dressed greens, followed by a generous portion of cherry tomatoes. Another bonus point, they weren't the typical tasteless slices of refrigerated beefsteak tomatoes. The dressing gave a little something extra to the flavor profile. Well done Enchanto. I forgot to order a side of bacon and eggs. Next time. The London Fog was delicious too. Normally my rant about laptop encampments would begin here. Too many times I've left a cafe because every seat is filled with oblivious people staring at screens, empty coffee cups beside them. Note, you're going to have neck pain when you're older. Posture! If that's you, know that Enchanto welcomes you with a big sign offering free WiFi. Plenty of available tables, a few vintage outlets in back, and a grimy extension cord without surge protection. Arrive with fully charged battery. Anyway, it's a huge, lovely place playing soft background music. The interior design is a 1970s vision of old world Italian. The menu board offers oodles of bagels, bakery, breakfast items, sandwiches, & coffees. Behind the counter is a shelf full of Torani flavored syrup, conceived in Italy, born in the Bay Area. Yummy bagel, friendly service, really cool ambiance. This place had a genuine neighborhood vibe. The veggie bagel with sprouts really hit the spot and was perfect for more morning hike. The bagel itself was decent, definitely not that classic NY bagel we are all always searching for, but for me that wasn't the point of this place. The cafe had very eclectic decor, including a piano for sale! The lady behind the my was super friendly and funny. She was making the drinks, making the bagel sandwiches and handling the counter without skipping a beat. read more

Needed a cappuccino and a croissant while here in the Outer Richmond, walked over to this joint on Geary and 26th. Spacious inside, with an upright piano in the back. Lots of table seating, as well as a back counter. Coffee was good and strong, and bonus points for heating the croissant with a friendly smile without even being asked. Digging the vibe here, seems like a cool neighborhood joint - I'll be back. read more

I came to Cafe Enchante to do some work in the afternoon and it was a great spot! The coffee and drinks are relatively cheap (a lot of options under $4) and a lot of bagels were under $6. The cafe is spacious with some couch seats too, and had a homey atmosphere to it. I ended up ordering a mango smoothie and the veggie bagel, both tasted fresh and great for the price. What a cool find, and to think this was discovered by just driving by. Our guest wanted dessert after lunch today and chose this place. Quality/Quantity - Known for their Russian tea cakes; we bought the last 5. One of our guests dropped hers, so I gave her mine. Our other guest then decided to give me one bite of hers so at least I was able to try it and Yelp about it. LOL. We also got a few hot chocolates, tea, blended drinks, etc. Atmosphere - What a cool spot; I can't remember what was here before...? The decor is GREAT, sorry but my pictures did NOT do it justice - from the murals, to the mix match furniture. One unisex bathroom, you need a key. Also, I like the idea of non customers having access for $2. See picture. Free wifi, I did not use it. $5 minimum to pay with a credit card, not a problem as we spent way over that. Open 7 days a week from 7:15 am to 5pm. See picture of updated posted business hours. Service - Good, very consistent and busy. A large group of locals came in and they still were able to handle everyone in a timely fashion. The owners are such hard workers, especially the husband. We were here for hours and this man kept busy, he did not stop working, cleaning, taking care of the plants, etc., the entire time we were here! If I can give this place a 10 stars I would definitely give it to them. The coffee shop is an amazing place to get some quick coffee and pastries but also serves some tasty breakfast options. The service is great and very fast I'd say. I got a black ice coffee and a couple of brownies and of course it is indeed just two simple orders but it's the perks that come with it. The cashier lady let me know that the free WiFi code is just right at the counter and refills are only $1.85 which is amazing. I sat down and come to realize that the location in itself gives a very peaceful vibe and has some good background elevator music and throw in some oldies as well which makes the place feel very welcoming. Every time someone does leave the shop I've noticed that workers will come right away to clean the area and was very efficient. This place is indeed a staple and I would highly recommend those that need a quick coffee, quick bite or even just a place to do some school/work. This is the place to be. read more

The service was amazing and the coffee was perfection! The entire cafe is warm and inviting with beautiful wall decor and a talented artist featured. We had a cafe caramel with whole milk and a cafe latte with whole milk, both had a wonderful frothy head and a great flavor. We then had a chocolate lava mountain cupcake with a delectable cream cheese center, the cake was just dense enough to hold the form and support the creamy center. Nice spacious cafe with a faux french vibe. Lots of little tables and free WiFi attract lots of folks working from the cafe, so getting a table can be a little tricky. I was (enchante)d by the BLT when I ordered to-go ~4p here today. My friend got the Californian and a hot chocolate. Food was excellent, hot chocolate (according to them) tasted great, service on point, price reasonable, and clearly COVID-conscious. The place was completely empty when I stopped by, which made for quick service but also gave me a chance to look around. Very nicely decorated with quite a few tables and solid study ambiance. If I were a SF local, I'd definitely come here for a few hours on weekends. Food was properly wrapped up and easy to enjoy in Golden Gate Park. 10/10 experience. read more

