    Spanish latte
    Rox R.

Had a Spanish latte and scone. They almost gave us a matcha scone when we ordered blueberry. The Spanish latte was delicious. Scone was ok. We had a great time visiting on the couch. Music was a little loud since we were there to chat but still enjoyed the nice cafe.

I've seen this place while driving by all the time but never went in until today. The plaza where this cafe is tucked in is pretty dead but the shop itself is lively. The coffee was average and you can order all items at a kiosk which seems a bit outdated but suffices. The four stars are for the vibes this place has. I love that there's comfortable seats which is not typical for a coffee shop. They leave the doors open making it feel super open and helps keep the air fresh. There's also a photo both which I think is a super unique touch. I'll definitely be back soon for my long study days.

This cafe is awesome--from the drink to seating to vibes! I got the pink lady ($7.50), strawberry cream with matcha and it was beautifully made and tasted good! My friend got the strawberry matcha latte and I personally liked that one more. The strawberry syrup was delicious but could've have a stronger matcha taste. The seating in this cafe is so nice and it's so spacious in here. Great for chatting or studying although I do find the music to be a bit loud that I can still hear it with my noise cancelling headphones There are also so many cute things they sell here and a photo booth which i thought was unique! Would come here again

This place has been my go-to since I work nearby, but I stopped coming for a bit after a long wait once made me late for work. I recently came back on my day off and was happy to see the service was quicker. The banana and Nutella toast is still my favorite, though the bread seems different now. My drink was really good, and the vibe is chill and laid back. I'd probably come back again. I would've gave this place a 4 star but the bread change was definitely not it.

I went to their other location before and tbh I walked right out since Everything was sold out for some reason and just didn't seem appealing. I went to this location close to my work and even though they were out of matcha I opted for a chai latte which was delicious wish it could be bigger. I got their almond croissant and their chocolate muffin with cream cheese and those are both top tier! Would go back for those items again. Customer service is friendly as well. They don't have everything on the kiosk like some bakery items so you can also order with someone as well.

June 2025: Photo Booth located inside!

I visited on a busy weekend morning. There was plenty of seating inside and lots of parking. A great place to catch up with friends, but quite loud if you need a quiet study place. There was also a photo-booth located inside for pics! Service was great. Shout out to Carol for being super sweet and helping me narrow down my drink. Everything came out fast. The drinks I ordered were on the sweeter side. Next time I would ask them to lower the sweetness of possible. The Pink Lady (matcha with strawberry cream) was pretty, but the matcha flavor wasn't as potent as I wanted it to be. The Panda Latte was my favorite.

    Pandan paradise

I got the Pandan Paradise Decaf with no ice (they can't do it hot) and really enjoyed it! It wasn't too sweet or grassy, it's my first time trying Pandan so I'm not sure if it was the authentic flavor, but yummy nonetheless. The Pandan I believe is in the green foam on top. The barista asked if I wanted ice on the side which I thought was considerate. Service was fast, but there was also not too much rush. Plenty of parking in the complex, and the bathrooms are for customers only (code on the bottom of the receipt) and were kept clean. Lots of seating with both tables and couches, and people were working and chatting.

Came here on a Sunday to get some work done and I was glad to see there's so many open seatings and outlets. It's a big open space, though the decor & vibes here doesn't seems to be very cohesive. The cashier here weren't super friendly either. I tried the Tiramisu Latte and it has good amount of sweetness. It's super creamy and tasty but I can tell the coffee quality wasn't as high. Cafe Big Mug is a decent cafe but not particularly standout versus its competitors. If you're looking for a no frill kinda spot just to study with a lot of seating then this place might suits you!

Cafe Big Mug appears to be a staple cafe in the area for studying and catching up with friends. There are plenty of tables and seating areas. There was also a photobooth and a stationery area where you could purchase cute item, although I didn't partake in those activities. I mainly came here for the viral strawberry matcha drink. The customer service was good. The employees were attentive and answered any questions you had while ordering and picking up your order. The lighting was aesthetically pleasing and it was quiet enough to do work and chat with friends. I think I may have ordered the wrong beverage for my taste, but my drink was not very sweet and mostly tasted like water and matcha. My friends tiramisu drink was delicious and pleasant, though. I am willing to try Big Mug another time if my friends ever suggest it. I'll just order a different drink instead of their strawberry matcha drink. Parking was okay on a weekend. It's in a lot with spaces around the store.

