Adorable cafe right near SJSU. A couple of seats and tables inside and out, which might be hard to catch a spot during prime study hour. Wifi is just ok imo, I wish it was faster so I wouldn't say it's the best place to work though the vibes are great. I had a matcha latte and tried the butter Mochi. Both were delicious. The drink was made beautifully. Overall I enjoyed my time here and would come back. Parking kind of sucks tho. Most of the spots are 30 min right out side. You might have to park on a different street to find something if you want to stay for a little bit. read more

Went today, service was amazingly kind and quick, I had very little time to sit down before I got my drink. Went during a lot of people as well. The place felt a lot more welcoming and I much enjoyed the coffee they made for me while my friend got the matcha which was delicious, she isn't a coffee person, but upon trying my drink (the toasted marshmallow) she said it was ok (that means really good as she doesn't like coffee). Overall the place is really good, will start going a lot more. read more

One of the best coffee shops in the area with an exquisite taste in beans rotating from around the world (think DAK and B&W!) If you'd like a proper cortado from a Slayer, look no further. When they get busy service can take a little bit longer, but it's the hallmark of a quality mom and pop shop-- don't pit that against them. I think the ambiance could use some work to make it more warm and comfortable, a dash of character with lights, art or paint. They're getting settled! read more

Took a toasted marshmallow latte to-go and a butter croissant from Midwife and Baker. First bite of the croissant despite being golden brown had a tinge of slightly burnt taste which was surprising. The rest of the croissant past that bite, however, was flaky and delicious. There was even a delightful fluff and buttery quality to the inner part which can be hard to get in croissants. The toasted marshmallow latte was a less-sweet version of a vanilla latte you would have at other shops, but there was a welcome fruitiness to the coffee that I couldn't identify the source from. Barista was very friendly and there were a few regulars who came in, all customers greeted with a warm welcome in. read more

We loved this cute little shop! Ordered the honey lavender latte and the toasted marshmallow latte. Food wise, ordered the ham and cheese croissant as well as the everything croissant. Everything was delicious. Coffee was smooth. Croissants were warmed up and flaky. This is definitely a community shop vibe. Lots of regulars came in where it was nice to hear friendly chatter, as well as four legged dog friends. Service was also quick with quality! my mom and i are always on the hunt for a good latte in the bay area. with 1oz coffee in santa clara now closed (still so so sad about this) we have been on the hunt for our new "go to". AM craft looked promising based on the reviews and so I decided to give this place a try. The shop is small, in an interesting pretty residential looking area with a laundromat on one side and a subway on the other. there are small tables in the shop to sit for a short chat but I don't think they give the vibe of bring a laptop and sit for a while and do work. I came at 1:45ish and the pastries were almost all gone to my disappointment. but they did have cookies left and those looked pretty good although I did not try -- I overheard the worker tell a customer to come early mornin for pastries since they tend to sell out quickly I ordered a regular and a decaf latte. the decaf latte was very very good. the espresso had a caramel-y flavor which made the millk feel very silky and delicious. the regular latte was ok, I honestly had a hard time tasting the espresso and the temperature was lukewarm -- I found it kind of odd how there was a big difference btwn the two cups. They also filled my cup like 3/4 of the way which was disappointing. Overall a good coffee spot but the inconsistency left me a bit disappointed read more

My boyfriend and I love trying new coffee spots and this one was definitely a good find. Right across the street from San Jose state, I would assume it's a very convenient spot for students. First things first: the customer service was really nice and we felt very welcomed! We tried their gingerbread latte which is naturally not too sweet so you can actually enjoy the coffee. When going to places that consider themselves specialty coffee shops I get pretty disappointed when I taste syrup more than I do coffee so this place did not disappoint. The pastry we got paired really well with our coffee but by the looks of it they didn't have a lot out considering it was 11:30-12 when we got there. They take personal cups which is nice to reduce waste! Im already thinking about coming here again! read more