Desperately looking for a place to study on a Sunday afternoon, I stumbled across this place. Cafe Enchante is an absolute Gem. Shielded from the elements, Cafe Enchante is a warm cozy coffee shop that carries a fragrant but not overpowering aroma of coffee. The interior aesthetic is quite random, but in my opinion that is part of the charm! Dim warm lights and not overwhelming music create the perfect ambience to get some midterm studying done. There are outlets scattered left and right and there is free wifi! What more do you need? Bathroom is 2 dollars if you are not a customer, but just get a drink it is worth trust me :). On top of that, it gets better! The only thing more warm and sweet than the ambience, is the lovely barista lady. She wears a kind smile and is quite attentive to my requests. Being new to the cafe scene I didn't know what to order and she recommended a mocha drink(which was really good!). Though language may be a slight barrier(slight accent, or perhaps my hearing sucks lol) you can definitely tell she is very patient and enduring. Disclaimer! I fully acknowledge that I am a sucker for good service and that this encounter may have dictated my entire experience... but still! I am not afraid to stand behind this business and rate it with the best that yelp has to offer. I would absolutely come back! read more

I would move to SF just to have everyday access to this cafe. The workers are very kind and the ambiance inside is cozy and welcoming. They have a large variety of food options at a really good fair price and it's all good quality too! The coffee is delicious and don't get me started on the breakfast sandwiches(BOMB). Came here one morning to work from home with a different view. If you can snag a spot by the window the place is brightly lit. If you end up sitting at a table away from the windows it's not as bright but it's still cozy. The pics I took make them place look huge, but it's a decent size. Honestly I rarely go to a cafe to get coffee as I'm usually on the run and grab a Starbucks or Peet's on the go, but the prices seem reasonable. It's a nice place to chill or have a coffee "date". They unfortunately got my order wrong but getting my veggie breakfast bagel on an everything bagel instead of a plain bagel like I had ordered wasn't a big deal. Local neighborhood coffee shop. Friendly baristas everytime I go. They always are friendly despite it being early in the morning. Make bagels really fast, which is great if you're in a rush. Coffee is what you'd expect for a first-wave coffee shop. It will get the job done. Also - plenty of plugs and Wi-Fi which is great if you have to get some work done, its more of a meeting place for people in the area though. Lots of different seating options. I have been here once years back to shield myself from the rain. Little corner shop, a little dark inside but spacious with many seating areas. I thought of them today and came in for lunch. Ordered the smoked salmon sandwich and a strawberry smoothie. I wanted slice white but they only had 4 types of bread (sourdough, rye, soft roll, wheat). I opted for sourdough. Excellent sandwich. Overall: A great cafe for a casual breakfast or lunch sandwich to go with your coffee. The good: A nice reprieve in a neighborhood that is surprisingly sparse cafe-wise. Whether it's breakfast or lunch, there's plenty of sandwiches and small treats to choose from, in a variety of meat and veggie-friendly options. The sandwiches are well-portioned and delicious, and paired perfectly with a homemade mango smoothie on the side. The service was friendly and the food came out within 5 minutes. The not-so-good: Not much honestly, just not a "5 star" experience that truly wowed me. My 2nd time here and I must say, I really dig the aesthetics inside. Very enchante, almost like a garden feel. They have lots of options for bfast sandwiches (my fav is the American). I am a huge supporter of this place. It's my go-to local coffee/ breakfast shop. There's never any long waits and plenty of seating (pre-COVID). I always get the veggie breakfast bagel (avocado, cheese, tomato, egg) with an almondmilk latte which is amazing and the perfect combo after a night out. I've taken my friends here as it's a nice casual spot for breakfast or lunch or to go with coffee! Very friendly service and short wait times. Always live supporting this place. read more

I am a huge fan of matcha drinks, and I loved the green tea blended drink here! The ambiance is super aesthetic and cute, and there are plenty of tables and free wifi, so it's a great work space. The owners were an older asian couple, and they were very quick with their service and worked hard to keep the space clean and organized. The bread was on point, not soggy at all even though this particular sandwich comes with coleslaw inside (I loved the sweetness of the slaw with the Russian dressing). The corned beef was spectacular. And I also liked their potato salad very much. You can bet I'll be ordering again from this place.