Literally my favorite study spot. I love their tiramisu latte, which is very sweet and creamy. They have a mix of tables and couches to sit at. It can get packed but at least they have a lot of free parking available outside. You order at a kiosk. I would recommend upgrading hot drinks to a large to get it in an actual big mug, true to their name. I especially love this place because they sell a small variety of notebooks, art, keychains, and skincare. And they have a Photobooth inside. Such a nice mix of things and a good place to chat or study. I'll be back soon!

Love the coffee, vibes and coziness here. I have been to Big Mug at a different location, and this is pretty similar, but a bit smaller. But at the same time it feels lighter and keeps the same comfy atmosphere here for talks, working over laptop, just enjoying the coffee cup. Parking is available in front of the building. Restroom is quite specious. You do need to keep the receipt to get the password or you can ask. The same goes for the wifi password. The staff was amazing, I really loved talking to barista. I ordered large latte and really loved the cup!

pandan paradise and big mug special
    Linda W.

My friend and I came on a weekday after seeing some TikToks about this place. I got the Big Mug special (this may be the wrong name, but something along those lines) and my friend got the pandan drink. I honestly thought my drink was going to be bigger and also milk based since I was asked on my milk preference, and instead got something closer to a cold brew with sweet foam on top. The sweet foam was amazing, but the drink overall wasn't anything super out of the ordinary. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her pandan drink, so I think that I just didn't order the best drink for me. This is a super cute and cozy study spot with fast and reliable wifi, so if I were to be near the area again I would try it again and order something different.

I highly recommend…read moreit for people who don't want to deal with the line that understandably goes out the door. The food is worth the wait. Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.

Since then they have settled down and got things together. This should have been a five-star review, but . . . I am impressed by their unique pastry offerings. Today we ordered a Matcha Chocolat, a Pastrami Suisse (sorry, no photo - my wife devoured it before I could get a picture of it ...), a Burrata Avocado Toast, French Onion Soup (again, no photo), and an Americano. First of all, the coffee was superb! Great espresso flavor and aroma, but not astringently bitter. It really complimented the Matcha Chocolat's sweetness, even though, in my opinion, matcha tea and chocolate really do not go well together - this combination worked! The French Onion Soup was fabulous! Great aroma, and the sweet onion flavor was so delightful. This alone would be satisfying. And it is one of these rare instances where one would not want to have anything else that would ruin the state of bliss. That being stated, it did pair with the Pastrami Suisse, and together they complimented each other so well. What did not work well was the Burrata Avocado Toast. I have to say that this did not impress me at all, except for presentation (it looked nice!). The toast was soggy and the crust ultra hard. There was more mozzarella cheese than avocado (could not even taste the avocado . . .). What shined, however, was not the actually avocado toast, but the accompanying salad. Tasty! Unusual, however, in that I could taste the greens, the tomatoes, and the radishes - the dressing was not overpowering as I find to often with many restaurants. I found this salad to be quite refreshing! Now, if they can work on that toast . . . I am pleased that they have found their footing here. I highly recommend their pastries and coffee. However, they will need to reevaluate and work on their avocado toast.

That reliability is rare, and it's why Bloom is always my first recommendation. When family or friends visit from out of town (or locally) Bloom is where I take them. Every time. The food speaks for itself. The steak is cooked exactly to order, every single time. Medium rare means medium rare tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The duck fat potatoes are so good I order an extra side even when they come with my entrée. My wife loves their chicken and waffles. It's a difficult meal to pull off, but Bloom does it justice! The chilaquiles are outstanding they genuinely capture authentic Mexican flavors in a way that holds up against homemade family recipes and the best taquerias I've been to. The cocktails here are the best in the Bay as well. They taste delicious, and the presentation is eye-catching and photo-worthy. They're also strong without sacrificing taste, which is so hard to find. Sometimes a cocktail is delicious but weak, or strong but unpleasant. Bloom's drinks are perfectly balanced every time. Our favorite drink is the Palomina. It's refreshing, complements the food beautifully, and it's the kind of drink that keeps you sipping until the glass is empty. Whether you're celebrating or simply treating yourself, Bloom is the destination for a boozy brunch done right. This restaurant is truly our favorite. We've come here to celebrate life's milestones, and we've come here during difficult times when we needed a pick me up. Great food brings comfort, and we know we can always count on Bloom to deliver.
