Such a cute little spot. Really gives off date night vibes. The drink menu looked so good and very extensive but decided to go with the Strawberry Lemonade and it was so fresh and delicious! The corn fritters were good but not my favorite part of the meal. Pretzel was made to perfection but cheese fondue had a touch too much booze in it for me. The tortilla soup was amazing! So light but so full of flavor and texture. Fried Chicken was a bit salty but I could eat a whole plate of those mashed potatoes!! Also ordered a side of Mac n cheese and it was perfection! Initial drinks took a bit longer to get but the appetizers and entrees came out super fast. Great spot for a date or a get together. read more

I've gotten food here to go only so my review is based on the food the Salmon is delicious an so are the Brussel sprouts.

Always a good meal here with care given to drinks and service. Often crowded but sit at the bar and chat up the bartender for a fun visit.

We are regulars at Amaro's. Both locations are terrific. I love all of the salads and the cioppino is amazing. Very talented bar tenders as well. read more

We arrived a few minutes ahead of our reservation and were seated right away. We had a reservation for outside dining but were taken to a table inside which was great for the cold snowy day it was. We arrived to our table and was greeted with water already on the table. This, in my opinion, sets the tone for great service. For drinks, we ordered an Arnold Palmer and the Berry Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade. My mistake was not mixing the first Arnold Palmer. It was still very tasty. The Lemonade was the perfect combination of sweet and tart. For an appetizer, we order the Bavarian Cheese Fondue. It came with a soft pretzel. The pretzel itself was less than impressive; but, you have to go into it with the mindset that the pretzel is just a vehicle for the fondue. The fondue should always be the star, and Amaro's makes that happen. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Rigatoni Bolognese and the Beef Tenderloin Medallions. The pasta was cooked well and the Bolognese was rich and complimented by both beef and sausage, and topped with sliced kielbasa. The steak medallions were cooked perfectly to order and were so very tender. Along with the medallions came a side of mashed potatoes and squash with a few kale leaves to top it off. The steak was placed on a bed of tri-pepper Demi glacé which complimented the dish nicely. Finally, service was wonderful. Our waitress was very friendly and had good recommendations on the menu. We were never left unattended nor were we hassled by constant contact. They did a great job. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

It was just ok there was nothing unique or special about the food. It wasn't terrible and it wasn't great. It was very cold seated next to the windows either they are not well sealed or they just are so cold I needed to wear my jacket to eat lunch. Happy hour menu is only happy if you have an expensive drink. I am not going to share pictures of a chicken Marsala and a pretzel with cheese you have all seen it. What I will say is that it cost 60 bucks along with two drinks. Kinda spendy for food I can get anywhere. The service was ok but once you get food you won't see anyone again till you ask for your bill. I probably would not go back because it was not very memorable and I think the food is overpriced for the product. However lots of people seem to love this food and the location so experience it for your own and decide based on your experience and not mine! read more

My wife goes to this place all the time. Tonight we both went (my first time) and it was really good. I had their fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. All of it was amazing. She got the salmon and we both got very good cocktails to start. Highly recommend. read more

The food was amazing although the chicken marsala lacked the marsala taste. My other guests had braised beef. Three thumbs up for them. The service was very good. Didn't feel the ambiance. Rare find in Hazel Dell, the land of junk food. We have eaten here several times. The staff is friendly and professional. I am generally not a fried chicken guy, but they serve a massive breaded chicken cutlet dinner that is awesome. They make a good burger. I also enjoyed the prawn linguini and I am an NY Italian. The wedge salad is not on par for their venue. The converted the horrible Applebees into a comfortable soothing atmosphere. Overall, worth having on your go to list. Two blocks off of the 99th Street exit on I5. No need to go downtown, save the gas. read more

I've seen this Hazel Dell location up and running for a while now, but I didn't realize the great quality of food and atmosphere until recently. For some reason, I initially didn't think Amaro's Table was somewhat of a "fancy" restaurant (well, at least for Vancouver standards)! So far, we've ordered the salmon niçoise salad and the fried chicken sandwich. We've devoured these delicious dishes every time and would recommend others to do so. read more

This is probably the best fried chicken I've ever had! The crust was crispy and a little bit peppery, but overall very flavorful and delicious! There were two pieces of chicken in this order but they were filtered out to be more flat (perfect if you like breading). The Mac n cheese could've been a bit more cheesy and a little warmer, but that's a minor improvement. The honey butter sauce had some flakes of red chili in that (just in case you're very spice intolerant) but had a lovely maple taste and was a perfect addition to the chicken. The homemade ricotta was also fantastic and spread beautifully on the crostini, 10/10 presentation. The cocktail menu had a lot of unique drinks I'd be interested in trying someday. Our server Serene was really sweet as well, checked in frequently and made sure we had all the takeout containers we needed (that chicken is a *large* portion.) Very easy to find location with a large parking lot, though I can see how it may get busy at night. The atmosphere within the restaurant was homey and welcoming but still a bit classy. If I'm in the area again I would 100% go back. All the food we had was well worth it and the staff were amazing! read more

We've been loyal Amaros Table customers for many years. Today was bad enough I'm not sure we will come back. Many changes to the menu. Prices increased. Club sandwich changed (different bread and WAY less meat) service was slow. Soda left empty. Clam chowder included an egregious amount of olive oil topping and inedible, over fried clams. Yuck all the way around. Online menu and pricing don't match what's in the store. read more