I don't know why I haven't tried the latkes yet. I guess I'm not a very wise son. The place is old school and feels perfect inside. It won't transport you magically to the past like many killer authentic interiors will, but it's very easy to imagine what the inside of this store looked like in 1941 or whenever. There was never more than one other person dining in each time I came. Maybe it's because I came so late in the day? More people would make it feel like a convivial breakfast destination. Empty, it feels like a good place with good food. Yes, it's overpriced, especially with all the delicious food you can get for cheaper within a few doors of this business on 24th Street in the Mission. But Wise Sons. It's a thing, a thing I'm glad I got wise to. *Did they sell out? Just didn't bother to make it? Who orders egg salad in the 2020s, anyway?

I ordered a House Special Pastrami Reuben that had a smaller Reuben sandwich, french fries, a side of cole slaw, and a drink ($19.50). While it had half as much meat as the regular Reuben, it was still a good size. They make their own Pastrami and Corned Beef and it tastes great. My wife normally doesn't like Pastrami but loved the taste of Pastrami made by Wise Sons. The meat is thick, tender, juicy, and DELICIOUS!

The bagel was a bit flat and the texture wasn't as fluffy as I was expecting. Overall, I think I'd stop in again if I were in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back again.

I enjoyed the bagel and it definitely is better than others that I've had in and around the general area. The ingredients/toppings are fresh, I just wish they were a little bit more generous on their own. The lox is pretty tasty, and I can tell you that I'm generally pretty picky, and this really stepped up to that plate. For those craving a little bit of sweetness after their meal, they do sell cookies, and I grabbed their marshmallow cookie. The cookie was pretty meh. I definitely would take a pass on the cookie. Service was the big hold back, but I will say that I will go back and try some of their other menu items.

I've been going for many, many years (close to 10--or more?), so it pains me to say that some changes under new management have shifted the experience for me. Jeff Krupman, the founder and chef (who ended up being a friend!) sold the business to one of his longtime employees a year ago or more ago. (He still owns the Mill Valley location). While they tried to keep a lot of things the same h feel noticeably different. It's interesting that it still shows his name as manager. Here's what I've noticed--not in a good way: The menu now feels overwhelmingly meat-forward, with a dearth of thoughtfully designed vegetarian pizzas. I have mentioned this to Jesse (longtime staff) and a female server, asking them to pass this along. Each pizza also seems to have several more ounces of (still very delicious sourdough) dough. The crust is significantly thicker, and there's simply more of it. What once felt light and beautifully balanced now feels heavier. Vegetarian options are largely reduced to subtraction of meat . I've spoken with longtime waitstaff (including Jesse) and asked that this feedback be shared with Juan, the new owner. One server suggested I could just order a pizza without the meat. But a thoughtfully composed vegetarian pizza is very different from a meat pizza with ingredients removed--and at $24, paying full price for a pizza minus its main topping feels unfair. Perhaps there could be a cheaper option availabile for meaty pizzas without the meat. Please consider making The Summer Fave year round, bringing back the Inside Out, and/or creating more pizzas that don't center around multiple meats. Also, I know that the new management has changed some of the ingredients that made their pizzas so special and delicious. In particular, the sausage on the Yo Vinny, which used to be house made is now closer to the generic sausage you'd find at Pizza Hut. Loses so much of the experience to change to these cheaper ingredients. (I lean vegetarian as much as possible but make occasional exceptions, so I know this!) I used to go to Pizzahacker weekly and look forward to it with genuine excitement. Now, while I still enjoy the occasional pizza, that sense of anticipation is gone. I do want to say I'm grateful that my beloved Intermezzo salad remains unchanged--and I still care deeply about this place. I love PH--please consider the earnest pleas of a longtime customer who has eaten there many dozens of times.

The sesame and everything bagels are both generously coated, with a beautiful outer crust that has just the right texture. The inside is soft and chewy. It's a classic New York-style bagel that will satisfy even your strongest bagel cravings. The mini bagels maintain that same excellence, just in a smaller form. Because of their size, the crust-to-center ratio gives you more of the micro-blistered snap that I love about bagels. Personally, I'd choose two or three minis over one regular bagel. The cream cheese is also excellent--well-balanced and smooth. My favorite is the blueberry cream cheese. It has just a hint of sweetness that brings out the richness and creaminess of the cheese. And, like many spots in San Francisco, they offer a sourdough bagel. It's quite different from their sourdough bread, but I enjoyed it. If you're visiting, I'd recommend giving it a try. For my everyday go-to, I'd stick with a classic sesame or plain bagel, but Noe Bagel has enough variety to keep things interesting if you want to switch it up regularly. As a bonus, they sell day-old bagels by the bag for $4. You can freeze them, eat them as-is, or repurpose them into bread pudding. You'll end up with an interesting dish thanks to all the different bagel varieties mixed together--but that's part of the fun!