I stopped by because it was the nearest coffee shop to me at the moment. I wasn't sure what to expect because the place seemed very new. I had a hot marshmallow latte and a chocolate pastry. The latte was great. I was worried it would be overly sweet and syrupy, but that was not the case at all. I was still able to taste the espresso, and they definitely know how to pull their shots. Love this tiny, quaint coffee shop! Husband got the coffee flight which he thoroughly enjoyed, while I sipped on a marshmallow latte which did not contain any marshmallows? That's ok though, it was still mildly sweet and I appreciated that it wasn't loaded with sugar. The pastries were delicious as well. Since it's located next to a university (I think the SJ university?), there's a student and teacher discount if you attend the school. Prices are lower than neighboring cities which I appreciate. I'd love to support this local business more if I lived closer! read more

The owner, Michael, is fantastic. He is super friendly and has a vision for being a neighborhood gathering place. Johnny helped me figure out that I liked a nutty, darker roast. The cafe is small but intimate and I love the outdoor seating. In the mornings lots of SJSU students as well as the tech crowd. We went here on a Wednesday mid morning. It is right next to SJSU so its really great for students on breaks or on the way to class. The pictures on yelp are amazing and made me really excited to go and have a new experience. Street parking was super easy with 2 hours free and then there was metered parking across the way. There is 30 minute parking right in front, great if you are ordering to go. They have an outdoor seating area but since it was raining we opted to sit inside. The staff was nice, we ordered after looking at the menu and they brought our coffee to the table. What would have been nice was to have some recommendations as it was our first time there. We ended up ordering the latte and the red eye flight. My latte was great but it wasnt hot enough for me. They did have pastries, muffins and such, i dont think they make them there but they look yummy. We didnt order any food this time, just coffee. There were 3 or 4 paintings on the walls but nothing much else. Its a very nice space and hope they add more too it in the way of ambiance. We were there for about 1.5 hours just chatting and relaxing. During that time we saw a few other customers come in and you can tell it is a very neighborhood type of place. I would go back for sure if I am in the area and want to just hang out for a bit. I didnt take any pictures as I didnt think there was anything too interesting and was more focused on enjoying my time. read more

Great little coffee shop in DTSJ. Their coffee drinks are wonderful -- particularly loving their seasonal gingerbread, but their plain old latte is great as well. Amazing new coffee shop right where San Jose State meets Naglee Park. They're starting up with (almost) daily pop-ups right in front of the store while it's remodeled inside. The plan is for a full opening in August. Until then, the friendly, high quality coffee and pastries vibe is being set. I got the toasted marshmallow latte and all the flavors were balanced out -- it was just right in sweetness, the milk was perfectly frothed, and the espresso was not bitter at all but still tasted like coffee. The double matcha they had for awhile is also awesome. Banana cold foam also goes great on an espresso latte. Now they let you add whichever cold foam you like to whatever drink which is great. Basically you can't go wrong. They are always changing up the menu for the new season and have lots of unique drinks on their menu. Not much seating inside at this location. I've beem too many places who serve Matcha-canos, matcha over ice with sparking water, flat water... I didn't even get to the stage of asking them to put it in my yeti rather than a plastic cup! AM Craft is a coffee shop that caught my eye with its cool logo. Stepping inside, I found a small and cozy environment, perfect for an intimate coffee chat. The dimly lit ambiance added a touch of charm but might not be to everyone's taste. The service was decent, which was a plus. However, parking was extremely difficult, which added a layer of inconvenience to the visit. While the place had its appeal, I couldn't help but feel a bit let down by the coffee itself. It was okay, but it didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of quality and flavor. I visited AM Craft Coffee Shop today and loved the experience! From the moment I walked in, the baristas were incredibly welcoming and always smiling, adding to the cozy vibe. Ambiance is fantastic for a coffee shop, with lots of seating options (single table, bar stools/counter and communal table seating, low volume music conducive to good conversation. Service is relatively fast to bring out the orders, but is self serve for the most part. Your order is called for you to pick up at the counter and with a self busing area in the back after you are done. Food is hit or miss. The pastries are for the most part good. The breakfast sandwich unfortunately was not so much the case. The eggs inside felt like they had been pre-fried and then microwaved. They were tough and chewy which made the cheese and egg breakfast sandwich inedible. The bagel was good, but the chewy eggs ruined it for me. I would still stop by for a good cup of joe or tea when in the area. It's a great place to meet friends and colleagues for informal work meetings too. Skip on the food menu, focus on the drinks.