WOW just wow. This is absolutely our new favorite restaurant. The service was top tier, decor was absolutely stunning and the food was out of this world. Our table had multiple chicken dinners, a French dip sandwich and a club sandwich. Everything was amazing. The fried chicken was seriously the best we have ever had. Okay - no joke. This might be one of my favorite restaurants in America and I am extremely sad that I don't live in the area. The BF wanted to check out Vancouver, WA and asked me to pick a place for dinner. After searching through Yelp, I decided on Amaro's Table. (The Hazel Dell location because they take reservations online) We arrived at a giant parking lot next to McDonald's and the outside of the restaurant honestly looks like an Apple Bees... but the inside decor blew me away. It was simple and elegant with a slight romantic vibe without it being dimly lit. We were seated in a booth and they made sure that every other booth was empty, following proper COVID guidelines. After reading all the reviews for the original Amaro's, I KNEW I had to order the fried chicken. But I also ordered the calamari, the beet salad, and the brussel sprouts. The BF got the burger. The beet salad was good, so was the calamari. The dipping sauce served with the calamri is amazing. The fried chicken is probably the best fried chicken I have ever had and I've had a lot of fried chicken. It was crispy on the outside and extremely tender and juicy on the inside. The syrup was sweet and paired well with the chicken. The portions were so big I could only eat half since I also had the salad and calamari beforehand. We ordered the donuts (per other reviewer's suggestions) and the creme brulee (my favorite desert). The donuts weren't doing it for me - it was a bit too dense. However, the creme brulee was amazing and you can see and taste the vanilla bean. Our meal only came out to $100, in the Bay Area, it would have cost about 50% more. The next time I'm in the Portland area I would definitely come back... possibly every night if I can. read more

We stopped into this place for a early dinner and it happened to be happy hour 2-5pm on a Friday. We had their soft pretzel, hand made chips, chicken sandwich, carnitas tacos, Caesar salad and Mac n cheese. All nice small portions so we were able to try a lot of food. Loved the atmosphere. Our server Nicky was a complete doll. Although we didn't drink any cocktails their spirits menu is grand. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and a great time. As we were wrapping up our meal we were blessed with this dessert that was delicious!!! read more

Nice atmosphere. Food was good.the waitress was not very knowledgeable about the menu but I assumed she was new.

We tried this spot for the first time tonight. Unfortunately, due to Covid, they are only able to have outdoor seating-- they have a decent set up, dry, socially distanced, even "walls" between tables. However, the tiny little heaters are not the best we've seen during our visits to other outdoor seating venues-- we actually kept our gloves on right up until our plates arrived and put them back on as soon as we finished eating. Food, though, was great as was the service! Our friend got the Fried Chicken-- hubby and I were jealous and wished we had chosen that! Our club sandwich was also very good as was the regular cheeseburger. Fries were cooked perfect and several offerings of dipping sauce. Glad we tried it.. now just hope indoor seating opens up again soon! read more

The hostess (name?) as well as our server,Jessica, were very attentive to our needs to the point of anticipation. Update: drinks have gone from unforgettable and stellar to meh. Some food items have remained good, like the carnitas tacos and the corn fritters. But the new hummingbird cake tastes like cheap dollar store floor mix; you can barely taste any banana or pineapple.. kind of tasteless. The produce was not tasty or above average. All the cocktails were not good; maybe above "pub" quality, but not anywhere close to what they used to be. It was our first time here tonight and we were delighted with every moment from beginning to end. From the polite and friendly staff, to the delicious food and amazing drinks, to the brilliant dessert, everything was impressive and exceeded any expectation. Our party of four tried a variety of the drinks and entrees and loved all of them. The fried chicken and ribeye were the favorites in general, but the risotto was my personal favorite. For appetizers-the brussel sprouts and the calamari were fantastic. Everyone was so attentive, making the service phenomenal. Just wonderful! The party I went with all had a great time. All the food was fantastic! The clam chowder was delicious ! My Moms husband got the pork chop and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned . I split a French dip with my Mama and we were both pretty impressed ! My partner got the daily risoto (shitaki muchrooms and grilled chicken) and again the flavor and texture was just perfect . This was our first time dining here. The service was amazing, the food was fresh and well prepared, the fried chicken on my risotto was crispy and juicy, the risotto with vodka sauce was very tasty and cheesy, yum!! The prawn & elote and the steak salad were excellent, although the steak was a little more well done than what was ordered. We were celebrating my Mom's birthday and they brought her a birthday card and the ricotta donut holes for dessert....they are a must have!!! This is the best restaurant I have eaten at in the Portland / Vancouver metro. Service: 5 stars, I really wish I paid more attention she was awesome. She was new, and is a keeper. We were very slow on making an entree decision, and she nicely acknowledged this by asking if she was asking too often. 100% our fault and 100% the best thing on hers. Food: 5 stars, the fondue was good (we'd try another appetizer next time as fondue is fondue), the house salad with the blackberry vinaigrette is the best. I have never emptied a plate of salad previously. We shared the chicken sandwich, it's the best one I've ever had. Nothing was overpowering and everything on it worked well together. The ricotta donuts are delish. I hate donuts to be clear, but when they are hot and served with caramel they are amazing, they are sized perfectly. Only complaint is the drink pricing but the presentation compliments it. We 100% will return more than once. read more
