Wish I could leave zero stars for this shop. I had them attempt to repair my leather steering wheel. It had a little rough patch in the leather. The guy was an idiot. He said he could try to repair the rough patch and paint the leather. He said it would look good for a while but eventually the paint would peel. I asked how they get stain it in the first place and he said the leather comes black because the cows are black. At the remark I should have run away. But we discussed the repair options and he said he could replace the leather for the damaged section. I left it with him a few days and when I followed up he said he would need to replace the leather on the whole steering wheel. I said OK, but when it was done and I showed up to see it, it was terrible workmanship. The stitching was awful and the seam was as twisted as a snake. I just paid and left, but I shoudl have cut my losses and refused to pay. The scuffed and worn steering wheel was better than what he gave me, but he removed the original leather so what I got in return for my $130 was a worthless piece of junk! I want a refund! read more

Reupholstered our seats and embroidered the name on the company on the front of the seats. They also rewelded the base of the seats which had some cracks. We were very happy with how the restoration of the original seats turned out. I brought my old schools to get worked on and they took parts out and replaced them with old used parts. I now have to take them to court to get my money back. Excellent work. Called several places and looked online for lowest cost option to fix leather tear in back seat and completely re-cover two front seats for 1992 BMW. Alvin's was the least expensive option. They fit us in with 1 days notice, completed the work in a single day and did more than we asked (re-did arm rests too). They even stayed after hours because my work day and traffic delayed my arrival on time - didn't arrive until after 7pm! Will use them again for sure. Highly recommend. read more

Yeah.. I can't believe the job Joe did on my F150 leather seat. Two major rips and I thought it would never come out looking right. When I picked up the truck it was like a new seat. I went to Alvins Upholstery to fix the leather tear in my drivers seat. I was hesitant due to the 1 review on yelp but they did an EXCELLENT job! My seat and leather looks brand new! I love it! Their pricing is great! I got quotes from many companies who all charged around the same price, but Alvins included the leather at no additional charge. Other companies doubled the price to include the leather. They also had my exact leather in stock and completed the job in 2 hours because they knew I needed my car back. I am so happy with the outcome! The shop doesn't look like much from the outside but they did a fantastic job with great customer service. I couldn't ask for anything more! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE .... these guys are the most unprofessional , crooked thieves i have ever dealt with in my life . i restore classic vintage cars for high end customers and i decided to try these guys out for some minor convertible top work since my regular upholstery guy was out on vacation... JOSE calls me to say that the car is done so i drive over to alvins upholstery and as i get out of the car jose greets me with a big smile on his face and gives a bit of extra attention , i thought it was a bit weird since he was a bit cocky and spoke with attitude on the first day we met . so i go over the vehicle and as i make my way to the front of the vehicle i noticed a few chrome pieces missing from the vehicle ..my heart suddenly dropped i wanted to explode. i asked jose where these pieces were and he responds back " I DONT KNOW " i was speechless i calmly said jose please dont play games with me this car was complete when it came to your shop and all i get from him is him flexing his chest like hes getting ready to hit you and the I DONT KNOW AGAIN !!! i didnt know if i should cry , fight , call the police i didnt know what to do...i paid the guy towed the car out and hunted for the missing parts for 6 months and spent 2,000 dollars for the missing parts . please becareful and dont take your car there they are intimidating and crooked. if i was 25 yrs younger i would of handled things differently...i dont want to even give them 1 star these guys deserve to be in jail !! read more

Joe and the guys recovered my boat seats. The back rests were a nice two tone blue and white. They used 32 oz marine vinyl and stainless steel staples. I took my son's car in to the shop to be painted and some body work done on it I was told the car would be done in two weeks when I went back in two weeks they had not even started on the car I was told two more weeks he would guaranteed it would be done, when I went back the same story I ended up having to go to the metal shop to bye the proper metal for the floorboards because the metal they were trying to use was not much more then beer cans. after about two months of playing games I ended up having to go to the paint store and purchase the paint that they were suppose to supply it took me six months to get the car back. the paint job was below beginners grade painting the body work was also very low quality they removed trim from the car and refuse to replace it [ witch on a classic car is not cheap to replace ] overall the shop operates at far below beginners quality and very dishonest practices. on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best you can find I would rate this business at a low one.
